When their hands touched when turning the tap off, Josel hissed, what had he felt?. Marta is right to question two strangers who show up, they could be spys for the shadow cross. Neither side is being honest with the other

Seriously impressed 👏 👌

Jeremy is the first name for the little prick...

Alexandria Carmichael perhaps might be willing for a price...

So, Wonderful ! Perfect for us on AEST, (just to confuse the Americans, hahaha )

I'm hopeful that this will be a 120 chapters long...

I wonder if Stef has sent the plane to Ohio to collect Jim Crampton and take him to NY. A met you parent type of gathering, while telling Jays that he doesn't get to piss on the Schulter name - and he is cut off from Mode.

If I remember correctly from the first book, Rivers time in Japan was not comfortable but we didn’t get any actual details, time to fill in the blanks! Very curious about Kenji family dynamics. A lovely counterpoint to see from Rivers side the aftermath of Maes death.

Beautifully written, but it left me frustrated, I wanted to shake him and say, "get a grip! Live your life in the present, not waiting for someone else to decide for you " Was not moved or sadden, but the prose was magnificent! Wanted more of the mother...

I still think Stef has a plan that is waiting to be sprung on young JJ hense the change of plans with the plane. A shock committee perhaps? In New York JJ could have quite a surprise

Fun fact, the Chatham Islands are so far from the 3 main islands of New Zealand..that they have their own time zone, 45 minutes ahead of the rest of NZ.

@Mark Arbour, you are just "the cats pyjamas", I think...and I am now turning my back on JJ, and hope that you send him to purgatory for his sins. Is he on the Autistic spectrum? So lacking empathy, warmth... humanity

Secret Author Stories Contest 2024 Talking Topic
Darryl62 replied to Cia's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
I do wonder if you, Dearest Gentle Author ( yes you @Mark Arbour) are one of those secret authors but trialling a different story... -

I did indeed, I blame it on the 70s porn look, but the Australian men all look better than the USA men who look like Ken Dolls. The USA gymnastics men hair doesn't move even when they are upside-down .

I'll say it again @Gary L, our author knows how to add fuel to an already 15 metre high inferno...
-
I am forever hopeful that someone will go to Ancestry.com and start to complete a family tree on this HUGE fictional family to allow us squips a visual framework. Hopefully our esteemed author @Mark Arbour has his own whiteboard.. imagine the fun then! Adding pictures to the various names, including parts of their known story in forensic detail...

The two bickering, chattering Olympics excited girls have gone home to their father, hubby has made me a big cup of tea, Sydney's weather is cold and windy and I am snuggled up with this unexpected delight! The comments are as delightful as this story. @drpaladin,we use the same insult but we say to Indians "are they returning to Islamabad soon?" When a person forgets that Indian/Asian ways of doing things don't translate into western culture well. (Shouting for attention, queue jumping and the like)

Makes the other story "Peace of Amiens" seems tame at the moment, poor Jeremy, wait until he realises that Crampton won't open doors as well as the cache as Schluter.. perhaps even losing all the fashion stuff., not that I believe Stef would do that, but our author does love throwing flames at an existing inferno

I know that in both my home country and adopted country incest automatically carries a "coercive rape" charge against the oldest of the participants if the age gap is more than 24 months. Perhaps the laws in each state of the USA are varied, some wildly divergent ( thinking abortion here).

I need to go back, but I seem to remember that Bitty was not a willing participant at first, that she had mixture of both shame and a need for love. Perhaps I am wrong here...

With your thoughts on this. I have your same thoughts about this abused character, probably the most complex of any @Mark Arbour has written about.

JJ is indeed behaving childish because he still is a child! Barely 18, still highly immature and has been allowed to find his own way with minimal supervision. Honestly, I think that a lot of comments are piling on without the real understanding of sexual assault, personality disorder and parental loss, now discovered that his life has been a lie, son of rape and incest. His emotional reactions are exactly as expected to discover his foundations of who he is are a total lie. I'm surprised he hasn't run from the house and back to N.Y.to seek out his own good doctor.
