  1. My hometown has Jules Verne all over the place: the university, the clinics, streets, avenues, his house turned into a museum... At some point I should (re)read it. Currently reading David Sedaris' When you are engulfed in flames. Birthday present from my sister, a hard-core Sedaris fan. We listened to a CD on Christmas Day two years ago. David rocks.
  2. Happy Bday, Ian. I hope everything's fine on your end
  3. FGTH= Frankie Goes to Hollywood
  4. You still haven't noticed the tiger in the FGTH video...
  5. Indeed... The chords are A, C, D, F, for you music inclined people. And the voice in this video is quite appropriate (but for the 'boy' overdub stuff...) But, but... You didn't notice the tiger in the FGTH video?
  6. I must agree with JFalkon on this one, a story involving male characters is written by a male, one about female/not sure characters turns out to be female, so, no big worry. Unless your story was about Yukon lumberjacks trying to build a dam and make themselves a hut for the winter...
  7. It seems the bear threat happens to be quite serious. Actually, my friends who crossed the US on kike did have some encounters with a grizzly bear, but they did not bleat. Please, CJ; do have a nice trip, maybe, but make sure you get all the chapters for CL(IFF) done before you leave, and DO MAKE SURE you wire the money transfer to the bank before you leave. Half of the mansion's roof is in your hands man, uh, goat...
  8. Jill Sobule is, like, so yesterday... Seriously, great song (thr Jill Sobule one), I think I saw it because of GA a few months back. This site is ripe with people willing to lead the poor innocent me astray. As for Kate Perry, she's got a hit, and that's a hit, plain and simple. A catchy chorus, which actually starts the song, basic and efficient rhythm and chords, great lyrics, mixing lust and guilt, how can you actually get it wrong for a judeo-christian audience raised on R n' R?
  9. Not sure. Maybe it wouldn't have been this explicit. Though she's kind of apoligizing for enjoying it. For the non-overwhelmed by the song playing on airwaves: This is definitely lesbo exploit! Just wish there had been a video with a young Pam Grier, this would have topped it all! As for the censorship, well, one of the mainstreams I had access to when I was barely in my teens(on TV, mind you!): . This beats kissing a girl, hoping the boyfriend doesn't find out, doesn't it? (I hope a special someone will notice the fierce tiger...) A very apt comment on the Youtube page: I guess it's only a Youtube comment, but it's among the best. BTW, I think Katy coined out a great song.
  10. I tried it with yet another story, Imprisoned in Silk (dealing with forced feminization, yes, this is the kind of stuff I write sometimes...) So yes, JFalkon, you must be right. This story has mainly female characters. And a happy ending, but this genie doesn't yet compute this type of content. The next step would be to have a program rate the cliffhangers in a story. Maybe CJ would eventually have to get out of his denial.
  11. Yes, I picked this alias to post my first story (Mathurin, a couple chapters in eFiction) and it had to convey straight away the type of fiction I did. If you google it, you (also) find a financial company in Tucson, Az.
  12. Darn! We had goats, a frog, an echidna, and other animals that don't come up right off the bat. And now we've got a horse... BTW, the guy next to you with a hat has a very cute smile...
  13. Ok, I did it with Quite a Boarding School, which is on our site and not on eFiction. Words: 26143 (NOTE: The genie works best on texts of more than 500 words.) Female Score: 26041 Male Score: 31698 The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: male! And the Genie is quite right. I still haven't gotten around to read the long PDF explaining the gender issue in writing. And my word processor is not on steroids. And I didn't rub the genie for hours so that he'd spit out this result...
  14. This is a spiteful attack on holy matrimony... I love it!
  15. CJ got hypnotized into creating this very thread.
  16. I have the unpleasant feeling the "contact", an "unnamed man" who won't tell his name and who got deaf because of a recent explosion could be some old acquaintance... At first I wondered whether it was Yuri, but could BOTH Yuri and the Scar have survived? As for Eric, he's going through lots of efforts to set up a party he's likely to ruin by drinking too much tequila...
  17. As I had a go at the new cuil search engine, I typed in "evil cliffhangers". Here is what you can read on the result page:
  18. Say hi to the caribous for me...
  19. This all points out to the obvious: Shadowgod mind-controls CJames!!!
  20. I redid it with full stories, and they both turned out male. I didn't have the courage to tackle reading the papers explaining on what basis the program had been designed, though.
  21. Here is a tool to find out whether a text was written by a man or a woman. I did a test with CJ's For the Love (after, of course trying with mine: Goldilocks is male, and Blow Up is female, strangely enough...) So, chapter 1 of FTL is definitely male, whereas the epilogue is female. Have fun with the toy!
  22. Oh man, I even get late birthday greetings, and Frosty being picked on. Thanks a ton, people!
  23. When I read the chapter, I knew there would be one happy goat. For those of you who hadn't seen CJ driving, here is a repost of an exclusive document, that the paparazzi had a hard time getting:
  24. Thanks to you all for all your wishes and nice words. I just had a great day handling ropes and making knots, for I went sailing. Thanks a lot for your presents, Steve. I'll take the diagonal from top left to bottom right, and leave out the handcuffs; they have a tendency to hurt and are not super sexy from my NSHPOV. Hugs again, people...
  25. Well, well, well! Isn't that special? A nice little bout of gallophobia! It makes me feel all warm inside. (By the way, Azincourt remained exactly as it was when those cunning and devious Brits slaughtered most of the French knighthood. It's impressive to visit, because it makes for a very little battlefield.)
