  1. Oh yes!! Agree, you must continue!! Some people dont celebrate Easter, but might still eat chocolate πŸ€”, wonderful, exciting, exhilarating. How often must one wait.. 4 or 6 days, cant tell with the current pacing, but I AM HOOKED.
  2. The chapter title! What's the next line...? " I wanna feel dirty..." very Rocky Horror
  3. Loving ❀ this story, wry humour, outrageous dialogue, memorable characters, must check out other stories!
  4. "Rosebud" lovely classical throwaway there, Orson Welles in Citizen Kane if I remember correctly...

    Hospital

Jeremy was always my favourite, if only because his sexual trauma reflected my own (I was13) . His head space I fully understood, and that @Mark Arbour got it so right is... well, scary. Proper medications can do wonders, living proof that the "black dog" didn't take me under. Thank you for allowing Jeremy back into the light, it takes years or both medications and therapy to improve.

    Act I - Shelter

There is a town in Sweden called Ostersund, your forest fits in perfectly with the land and sky you describe. Ora further north, (Ara municipality) in winter has no direct sunlight, just 2 or 3 hours a day reflected from the mountains. This is what I imagine and you made me feel longing for the landscape, wind ,cold that you breathe through the woollen scarf and eat reindeer that your family caught...rather than 29 degrees Celsius Sydney Australia
  7. I would add the "Meta" series to your list. I arrived via the monthly newsletter , wonderful start and I see that you have flown below my radar, and I love the beginning and the tension!

    Hospital

Oh, please let it be Wades mother, or the delightful Alexandria Carmichael.
  9. Oh my... No one was left behind. What a banquet you are serving us.
  10. The red tomatoes! Added to the fruit bowl is my guess... very clever! Wether it was a real helper or false flag, they gave themselves time to adjust
  11. I am constantly reminded that many people in Africa, South America, pacific and Asia have full concept of slavery having been the ones in chains. My own ancestors were transported to Australia for attempting to be free of the slavery of serfdom in Ireland
  12. The slaves in the south of America also had a "rail road ", and in Australia they had "blackbirding" with the same attempts to escape.
  13. I am reminded of events in Europe past where certain people were designated with numbers as well. Names stolen from them. Very moving description of Adams final moments as always, to me masterful writing

    Chapter 14

I reread the ENTIRE series, loving it 😍, also, dont think the Dr. Who references were not noted, (I imagine Alex Kinston as Prof. River Song as a young Lady Sarah @Justin4Fun

    Suited

I live opposite Sydney Park in Erskineville, Newtown literally around the corner πŸ˜…. Neighbours!
  16. I suspect Ninja is going to have some explaining, along with the others when Jake learns of the nightclub scene. Well done with the meeting for Brad, message across without his usual ego on show. Jeremy chapter really, and it was a good one, lots of redeeming actions and thoughts. Excellent work πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘Œ πŸ™Œ ( is three in a week the new normal?)

    Snakes Alive!

Someone knows who the person is ... "playful poke at at one of my favourite readers," At least I suspect that the person has a phobia about snakes 🐍 🀷

    Finn Harrow

Proper Aussie accent, nothing like the rest of Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί, called a "bogan" accent. The reporters is really bunging it on

    The Election

And back to the story, what of Travis stalker? Where is the security? What happened to the professional that Jake put in place?

    The Election

For me, Will calling Jake was so perfect, after all it was about his brother and calling Brad first would have been just wrong. I do admit that I had forgotten the family connection as there is so much to remember. As you know @Mark Arbour, you're a genius πŸ‘ πŸ™Œ πŸ˜‰ πŸ‘Œ πŸ˜€
  21. Actually, it was drinking the coffee with his hands behind his back. Everything else was perfectly clear to this avid Star Trek fan.
  22. @RedMoon, there is a paragraph where the admiral is in a lift with his arms behind his back reading the wall monitors while simultaneously drinking his mug of coffee. Just doesn't scan correctly to me. Otherwise wow. Total novel as one chapter. Interesting emotions πŸ€” πŸ˜• πŸ˜… much to think about...
  23. Lovely history lesson, Bellona was just brilliant, waiting for Stef to be bought into the fold for Travis and then off to Hollywood ! Fireworks πŸŽ† πŸŽ‡ 🧨

    Chapter 3 Promise

Your skyhook reminded me of Arthur Clarke and his story of about 50 or 60 years ago, "Childhoods End", I can recommend it @RedMoon and others. Yet another beautiful fragment.
  25. A most intriguing story written by a person whose Taiwanese identity is well hidden. Lovely to have a vastly different non anglocentric viewpoint. Stories that are thrilling and you can be sure of your engagement with the characters. A sense of melancholy but balanced by humour and honesty. A rich tapestry that I recommend. While it is set in a very different universe and with non human characters, you will recognise and appreciate the love that has been created. I wish I had a tail and ears that I could use like these people do. Prepare with an open mind and take a plunge.
