It wasn't suppose to happen until he reached puberty, and since he was only going into fifth grade, his father didn't think he was ready yet and didn't explain it to him. It seemed the situation caused it to happen, whether he'd reached puberty or not.
-
It was all explained to Devin after he'd transitioned into a bear that first time to save Mickey. After Mickey went home after his two weeks were up, Devin's family moved away shortly thereafter. As far as their relationship with Rory and Jaxon, the boys might surprise you.

Maybe it was just my family or in the area I grew up, but everyone seemed to love keeping secrets so they could surprise us. That could be because we didn't have a lot of material things in our lives so surprises were a big deal.

Chapter 1 - The Giving Trees
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 1 - The Giving Trees
Thank you, Anton, and my editor said this story moved him to tears as well. I was even tearing up a bit when writing that last section. Yes, for many this world is not a place of joy. There is just too much pain and suffering in the world, whether it's caused by natural disease, poverty, physical disasters, wars, or terrorism. Sometimes it's the little that to bring some joy to others that makes a huge difference. Yes, billions of dollars could fix a lot of things, rather than funding the luxurious lifestyles, financial accounts, or spending sprees of the world's top .1 of 1%. Thank you for the feedback.- 26 comments

Yes, not every day calls for them to shift into something else, and they wouldn't want to do it and scare off Rory and Jaxon or divulge Mac's secret to his parents. The secrecy is just something his father likes to do. It is a common trait of older generations.

Yes, there's a lot of things happening in this chapter, and it was good that the boys got along well. And yes, they will be going treasure hunting sometime in the futre, but since this summer was already booked up with Mac's training and the vacation plans with his parents, they'll do it another time.

Chapter 40 – Making New Friends The next morning, my dad made a quick trip to pick up a couple of bags of ice and added it on top of the drinks in the cooler. He then placed the meat and dishes my mom had prepared for the cookout on top of the ice and we were ready to go. Devin and I then placed our swimsuits and towels on top of the cooler and carried it out to our SUV. As soon as my mom and dad were ready, we headed over to his co-worker’s house to spend the day. When we

With your username, I didn't expect you to say you were in the Twin Cities area. I was thinking more like Maryland or near Chesapeake Bay. Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad your church is doing those things.- 26 comments

Yes, the are definitely two groups that need help and Christmas is the perfect time to do this, although they shouldn't be forgotten during the rest of the year.- 26 comments

Thanks, Danilo. I thought it might be good to get people in the Christmas Spirit and let them know about this fantastic program. Maybe to motivate them to start this, if their community doesn't already have it.- 26 comments

Yes, I participated in this where I used to live, but I haven't seen it in some other areas, so I thought this might spread the idea. I also wanted to let people know that not all kids and families are as well off as they may be.- 26 comments

Even though it’s been quite a few years since it happened, there’s one Christmas that still haunts my memories. It was back in 2008, during the Great Recession, and I remember it because that was the year my brother and I didn’t get any presents. We knew things were getting bad when our mother was laid off from her job and there was only our dad’s income from his job that could be used to cover all of the expenses. He wasn’t making as much as he used to either, because the company he wo

Thinking back upon a Christmas when he didn't receive any presents, a man is determined to make sure that no other child has to go through something similar.

This is a very old term in English, first showing up before 1000 AD. When it was first used, however, it was spelled midhrif, where hrif meant belly.
-
I've most commonly heard the term midriff used with women's fashion.

Put the numbers in a hat and pick one. That will take the angst out of the process.

How about - liven: to make or become more lively or INTERESTING.

Oh, and as far as I'm concerned, there are some foods that are horrendous as well. As far as places that serve the most horrendous food, in most cases, hospital food would be at the bottom of the list. When it comes to specific food, many people would include SPAM and Vienna Sausages on that list as well. -

Horrendous doesn't just apply to movies. Being a guy who's a big college football and basketball fan, there are horrendous teams in each league as well. Every year they're at the bottom of the standings. -
Pleurisy comes from the Greek, pleura, to the Latin, pleuritis, to Old French, pleurisie, to Late Middle English, pleurisy.
-
Pleurisy may also be called pleuritis and can be treated in different ways. First, treat the underlying cause, such as tuberculosis. You can also use anti-inflammatory medications, along with addition medication to deal with the pain. You can also use antibiotics if the problem is caused by a bacterial infection, or you may need the physician to drain the excess fluid, in the case of pleural effusion. If your pleurisy is caused by a viral infection, it will generally get better in 2-3 days on its own, without treatment from your doctor. If your pleurisy is caused by a bacterial infection, you may need your doctor to prescribe antibiotics, but if there are other underlying conditions, you should see your doctor.

Breathable - does that mean we can all breathe it in or does it have lungs? 🤡
