    Chapter 2 (5/6)

I also think that Zorro is so young, caught up in events that he was not properly prepared for by his father looking to protect his son. Sadly in reality this happens. He has though, found either lifelong friends or will be so traumatised by the whole awful experience that he will withdraw from the world. We can guess that its option 1. Wonder if some of the Herbivore nano tech might include bionic eyes.. like the dragonfly drone...
  2. @Jack Poignet is indeed very very good at angst with his characters. Here, I'm looking forwards to the lovely dope ( Ray) being a Mr. Bean while attempting to get this Big Paws reality integrated with his viewpoint!

    Chapter 2 (5/6)

At long last...a bit of sunlight in very dark story. Perhaps it is the dawn over the horizon 🤔
  4. Dr. Bob?!? From the Muppet Show? My my, a man of many unexpected alliterations

    Chapter 1 (4/5)

I am surprised by your comment actually, though it flowed well, the sense of foreboding in the previous chapters, a hint that it might turn out well only for the day to turn worse. Excellent writing, and slightly hair-raising (no pun intended) about the sense of danger 😀

    Chapter 1 (4/5)

When they were in the alleyway, and spotted dog was "supposedly " looking for something, planted then I suspect

    Chapter 1 (4/5)

I'm not liking these golden retrievers at all. Smith is going to save him, worse outcome to be beholden to a madman honestly, I remember a story made into a film called " Sleeping Dogs" about a dictatorship in New Zealand( 1970s?), and planting evidence on innocent people was a given, to make up quotas issued. As a school child we went to see it to learn about how easy it was to lose democracy.

    Interlude

Sitting her between my husband and mother in law watching "Bergdoctor" on ZDF here in Australia, while they argue about medical knowledge in German. Hubby was a teaching doctor at a hospital near by. Schmalzy Haimat at its peak. Your update was most welcome

    Interlude

I admit that I read it more than once, but failed to see one of my favourite words appear..."scudding "

    Chapter 1 (2/5)

Our Fox is treading a very fine line, which I fear is only going to become almost microscopically thin. Trust the author to walk us along the path, but do be mindful that your allegories are well hidden, in case the GA overlords become concerned, no political grandstanding! Your a marvellous writer 👏 😀, and I know you have just published this chapter, but...ready for more!
  16. Oi Oh, I am going to be so troubled by this story, but I know that it will be good for me.
  17. So much resonates and the current world we inhabit is no exception to this behaviour. Scary things people.. and I agree with you in this.
  18. You are indeed a most handsome beast, looking out for us greedy lot. "Sigh". Missing Hamburg and authentic Fleischsalat, my mother in law is bringing some to lunch on Monday. Proper stuff, wondering if your shifters eat it with their home made Rye bread...
  19. Oh yes!! Agree, you must continue!! Some people dont celebrate Easter, but might still eat chocolate 🤔, wonderful, exciting, exhilarating. How often must one wait.. 4 or 6 days, cant tell with the current pacing, but I AM HOOKED.
  20. The chapter title! What's the next line...? " I wanna feel dirty..." very Rocky Horror
  21. Loving ❤ this story, wry humour, outrageous dialogue, memorable characters, must check out other stories!
  22. "Rosebud" lovely classical throwaway there, Orson Welles in Citizen Kane if I remember correctly...

    Hospital

Jeremy was always my favourite, if only because his sexual trauma reflected my own (I was13) . His head space I fully understood, and that @Mark Arbour got it so right is... well, scary. Proper medications can do wonders, living proof that the "black dog" didn't take me under. Thank you for allowing Jeremy back into the light, it takes years or both medications and therapy to improve.

    Act I - Shelter

There is a town in Sweden called Ostersund, your forest fits in perfectly with the land and sky you describe. Ora further north, (Ara municipality) in winter has no direct sunlight, just 2 or 3 hours a day reflected from the mountains. This is what I imagine and you made me feel longing for the landscape, wind ,cold that you breathe through the woollen scarf and eat reindeer that your family caught...rather than 29 degrees Celsius Sydney Australia
  25. I would add the "Meta" series to your list. I arrived via the monthly newsletter , wonderful start and I see that you have flown below my radar, and I love the beginning and the tension!
