Chapter 12: Confusing Contest
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 12: Confusing Contest
I love derailed comment sections! "Wait, what were we talking about?" Cyrus and his plots are soooo devious! They almost make me giggle just like him. I wonder how the team will respond when Vincent reports back. -

I look forward to your comments every time I post a chapter, Patch. I'll make sure to write a wee bit faster to get you lost again soon. -
Chapter 12: Confusing Contest
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 12: Confusing Contest
This whole game has me on the tips of my writing toes. I thought I wanted perfection with certain chapters, but this is a whole new ballgame. I certainly hope Lewis minds his own business... I like this comment. I'll go through it, section by section. I think it was smart for Barahona to suggest Vincent spy immediately. I'm using the Winter Park Resort in Colorado as the fictional inspiration, and there's 3,200 acres of terrain. It's a big if, but if Cyrus decided to sent a shifter running to go hide a ribbon somewhere... Vincent might've had a long night. I actually didn't think of Cyrus wanting to show off Kaplan! Huh... Yeah that works too. I simply inserted Kaplan because of the opposing teams drama. Let's hope the sprayers are wearing hazmat suits. Blegh! Fear of shadow mages? A quote from the chapter (can't use the quote button on mobile, so deal with it...) Out of bounds? Another quote! I might have to reword this part. The assembly hall is in bounds. I'll fix this afterwhile. Writing rules for a 3,000 acre game of capture the flag with 200 shapeshifters is difficult. I'm interested in Cyrus' choice in flag defense. Does he think having Mason and Caleb there will cause Vincent to throw weak punches? Hmm... Wonderful comment! Loved it, loved it, loved it! A bit devious? This whole game reeks of it, and I don't think it's the skunk outline. Your comment put the biggest smile on my face. I always enjoyed moments where adults can just let loose. Easter egg hunts with flight bottles of alcohol inside, the orphanage fundraiser episode of M*A*S*H* where everyone falls in the tug of war mud puddle, and just goofy silly shenanigans. Oh, don't get me started on nighttime hide and seek! I'm the undisputed champion from my old Boy Scout troop. I'd disappear in the woods for an hour, watching the poor suckers below me as I hid in a tree. Thanks so much for commenting, everyone! I always appreciate the discussions. It really helps if I messed up somewhere -
Chapter 12: Confusing Contest
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 12: Confusing Contest
It's so much fun to think of all the ways this game could go. Mates -v- Mates, a big brawl, or a battle of the minds. Lewis is a complete dolt. I'm sure someone will tell him he's a dummy for picking a fight with Vin. Kaplan being on the hunting team is so hilarious to me. There's plenty of possibilities that could happen. Would Vincent go head first and try to take everyone on, or would be be sensible and retreat to his team? Would Drego and Kaplan concoct a crazy scheme, or something more viable? Can Shore actually take on Ashford? I doubt Kaplan could go toe to toe with Cyrus, but would the panda allow anyone to touch his pup?- 25 comments

Vincent understood the situation. He struggled to contain his emotions as he recognized the man was a leopard. That’s Tasha’s father! I didn’t know he was an alpha. He call Caleb trash! Challenge! Hold it, bud. We don’t want to cause a mess. The man advanced. “Looks like you weaseled your way into an enforcer position. At least you accomplished something.” Smugness wafted across like a miasma, and Vincent wanted to fling the body across the resort and into the snowy mountain

Don't you--shush!!!!! Nopenopenope. Cia, I you get Garjah injured, I'm gonna have a tantrum. Let's hope the Four Arms don't have teleporters. Give Garjah plenty of time to give his speech. A thought has lingered in my brain. The last part of a Four Arms name is dictated by their job. If the Kardoval strip Garjah of his job, or if the Galactic offers him a different one... would Garjah have to change his name? How about Essell? If Essell is a scientist, would that make him Essok (going off Timok)? I hope not, because it'll sound like the main character needs a coat made of shoes...

Chapter 6: Intractable Instincts

I know, I know. Still, I can't help but think about the dark rabbit hole I went down to write this plot... And it's only going to get worse. -

I didn't think of that kind of bit! Mom always had a horse or two when I was growing up. You never know what someone's into... -

April CSR Discussion Day: Corporate Galactic by astone2292

Don't worry, I've learned my lesson. No more switching character-POV every other line, and the Fun Dip stick is not meant to form lines on the cafeteria table. -

Chapter 5: Comprehending Crime
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 5: Comprehending Crime
Hmm. So far, we can assume only Dirk and Ingle know about the FBI telepath, but now so does the murderer. From the last chapter of Rising in the Shadows, Stefan revealed the accomplice was a telepath themselves. I doubt nothing is a secret to them. Minds tend to be blabbermouths. -

Chapter 3: Beta's Betrayal

Ty is, most likely, the most experienced alpha in the North American continent. I only hope he's using every ounce of experience with his case with Stuerm. Thanks for commenting, SR! -
I'm pleased to hear there's anticipation. Now if I can only find more time to write! Ass is in Drive! First things first: Finish DitS. I'm beyond eager to start the Cernunnos sequel. The title is still in the works, but we'll see Saedric as the main character this go-round.

Oh don't you worry, I'll be thinking about a potential plot all day while I'm at work. Trying to work one out now in my head, but it's leaning more towards a Paranormal/Sci-fi drama with no little action/fighting. Nevertheless, it's being added to my growing "to-write" list. Two stories are way ahead in line: more Corporate Galactic and a Cernunnos sequel. Those I have the plots ready to go!

Ah, another thought that's rolled around in my noggin: What would life be like if all the speculative supernatural beings were actually real, were a part of our daily lives, and we knew and accepted it. Your vampire neighbor mows the lawn at midnight, the butcher at the store is a werewolf (you like him because the steaks are the finest cuts), and the local kid garage band consists of a satyr, an elf, and a siren. Maybe a potential story...

Chapter 11: Forgotten Father

This is awesome. Simply awesome. Thank you so much, Philippe! Maybe one day the cast can sit down and breathe for once... But not anytime soon. You'll never know how hard I laughed at this. -
Chapter 11: Forgotten Father
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 11: Forgotten Father
Thanks for commenting, mikedup. I wouldn't say Vin's brushing the alphas off, just being friendly while trying to bulldoze his way to the bar. There's certainly some positioning issues. Caleb gets Mason's attention, then whispers in the alpha's ears. Mason gets PO'd, faces the dingus of the room, then Caleb stands in front. Caleb does have a mate. Wink wink. Are we looking at Tasha's father? 🤐 This author won't get caught with his fly open... -
Chapter 11: Forgotten Father
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 11: Forgotten Father
That was my bad. I didn't take positioning into factor with the mystery meathead's introduction. How did Caleb trigger this? Looks like we need to go back to RitS Chapter 15. And before the questions come flying... 🤐 I wanted to attempt a new spin on vampires. Just a slight appearance alteration. Ha! Or pants the guy. Biting? Did write an alternate ending to the chapter, or am I a wee bit sleep-deprived? Regardless, I feel your emotion, Patch. Always appreciate your comments. Teehee! Don't think I forgot your infatuation with Caleb, centex. As to answer the "who is this creature" question, both the title and the final line of this chapter might clue us in. Hey now, vampires can be friendly. Unless they're sucking (Ha!) their own people dry in certain dysfunctional covens. The game will start next chapter, and a fun little spoiler... -
Chapter 11: Forgotten Father
astone2292 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 11: Forgotten Father
Made a teensy alteration to the ending there. Don't need everyone thinking Mason has bitten someone's daughter. To be clear, the new dunderhead is focusing on Caleb. I'm interested to see where the author takes this Heather character, and how the MPC council will handle it...- 31 comments

I couldn't help but channel Cyn again. Both him and Vincent's wolf share a disdain for flying. Also, I had no intention of creating Heather or the concept of vampires in this series, but dang I'm glad I did! Heather's a hoot! Hmmm, I don't think this new cuck is referring to Mason... Afterall, it was Caleb who alerted Mason. Me thinks this might be Caleb's problem.- 31 comments

Bud! … Bud, c’mon! It wasn’t bad. No again. Rolling his eyes, Vincent was ready to give up. For crying out loud, it’s a standard form of transportation. It’s not different from when we jumped off the farm silo. No. Is different. Then, I see ground. That… No see ground. What if metal thing blow up? Now you’re being ridiculous. Planes just don’t explode in mid-air. Nah-uh! I-I’m sorry… Did you just nah-uh me? I see on TV. They go boom! Yeah, and t
