Are you perhaps confusing Eric Van Sant withy Edward Graham? Van Sant was killed in chapter 14, shortly after he met with Dani. I think that's the current running hypothesis. That I can promise you! It's about to be one hell of a birthday for poor Dani. Get ready. -

Welcome back! You're right, he hasn't given much indication for wanting to rule beyond that. I agree. Again, absolutely agree haha. Both options are...questionable Ahh that's the issue with feelings though, isn't it, they tend to be complicated. I suspect you have some pretty good guesses already...😁. Feel free to share. -

27. THE TWO SCIENTISTS A vampire war loomed on the horizon. Of that I was sure now. How long it would last and how bloody it would get would depend on many factors – one of them being me. The other two would be Demetrius and Luciana. How far were they willing to go to help Vincent Carandini ascend his grandfather’s cursed throne? And which side would Maurizia and Antione land on? I couldn’t imagine the Specials being separated. There was a bond between us, and I was determined

No, don't worry the story will continue! I just started a new job this month and have been strapped for time, so it's taking me a little longer to edit my chapters. Glad you're enjoying it though. -

I agree, especially because Dani, like Vinicius, can be too trusting. -

26. A LOVERS' QUARREL Nurse Mildred held the thermometer in her long spider-like fingers, smiling at it in bizarre satisfaction. I tapped my foot against the hospital bed restlessly, staring at her with growing agitation and loathing. “Can I go now?” I asked in a tone of voice I almost didn’t recognize. “No bodily changes then, correct dear?” She asked a second time, ignoring my question. “What changes are you hoping to see?” I hissed at her. “Does my gift put me at ri

I'm confused about the point of this post. You're asking others how they react when they stumble upon exceptionally poor written stories on GA, what they do about it, and whether GA does any sort of quality control. Are you suggesting that there should be stricter quality control and that some writers should not be allowed to post? If you're not suggesting that, then it seems the solution is pretty simple. What do you do in real life when you stumble upon a person you do not enjoy spending time with? You ignore them.

A diplomatic and kind response to a somewhat mean-spirited question. I wonder what the original poster suggests should be done about the authors he deems not up to his standard 🤔

Libera Me (from the opening of the movie “Interview With The Vampire”) by Elliot Goldenthal featuring vocals by The American Boychoir. Classical/gothic vibes.

Chapter 25: Ciprian’s Awakening
C. Henderson commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 25: Ciprian’s Awakening
Very good points! I think you have hit on one of the most important questions within the story, which is, at what point does someone become irredeemable? That is one of the questions Dani is going to struggle with the most going forward. Indeed, but perhaps Vinicius was wary of who he could trust when it came to raising Dani. After all, even being around such a powerful child and knowing you have influence over them, and thus could use their power to your advantage, can be a source of corruption for some. As far as we know, the only people he was comfortable letting around Dani were other students around his age at the private academy as well as, briefly, some adults like Eric Van Sant. You're right, we can definitely agree that it was far from a normal upbringing. I think the question now is, did Dani's sheltered upbringing do more harm or good in the long run? -
Chapter 25: Ciprian’s Awakening
C. Henderson commented on C. Henderson's story chapter in Chapter 25: Ciprian’s Awakening
Yes, it seems that Vinicius wasn't concerned with Dani learning how to use his power, he was concerned with how Dani was going to apply that power in the future. What set of ethics would he follow to make his decisions? He was concerned with his character and making sure he didn't accidentally create a future dictator. Aside from his morals and wanting to do the right thing by humanity, I also don't see him walking away from Vincent and Demetrius at this point... He better dream up some solutions quick! 😂
