  1. Happy birthday Forloyn and have many more.... :king:
  2. ::GROANS:: here cums the flood of nun jokes now.
  3. Of course, thinking about it, there were two characters in wheelchairs in that story, not just one. Jamie mailed me and said he was going to have great difficulty in writing of Nick's passing, but he handled it beautifully. In the same chapter, he wrote in a memorial to two real-life young lads, one of whom commited suicide because he couldn't handle being gay. (In the story it's the two boys strolling down the beach together along the water's edge.) Jamie himself was trying to comfort the partner left behind, and with a lot of sympathy posts and mails from supporters he is now coping. The point that came from all this is not one of "Differences", but where the characters are not 'blonde-haired, blue-eyed gods' they show more love toward each other than just casual sex aquaintances. Love is the keyword in most of these type stories of unusual characers.
  4. oh dear senility is setting in I forgot my own story, 'Just Joey'; he was definitely not the best looker, but I still had more than a passing affection for him. His real name was Andy. Lived with me for three years, before he left.
  5. Hmm... somewhere along the line, here in Britain I think we may have missed episodes I and II. Not sure what of mind you - was it anything special?
  6. Uhh! and I went and posted in Comicality's site before I read this one!!! Your last comment in there Sparhawk, reminded me imediately of Grasshopper's story, 'Just Hit Send.' Definitely nothing perfect there to start with, but boy, what a story!
  7. After Sparhawk's comment, it immediately reminded me of Grasshopper's story 'Just Hit Send'. Now there's a real example of how different from the norm you can get, but what a story!
  8. ^ evidently has very erotic dreams ::unprintable:: >wonders why he voted for Sparhawk instead of himself !
  9. This sounds like good news Ethan. Lets hope things continue to improve. I'll still be keeping both you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers though, until things are back to normal. Nice to hear some better news though.
  10. Just keep looking over your shoulder and checking out for a turbocharged disabled cart bearing down on you at about 25MPH and someone brandishing a crutch!
  11. Welcome to GA, climber, shortygtohot and Random. Have fun guys and good reading!
  12. I now have a sore head through banging it against the nearest wall having read of such stupidity. How do these people with stupid views like that ever get into positions of responsibility? It's sad, that really says it all. Kids love the HP books, but they don't honestly turn into witches and warlocks do they? No courses running at our local University. Hey I'm not loving my neighbour - she looks more like an authentic witch than anything that came out of Hollywood.
  13. I did atually mention about sex with a genuine ginger-haired lad. It was an actual personal experience, which I recounted in 'Rising Sap 2' I think. Does that count? For some peculiar reason, ginger hair is not that popular with a lot of the female of the species where I live. Personally I have no such objections to a nice ginger lad witha a large... Well I'm sure you get the idea..
  14. ^ XXXXXXX - it's unprintable what she's told me!! > blushes: I'm only sweet and innocent.
  15. It's a bit frustrating for everyone who's bothered writing that more people haven't bothered reading them or voted either. if everybody who read one story had read the rest, then all hit counts would be equal. QED. Just five votes? That's abysmal. Who's chief whip around here?
  16. It's an age thing this is. What scared me at the time I go into hysterical laughter at now that the effects look so dated. But my scariest thing wasn't a film at the time, though it was made one later. It was on TV when there were only just the two channels in the UK, and it was the BBC's "Quatermass and the Pit". I remember having nightmares as it was a serial! I think I was 10 at the time. And not so brave as I made out to my dear friend Johnny. (see 'Johnny' in my stories - I remember refering to it!)
  17. Hey do we cry "fowl" on dk for chickening out and putting up a late entry?
  18. There's dissent in the ranks! The PMs are flying between authors! We're waiting with bated breath. It's like waiting for the end of the world. Where's the poll?
  19. Ok, so what now? Back to ??? LOL
  20. And WHAT is it exactly?
  21. I got up early this morning, (05:30), to make sure I got it finished in time, then realised the clocks had gone back an hour as my computer reminded me on boot-up. So, ok it was only 04:30. At least I've finished and posted it! Well I did only start it Friday night, with a vague idea of what I was going to write! So Mr Sparhawk, you got your wish. Maybe now I'll go back to bed whilst everyone gets up to read it! (LOL - some hope!)
  22. oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo oo I just noticed that last post was No13!! Now if that hasn't put the mockers on it I don't know what will.
  23. I'm getting there, but don't expect miracles! I only started it last night.
  24. No. Unless it's on the computer I can manage to lose something I put down five minutes ago. That 'Grandpa Simpson' avatar isn't up there for nothing!!! Anyway on with this story I'm writing, if I can remember where I filed it. It's due in by lunchtime tomorrow isn't it? I only started it last night.
