I know, but poor Sedwick!

It's been a while since the team has thought of poor Raimey and the short short prince. The prince is doing without, and so Raimey and Morty and Miles are doing without. It's all very well for Jamie and Snave to be founding entire new schools of magickal knowledge, but we must think of poor Sedwick, who seems many chapters away from a climactic resolution to his problem.

" well, wonder indeed, and excellent that the plumbing is also operational and presumably self-repairing. But that the rockets are now (probably) purposeless is not yet quite in Jamie's grasp. So, did the shop in town get locked into time-stasis? Are the unwatered plants and the untended willowisps getting out of hand? The exchanges of knowledge with Irik do seem to have reached the status of quite a fine payment to it (him?).

A short story from the first Thieves' World book was about a mage whose power came from a secret nobody knew. A bit obscure by now, but it let me guess without it being a spoiler if I was right.

And excellent that Snave doesn't detect anything bad about Flitch or the dark lens. And the boys certainly have a card to play if they have to answer later about neglecting the shop and their instruction to not get up to too much trouble.

I'm kinda guessing it's like the Secret of the Blue Star, but I guess we'll see.

Very nice and quite hopeful that this moth, at least, will have some further adventures. Poignant and funny with Dad I know you're not writing this as a comedy, and it's been plotted out for a years, but Jason finding out sounds like it would be very fun.

Yes indeed. And I agree that it's good parenting for Diego to be making sure Bryan knew the history. But the exchange left me curious in how Diego handled it, maybe he'll say more later.

Bryan might not be sure how to express himself about Kenny, but he sure knows what he thinks about Calvin. Calvin may well have lawyered up (with what money, we might ask, but maybe a crazy church is helping him or something). Diego knows who Bryan is, but I feel his soul would love to see this exchange, even though he'll also feel the need to parent it back down to sanity. I'm not sure that history lesson was exactly what Bryan was looking for with "how did you handle it?,"

Well, @Dan South was right about Wren's attitude about Lyme. Hope Wren gets some stage time soon, he's got a lot of experience that'll likely help. but looking forward to him angrily dealing with not being a monster anymore. Maybe Wyn can get him interested in gardening?

I'm sure Wren needs some time with Eon, but maybe somebody should tell Loren? I feel he'd like to know. And Wyn would definitely like to know Uncle Wren is back!

I think Wren might understand Lyme's interest. And Wren seems to be something for Eon that no one else can offer. I'd been wondering if EonWren was partly powered by Eon liking it wild, but he's so huge and powerful that that's not necessarily safe for most people, but Wren is up to him and more.

On another note, kudos to you @Demiurge for your accounts of disability - Wyn spending years deaf and Lyrah spending years blind, and despite healing and adaptive devices it still matters for them. And Wren's . . . um, . . . "diversity in metabolic status" I guess I'll call it.

Dlethian law might not recognize it, but by ordinary standards Wyn is Talon's foster-son. Marital status isn't really at play there. Wyn has been introduced at the Dlethian court, but I presume Sumerion was rude about it? Talon and Suman share a grandfather, so they're cousins. So Wyn is Suman's first-cousin-once-removed (ignoring the foster-status thing). He'd be second cousins with Suman's kids, marriage isn't relevant for that (it could be if Kalian had kids from a previous relationship). He'd be first cousins with Lyrah's kids. Sumerion's aggressive over-pruning of his family tree puts Wyn plausibly 4th in line for the Dlethian throne. No sign Kalian has thought that through, but if he does it might keep Sumerion from being chopped into 143 medium-rare chunks.
