Chapter 26 – TJ Meets Grandpa Josh
Bill W commented on Bill W's story chapter in Chapter 26 – TJ Meets Grandpa Josh
Yes, babies can tell a lot by the sound of your voice and the expression on your face, and Josh has had a lot of practice being around kids. -

We didn’t get a chance to check out Dad’s new car until we came home from the hospital for dinner on Monday, because we were busy until after dark yesterday and Jake drove it to work this morning. They’d purchased a blue 2019 Toyota Avalon to replace their 2016 silver Toyota Avalon, so it wasn’t a huge change. “I like the color, but this car isn’t that different from your old one,” observed Dion, “although it does have a few newer gadgets on it.” “Yes, we realize that, but the other ca- 12 comments

Yes, that was quite a moment, since it was the first time Jesse had spoken to any of them. -

Yes, Jesse works for Danny, but he lives with friends and has his own life. We will see more of him in future chapters. -

Ah, ok. I may be able to address that later in the story. -

I'm not sure what you're hoping for, but seeing the don't live close to one another I doubt anything would come of it. -

Wesley, I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. We got to learn more about what has been happening to some of the characters we haven't seen in a long time. Duck was the one who saved Vinnie when he ran away after catching Kevin with another boy on Valentine's Day, but we also attended his wedding a few years later. As far as Graham and his student, the boy is roughly the same age as Cody was when he died, which means Graham is 16 years older, so I doubt a romantic involvement - maybe close friends or Graham might become like a big brother to him. We'll just have to see if he falls in love with someone else in the years to come. -

I agree. Even though Kevin had some tough times in the romance department, with his breakup with Dustin and then losing Brent, he finally found Vinnie. Graham, on the other hand, never got over losing Cody, and possibly he never will. At least he has a way of keeping in touch with him and that is helping to a certain extent, but Cody isn't aging and Graham is, so I wonder how much of an effect that will have. -

Thanks, Stix. As I mentioned before, this was one thing the readers as for when encouraging me to write this book, so I'm doing my best to give them the information they requested. I'm glad you seem to be enjoying it. Have a safe and happy weekend. -
Chapter 25 – We’re Having a Party

Thanks for the feedback, Danilo. I tried to pack a lot of the memories and backstories into this chapter. Yes, Mark and Amy broke up, but he seems to have met someone new, so we'll see where that goes. Yes, Robert finally got married and Uncle Steve still isn't ready to retire. He and Josh are about the same age, but you remember Josh retired early, but Steve isn't ready to do the same. Maybe in the back of his mind he's hoping to preside over Kevin and Vinnie adopting a baby or he just likes his job and being busy, but either way he's still working. The others are aware of Graham's gift, but maybe not all of them are aware of how involved he might be with the spirit world. They know he sees the foreshadowing of events, and others know he can see and communicate with some spirits, but possibly not that he still communicates with Cody when he is troubled. If you remember, Graham wasn't exactly eager to share this information when he first realized he had this gift. Yes, Jordan, Nicky, and Lucas are all getting older and they will probably be settling down soon, but they seem to be enjoying having the large family. I also come from a large family, although maybe not quite as large as yours, but the family gathering and reunions are something I still remember fondly, since many of them have passed on now. -
Chapter 25 – We’re Having a Party
Bill W posted new chapter in The Castaway Hotel: Next Generation Book 4
The following week started out basically the same as the week before, except one of the younger boys was helping Ryan and Dad with each meal whenever there was something they could do. Dion and I were visiting TJ twice a day, and then we would spend each evening helping to plan for Dad’s 69th birthday party. Even though we could tell that he suspected something was up, we tried to keep our activities as low-key as possible, and then we got some unexpected help from another party. Sorry about that, Wesley, but we all have our crosses to bear.

Thanks for your wonderful comments about this series. Yes, TJ will be coming home soon and the ladder they're using for the treehouse was designed for the second floor of a home - from the window frame down to the ground, and there has to be enough for the part of the basement that might be extending above ground-level. Take care and stay safe, because I'm doing my best to stay safe.

Yes, we're moving right along and school is just around the corner.
-
I'm afraid the boys won't be wearing any Ewok costumes and the adults won't be involved, but they will have a good time. I hope you enjoy reading about it.
-
Yes, when TJ comes home he'll be surrounded with lots of love and definitely won't be lonely.
-
Yes, there's a lot going on, Butcher. TJ will be coming home soon, Danny is now officially listed as his pediatrician, and the boys are picking up some of the chores around the house. Here's hoping the birthday parties are as good as the boys hope.

Dion and I spent Saturday morning with TJ, and we both held him again. We really enjoy doing this and feel TJ is enjoying it as well. The nurses also seem to agree and say he reacts differently to our voices and touches than to theirs. We left him at lunchtime so we could go home and eat with the others, and Brandon, Noah, and Holly arrived home from the health center shortly after we got there. Just as we were getting ready to eat, Danny pulled into the driveway. “We weren’t expecting

Thanks, flesco. That was a nice little stroll down memory lane. Richard, or Little Ricky, was adopted by the Beckers and lived on their farm until they both passed away, and then he came to live with the Curries. The thing was, he didn't want to give up the farm and using it for others in the same circumstances that he was in when he came to live with the Beckers was his way of keeping their memory alive. It's nice to see that's still working out and the farm parents have got a good handle on the situation. And Dion and Trey will be spending a lot more time holding TJ from now on as well, and the boys are having a great time in the tree house. Let's hope the good times continue.
-
Yes, it was, and now you know it's still doing well.
-
One of the comments I received when I asked if I should write a new book was that the readers would like to hear from some of the older characters and find out about how the farm is doing, so I honored their requests.
-
That's funny. I wonder if those kids really thought the cows were purple.
-
It won't be much longer.

Thanks, Danilio, I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. It came about from a reader's suggestion that he'd like to know more about what was happening at the farms. It had been a while since we'd been there, so I felt we should check up and see how they're doing. Thanks again.
