    The Lake House

This chapter was touching, to say the least. To have Gunnar flash back to "one of his previous lives" was a trip! Having people around the area that may recognize him is concerning, but I'm sure our werebear can handle it. Wonderful chapter.
  2. Thanks for this comment, Patch! I knew as I wrote about Cyrus' navy blue eyes, you and Philippe would get excited for the Electric Panda. Thanks for commenting, centex! I think Tierney backed down due to being in Cyrus' condo and he hadn't seen the blue irises before. To see them and everyone's hair stand from the electricity would be a frightening sight. Mason just needed a swift kick in the tushie. He and Vincent are doing just fine... I wonder how they'll handle potty training... I doubt Stefan has interests in New York, but who knows... Blasphemous! They are delicious! Broccoli is equally delicious! I dash mine with some ranch seasoning and I'll eat it all. I wonder if Mason will hold Vincent accountable for mowing the lawn?
  3. Listen, if I had to choose between a hot dog and some stir-fried mushrooms, I'm going with the mushrooms every single time! Vinsy probably had his own agenda to get both toddlers to eat their veggies. I have not been around a lot of kids in my life, and this has created an innate fear of them. (my opinion...) They're incredibly unpredictable, and their vocabulary is not exempt. The things I heard this past weekend from a defiant toddler... I'd say THE DEconstruction. What's with this story and moles?!?!
  4. I'm really happy with this chapter! I was so nervous about writing for Lowe for such a lengthy period of time considering I have not been around a lot of kids Lowe's age. Luckily, I went on a weekend mini-vaca to see some friends and I hung out with their kiddo. The behaviors and speech patterns were completely on point. Who knows what that New York businessman is thinking! Who knows what else will come out of Snyder's mouth? Who knows what will happen next? ... Your author knows.
  5. Tierney, Kaplan, and Dirk walked from their parking spot a few blocks from Cyrus' condo. Over the years, he became accustomed to the bear's preference of nabbing an opening when possible. Still, we passed a few options for closer parking. Upon reaching the destination, the trio found Wagner waiting in the lobby. "Alex." With passing humans nearby, the lower-ranked lycan discreetly bared his neck, "Sirs. If I may ask, was there a reason my charges weren't mentioned?" The council looked
  6. Follow-up thought, don't mean to comment again but I can't help my fingies. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but was there mention that pack pets could be purchased? If so, I'm under the assumption Gunnar has some serious money if his Papa has all these properties. I would have asked for a price, but that's me thinking...
  7. I'm thinking Gunnar is a sneaky bear. He'll do his best to avoid confrontation against such a large pack. I also don't think he'll get the ladies involved in this mess; he'd be beside himself if one gets hurt. Looking forward to seeing Gunnar's plan!

    Chapter 32

This made my night! I have no words for this comment.
  9. I'm surprised more patrons weren't eyeballing Gunnar with his out-of-place manners. It goes to prove that Gunnar is Mike knight in shining armor-to be. Excellent chapter.

    Chapter 42

A lot of details and information with this chapter. I'm interested in the symbolism of the bands and Garjah's insistence on having Essell wear them. They must mean a lot more considering there is deeper symbolism on how they are worn and on what arms. I'll put five bucks on this...

    Chapter 32

Do I need to send Cyrus and Kaplan a message? There might be some hidden feelings for various reasons. Kieran may be the smartest person in the pack, but boy is he dopey...
  12. I love this comment! I think you're going to find Vincent's wolf (commonly referred to as VincentW in the comments) is acting like a puppy, but has more adult intentions.
  13. Mike keeps getting put in stickier situations. Hopefully, Gunnar will be on the way to save the day... Good writing, keep it up!
  14. This was a much needed chapter for pacing reasons. Very well written and it was a blast to read! I can only hope the She-Wolves make a reappearance, perhaps when Gunnar takes Mike away from the Silver Bullet...

    Chapter 32

For a literal know-it-all, Kieran needs to open his eyeballs. I wonder how long Arric's been hiding these emotions... Thanks for commenting, Patch!

    Chapter 32

All the days are the same for this overnight grocery stocker! Every day is a teasing day. Ha! What makes you think trouble's on its way?
  17. This is a very interesting turn of events. Nick was Kane's proverbial pet before Mike, causing Kane's swaying interest. The alpha may have dastardly intentions for Mike, but at least our human may consider him an ally, of sorts. I can only hope Gunnar will come in at some point and save the day. Great work so far!

    Chapter 32

All of the new findings were relayed to Arric and the surrounding pack leaders. From the receipts found in the abandoned truck, it was obvious the rogues were staying in Green Bay. Ken made a list of the places and had several officers canvas the businesses for statements. "Since these rogues are y'all's pack, I'll let Claude decide when to bring it up to SFBI. I recommend now so they can assist in the manhunt." Shea agreed. "Yeah, I'll call Arric." The wolf turned away with his phone.
  19. Another well-written and brutal chapter. Hopefully after this night, things will look up for Mike.
  20. Patch!!!! I'm glad you liked the chapter. I'm sure we'll see Cyrus' magic in a chapter or two...
  21. NSFW warning. I'm unashamed to say my appreciation for Bo Burnham, especially his new special, Inside, on Netflix. One of the two songs I've listened to nonstop for the past thirty-six hours. Edit: From the cackle leading into the third part of the song, I'm not afraid to throw Bo's name in the running to play The Joker in a future Batman movie.

    Chapter 41

Looks like Bouncer needs some training. Great comical moment and it was placed perfectly. The ending has me waiting in anticipation. I love a good em-dash, and using it as a cliffhanger of sorts is just pure evil... Did Essell's thoughts get interrupted, or are we continuing the thought going into the next chapter? Cia, I hope your hand goes through a speedy recovery! I was almost done writing my comment, but I'm glad I Ctrl+C'd my work when I refreshed the page. This comment is really, really funny to me!
  23. You keep one-uping yourself with these comments! A wonderfully elegant recap @Philippe!
  24. Is it Wednesday? I think it is! Which means it's time for... 🎶 Aaaaaaaask An Author! 🎶 Oh, boy! I hope speech-to-text capabilities don't advance any time soon, because that was just awful! My husband's looking at me like I'm a crazy person! Anyway, we have another three questions for one of GA's authors! • • • • • Solitude of the Photo C.T. Piatt The lens of the camera is shallow. It sees colour and shape. It gives the illusion of motion in two dimensions. It draws the light from the dark. In that space between lens and subject, between picture and reality, lies solitude. Jonah lived in that solitude, content within its embrace. The descriptions and details really bring this story to life and made it a riveting read. Are you a photographer or artist yourself? I dabble in photography, have a decent camera and a couple of lenses - well it was decent when I bought it 10 years ago. I've tried painting/drawing but I can't get my body to create what I see in my mind. Photography is simpler to achieve that. I do create in other ways - mostly sewing (from scratch and repurposing) and jewellery. I know I can 'see' what I want to create. And I want my words to paint what I see so others can see it too. I'm pleased to hear that I achieved that. All the stories you have posted on GA are short stories. Do you have any longer work or plans for longer stories? I do have longer stories in the works, but they seem to just keep growing and I never find 'The End'. It's easier for me to write shorter and finish. Plus there is always another story jumping around in my head demanding some attention. Currently with the change in the world I have ended up with employment that takes up most of my time (too much of my time) and my hobbies are suffering. I know I need to achieve a better work/life balance - maybe this will kick my butt into doing more for me. What was your inspiration for this story? I was once that photographer - taking photos of cars racing around the track. But I was there with my family and friends, all of whom took part as drivers. Except me. I can't stand just being a spectator so I took up the camera to be active and to make memories. One such event 'Jonah' started talking to me. The story was born that night after everyone else had gone to bed. • • • • • I love the answer to the first question! I have a soft spot for a story that takes it time to paint every emotion, every movement, and every single second in the world. If you liked this interview, make sure to go read the story (link in the story title). After that, go check out @C.T. Piatt's other works (link in the author's name under the title)! Don't forget to send me some questions! Anybody can send me questions about any author's story! I'll see y'all next month!
  25. The author knows things... Snyder's rumor is disgusting, but before Kaplan meeting Cyrus, we can see where it was created. Since Kaplan's introduction to NYSP, he's been at Tierney's hip. Thanks for commenting, doc! It was high time those two finished the deed! Thanks for commenting, mikedup!
