I'm happy for Cyn and his progress! Let's just see how he handles the mysterious reflection of light. Perhaps, a lost kid with a magnifying glass?
-
I mean, it could be a bottle. Who knows?
-
Nope, still winging it. Well, thank you! I'm glad you think so! Please don't tell me you're going to dub my cliffhangers "Coyote Cliffies."

Teehee. Now, now. Get your mind out of the gutter. We might have to wait and see about Cyn's neat shifting trick. I'm not sure if Cyn would know what a haiku is, but I'm sure he'd appreciate it! Thanks, glad you're liking the chapters, Cincy! Well, I wouldn't say I abuse them. I just like to use them

Or a camera, or some glasses... There are a lot of options! Going straight for the rifle theory, huh? Do you want our characters to deal with that nonsense? Poor Cyn just wanted to walk side by side with his boy-toy.

“Any day now, commander.” Hearing his Alpha’s gruff voice broke Shea’s contact with Cyn. Right. I need to attach the pack to Cyn. Gripping the satchel, the lycan placed it on the buck’s back and fastened the straps on the beast’s undercarriage. Bringing out the additional harness strap, he did his best to tighten it around the front of Cyn’s neck without causing an issue. “Is that bothering you?” Cyn let out a light breath from his nostrils, signalling that it wasn’t. Feeling the bag o

Garjah, you are an interesting being. To feel the need to take care of Essell without displaying such emotion. From the last few spoken sentences, I'm getting a vibe from Garjah that Essell is almost like a pet versus a partner. I'm interested to see how the conversation will continue to play out. Timok is still concerning me. It seems the ability to be sassy is not just found in humanity. Either he doesn't want the human on board, he intends on further experimentation, or some other dastardly plot. He's a problem, but I don't know whether Garjah or Essell will figure that out.

It's a side story from her Carthera series Edit: the toy gets a very brief mention and is not a recurring role

Noah is off with his new job and it is taking time to get used to it. He accepted a job as an assistant project manager for remodeling, closing, and opening various stores across the country. While he isn't too far from home during this first job assignment, it is distant enough to bring me back to our dating days. When we first started dating, we were several hours away from each other for the majority of our relationship prior to him moving in with me. We've reverted back to our dating tactics of looking forward to planned weekend moments and spending as much time with one another as possible. The main difference that I'm combating is being on my own. I've never done this before! During college, I lived on my fraternity's dormitory floor with friends surrounding me at all times. Even when I moved out of the dorms, I had a roommate. This is a surreal experience, to say the least. I'm cooking for myself and myself alone for the first time. If I make a dish that will generate leftovers, I'll be the only one eating it. There are four bowls of Mexican Street Corn sitting in my refrigerator, and now I'm cooking bacon to break the monotony! Grocery shopping is vastly different now! I'm shopping for one, and I'm passing family pack everything. There's no solution for this lonesome chef! It's almost tempting to start a TV dinner diet, but I refuse to let myself stoop to radiation meals. Our bed has become my office. It has been over a week since I last sat on any furniture in the living room. I'm also getting used to the silence. TV shows will be watched occasionally, but the only sounds in my apartment currently is the sound of my fingers slamming against laptop keys and the bacon sizzling on the stove. Is this how people go insane, or how one achieves tranquility? My life has never been more productive. I have never been one to do laundry at a regular interval, but this new lifestyle has encouraged a schedule. I get home and begin a process: shower, cook/reheat food, check on dishes (load dishwasher, start if needed), laundry check, spend remaining time on GA until bedtime. I have considered getting a gym membership or start walking around the neighborhoods just to get out of the house, but I'm usually sore enough from my job to constitute that as my exercise for the day. But the daily calls from Noah keep my mind clean. I know he has it much rougher living in a hotel room without a proper kitchen and an unfamiliar bed. It's a lot of McDonald's and microwave meals for him, so I should have no room to gripe. Just listening to him talk about his job is enough to keep me smiling, despite his job consisting of him standing around and doing literally nothing. At the end of the day, I know he'll be home soon. Noah, two hundred miles won't keep us apart. I love you, big guy. I can't wait to see you again.

Upon first glance at this thread, I immediately thought of one of my favorite stories on this site and the song that was mentioned near the end of the story "Inside of You" by Hoobastank. It is very obvious the song is about sex, especially when a particular admin writes about a particular toy in a particular story.

I'm loving the fact that you're loving it! Thanks for the comment!

Oh, c'mon now! That's just...heartless! Ah, it's okay, I get it. I try to keep these chapters under 3k words. You'll just have to wait until the next chapter. I bet he does too! But they're on a mission. I doubt Arric would allow such silliness on a mission of high importance. I haven't mentioned it, but he's a Whitetail.
-
Oh, no! Not you, too! Did Val and Danners tell you how to get in my Stories folder? I don't know the meaning of repetitive. Glad you liked the chapter! Have fun reading

All eyes were on Arric. The Alpha noticed that his Beta held an approving gaze, the commander seemed shocked, and the deer remained terrified. “Farren, you seem disturbed.” Snapping out of his fazed thoughts, Shea shook his head, “No, sir! I’m just...you’re coming on the mission?” “Yes, it’s been a while since I stretched my legs. Don’t let my presence hinder your leadership. I’ll just be along for the ride as back-up.” Turning to Walter, Arric smirked, “Can you hold the fort down?”

Chapter 7: Abhorrent Alpha
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 7: Abhorrent Alpha
I was wondering when someone was going to point that out! A thousand points to Patch! Great analysis of the chapter! I'm really happy you liked this chapter, bud! I'm writing like a mad man, as I feel I have fallen behind on my daily quota... -
Chapter 7: Abhorrent Alpha
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 7: Abhorrent Alpha
Him having a tail was just more of a discovery. It's just another factor of being a shifter that Vincent must get used to. I'm glad you're enjoying the stories so far! Vincent isn't afraid to harm, but killing might be a whole other story... I like the referral to the group being an informal council! But only time will tell what will happen with Kordell's influence and actions. -

Okay, this was needed! I'll be going back and fixing this in all the chapters when I find some spare time. Thank you for calling me out on this! Ha! Alphanator. Can't wait for this particular storyline to bloom... Vincent can stretch his shadow. One can only assume that he saw Caleb rush Yakob, he dipped in the shadows, and he stretched his shadow to latch on to Caleb. Jeez! Y'all must not like this new Alpha! I think the proverbial 'Alphanator' will show up in several chapters' time. Thanks for the comments! I'm writing as fast as I can! -

What a way for me to get ready for bed! I love the analysis for Kordell! Keep them bad vibes coming, because it's only going to get worse. As always, thanks for commenting, Centex! I look forward to your comments with every posted chapter! Edit, in response to the P.S.: Nope, there's three. It says that they are a trio in the first paragraph of the scene. -
Vincent kept his eyes glued to his dueling teachers. Between Elaine's offense and Yakob's defense, they're so evenly matched! I can't imagine taking either of them on like this! Elaine was keeping the monk on his toes by sending out random icicle spears while keeping her distance. She would lash out with an occasional staff strike but stepped back when the shadow tendrils got too close. Yakob struck back as well by sending whips and chains, only to be blocked by Elaine's shield. In the tus

How exciting! As per usual, I can't wait for next Wednesday! I'm still feeling some suspicion on Timok for some reason, and I can't point my finger at the proper reasoning.

I agree, it's Carlos. I found the evidence I needed.

Chapter 5: Cyrus' Scourging
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 5: Cyrus' Scourging
This comment carries such an intense weight! It is, without a doubt, that I will need to give Cyrus's backstory at some point, and this comment will help push me to make it just as powerful! Thank you for this comment! -
Chapter 28: Troublesome Turning
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 28: Troublesome Turning
I'm so glad you pointed out Vincent learning to walk! I think this is what encourages me to write. Reading story after story, I notice details that I would love to learn more about, to get more details about. There are so many tiny events that happen in life that, in my opinion, should be explored. If a story mentions a trip to the grocery store, but offers no details, I get upset. Did something happen at the grocery store? Did the character find a sale? Did they run into a familiar face? Did a kid throw a pickle jar? I want to know, therefore, I want my readers to know! For Vincent, learning to walk, bark, and howl are detrimental to being an animal. The main character turned into a wolf for the first time. I could have kept writing into further detail, but I understand that there has to be a limit. I could have had Vincent be absolutely fascinated with his new tail! I know if I grew a tail, I'd be beyond interested in the dang thing! Honestly, I'd say Cyrus showing his scars is one of the defining moments for his character. He is, to date, my favorite character to write for, and I don't think that's going to change any time soon... -
Chapter 25: Celestial Circumstances
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 25: Celestial Circumstances
Gods are busy beings. Maybe they also watch over other planes of existence and they're having catastrophes. If a God takes over Noah, I'm not going to be the one to question what he knows and not knows. Just gonna nod my head and do what I'm told. -
Thanks, Patch! Glad you liked this one!
