Doomsday scenarios are a fixture of the right to enforce some drastic policies that favor the rich. Check out from other sources. There are indeed issues, and the necessity to reform the system, so that those who take risks lose when they screw up, and not just win when they're successful, but there are still some strong bases for the US. Of course, spending billions on wars that won't be won is a pretty poor investment, but there are still tons of wealth to be used for the good of everybody. Same over here in Europe. As for your point 4, sorry, but the control of states over central banks is a thing of the past. This would take politicians with guts, lots of support and understanding from the population to reverse the course it has taken (and which is indeed detrimental to many of us).

But is a disfigured one-arm guy a worthy villain for the next adventure? He is also out of money. And so much for strangling people with his garroting wire... I hope CJ gets a good sidekick/ henchman to our villain so he may pull out plots that endanger Instinct and give us thrills...

Now, I didn't know about fishermen. Though my theory about the guys who go hunting in the swamps is that they're gay, or at least dissatisfied with their family life. But I wouldn't dare come close to one of their huts and yell "Hunters are just a bunch of closeted gays!" because they've guns and they drink. Hence provocation could be a bit dangerous. The Greek stuff, maybe, though it's another macho country... Surprisingly enough, in my family the percentage is limited. I've got one cousin who lives with another woman, out of 40 cousins overall. There might be one or two closet cases, but I actually doubt it.

We weren't given any information about the time of arrival of the medics chopper, or not that I remember. Actually, in the movie Three Kings, there's a shot explaining that what's dangerous is having the guts pierced and then the blood poisoned by the bacteria in the digestive system, and that's what causes death. As for massive blood loss, since we have around five liters of blood, if too much is lost then you die. The things you learn in first aid courses is to limit the blood loss as much as possible in case of an injury. I'd say you tweaked a delicate, dainty description of a poor guy going into a hospital to visit his boyfriend --recklessly endangered and thrown into a coma by a wicked author-- into a super-misleading piece. I'm still not convinced. I'll throw my sleuths on Jerry's trail at least; I'm sure there's a clue under the shape of a comma somewhere indicating that no, after all, he survived a bomb that went off 1 and a 1/2 feet from his face, and the ensuing fire. Indeed. Right. As if. My diagnosis prior to the epilogue. A goat who plays with machine guns but sheds a tear over his umpteenth reread of Music is the Soul of Love. (Notice how the first name Barbra is subtly altered to make a reference to one of CJ's great influences) Well, at least this time you don't commiserate over the fate of a low-life scum to the point of letting him walk away uninjured.

I really don't see how much Helen's death adds to the tension, at least the fact that she's still considered as dead in the previous chapter, with some clever hints that it could actually be an hospital, but with massive ones that it's a funeral home or a church. To sum up: Helen jumping in front of Eric/ sacrificing herself: OK Helen badly wounded, biker seeing her die: OK Helen's fate unsure as they chase Dimitri: OK Misleading paragraph in chapter 47: fatwa. (You might always try to blame Shadowgod, but I don't see how you can incriminate the poor SoCal hunk this time...) Otherwise, this is a cute ending. And this has been a great story. So what's next? Will Instinct manage to save the world from the threat of ruthless speculators starving the masses by their treacherous deeds on the world's commodity future markets?

No way, this has been quite a mysterious and to the point thread, worthy of CJ's devious ploys to lure readers into addiction. It reminded me of a workshop in Fiction Peddling 201 we had at Capra U. Please get the question mark back in.

Nice job again. Lots of nice stories/ testimonies/ interviews to be found about the Beatles all over the place.

Aerosmith is a proper band for a story. Their biography, Walk this Way, is 500 pages of pure delight. It's made of interviews, and follows the rise/ fall/ redemption outline. Great read for a great band.
