    Thank you, drsawzall, for reading this story and the in-depth feedback to what is portrayed. Yes, there is more than enough blame to go around and unfortunately I've seen examples of each of these failings while going through life. As you, I'm surprised that I made it out of my teens and 20s due to risks I took and stunts I pulled, and although coming close to a disastrous ending on a few occasions, I made it through with minimal harm. I hope maybe this story will cause others who read it to stand back and evaluate their actions before it's too late.

    Thanks for the feedback, Danilo. I thought the idea of his dead friend coming back to haunt him and threatening to take over his body was spooky, but I guess to each their own. However, I do appreciate you reading it and letting me know what you thought.

    Yes, the teens and early twenties are a tough period for most, and looking back at my life, I'm surprised I got through it unscathed. I took many more risks than I should have, and suffered a couple of near misses, so to speak, but not everyone is as fortunate as I was. Unfortunately, Caleb wasn't that lucky and it came back to haunt Cooper as well. Thanks for the feedback.

    It was graduation day and I’d just earned my get out of jail card from high school. After I attended the graduation ceremony with the rest of my class, my parents threw me a graduation party. I stayed at the party for quite a while as I mingled with relatives and friends, and I received quite a few graduation presents as well. Eventually, I grew tired of the party and decided to attend some of the other graduation parties, hoping something more exciting might be going on there than was taking

    Cooper Trottier and Caleb Ballinger are best friends and they just graduated from high school. Following the ceremony they attend several parties, ending up at the home of Ryder Squires. Maybe it was one party they should have skipped.

    Yes, it's the right wing politician that claim they're protecting personal freedoms when they are the ones taking them away. Book bans that limit what you can read, abortion bans that limit a woman's control over her own body, religious freedom laws the trample the rights of the LGBTQ community, and voting rights bills and gerrymandering that attempt to take away the right to vote of those who don't agree with them. I could go on. We have to wake up and take action by voting for candidates who will actually protect the rights of all of us, not just a specific few. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees this. Thank you for the feedback.

    I'm glad this story touched a chord with you and you're correct. Apathy is what allows things like this to happen and everyone must cast their vote if they want things to change. If not, you end up with laws you don't want and don't support. Thank you for the feedback.

    Thanks for the feedback, DaddyD. Yes, Cade did get a lot more than he bargained for, but he kept a cool head, as far as was possible. It was only fair that Bart doubled his pay, although that was far from being enough, but he did get more house sitting jobs out of it as well.

    I enjoyed how you dealt with aging, a mate possibly having dementia, and then the loss of a loved one. And then to my surprise, you allowed for the attraction of opposites, both in species and age, and allowed Seira to find love again. Well done!

    We finally got to learn how Vasil/King and Lennox made out from chapter 1. This was a beautiful and tender story about how Stephen overcomes dealing with PTSD and finds love at the same time. A truly enjoyable tale.
