Just loved this chapter loved the "wolf" joining Asa on the bed..... Caleb appears to be a changed person hooray. Hopefully Asa will work his light magic to cure the pups in Montana.

Really enjoying reading this story don't lose your mojo cause there appear to be fewer readers - those of us still with it obviously feel it worth reading.... despite no fangs or blood. To me at this stage in time this is more realistic without any of that.

It could also be instinct in animals.. we adopted 2 kune kune piglets who had the run of a large part of the garden. They quickly settled in and ate grass and their roots as well as dandelions again with roots..and a number of other weeds. Once it was blackberry season they were avid eaters of both the fruit and the leaves. The one plant they have totally avoided is the rhubarb plant which would be poisonous. BTW their most disgusting snack is crunching and eating snails they come across.

Great chapter loved the ceremony where he was welcomed into the tribe . I often visited my gran's farm which had a long drop toilet well away from the farmhouse... and you had to go quickly in order to avoid the geese from biting you.. then check the seat for spiders.. and behind the door for snakes.. My aunt tells of a time (when I was still quite little) when I came running back into the kitchen holding my shorts and shouting...." the bloody spider nearly bit my ass off"

What a fantastic holiday for them all. I have been lucky enough to be in Hermanus when the whales came in and totally loved the experience. Knysna is very beautiful and we had a couple of nights there on our drive up to Durban from Cape Town.
