  1. ....... I love your take on Christians parents! Yep, totality liberal parents with a gay son and an unwed (THEY DON'T KNOW THIS YET) daughter. Moving into an unfriendly (gay) town without work ahead. (What were they thinking?) Ah well, you got to know that people from Kentucky (whisper!!!!!) Ahem, that is to say this is a unique story in its setting, where as the parents did not think Christian would get himself into any problems were they moved to (and that is why they moved to a very liberal place, wink, wink,)
  2. ..........Hahaha! I read that sooooooo long ago, the only thing I remember of it was that it dealt with an Architect.
  3. Happy Birthday Libby!!! ...........Have a great one!!
  4. .......... But Steve! The bottles have provided a shelter at the bottom of the ocean for some hermit crabs!! And the cans will wash up on a beach providing nourishment to some poor island goat!!
  5. ............Crap! Summer cooking is barbecuing! That said I do a lot of cool salads with tuna, otherwise, you name I can cook it!
  6. ..........Interesting, another chapter before the storm, its now obvious that Bridget is the brains of her little gang and that she has been sending the mysterious e-mails. The last one to give misdirection and keep Detective Gonzales at bay, who seems to haven taken the the bait and is looking at the wrong canary. Bridget is the e-mailer sender and has purposely given wrong information in the last e-mail to mislead Gonzales. Has he also seen the name of the boat? You would think he ran it through records to find the owner of it. I see the complications of the story unraveling as Trevor finds his mom, while Bridget tries to have him killed to shift the blame of her crime onto Dirk. Gonzales is a target here also!
  7. Happy Birthday, Princess!!! ..........Have a good one!!
  8. ...........Exactly! Why would Dirk need to keep quiet about his wife's disappearance for 10 years, if Rachel was indeed murdered at sea, why is Dirk even involved? Nah, something tells me that Rachel is alive in Australia and 'something' did happen to keep Trevor and Dirk safe for ten years. Rachel had to be privy to much more information then the' sale' of the Aires to have her life in danger. More likely, she recognized Detective Alford at some point in the last charter, realized that Bridget's husbands death was either to coincidental or she witnessed it. After all, we know Arnold was killed, it was deemed an accident at he time (Sr. Detective Alford?) and it maybe be tied into to drugs. I think Lisa might be the key to unraveling this mystery, if she starts thinking about it, about what Bridget said to her and the boats occupants at the dock. Given her track history, I would not be surprised if she inadvertently discovers her father was not responsible by way of argument with him, for the 'e-mail' sent to Jim. Maybe she will remember that Bridget had that 'site' bookmarked.
  9. ............. Blue
  10. .............A couple for me; 1) People that think they can drive and talk on a cell phone at the same time! ( I can't count how many near miss's accidents I avoided by pulling back) 2) Automated political calls ('nuff said) 3) Standing in line at a bank and the person at the teller has no clue what a deposit or withdrawal means and engages in a 20 minute conversation about it!
  11. How true Mike! Prostate Cancer is a real threat to 'all' men' and should be checked out by everyone. That said, Dennis Hopper was his own worst enemy! Gaining prominence early for a couple films, he languished in drugs and alcohol for much of the remainder of his life. Pretty much destroyed his career.
  12. .........More then that!! That was just plain evil, and one hell of a school day for Christian! Plus a cliffhanger at the end! However, I'm sure his parents are just having a nice cup of coffee with Jonathan's parents! Why else would Jonathan be at his house hours before school lets out? Hmmm, either that or George Rekers was in the house!! Plain evil leaving us with a cliffy after a long delay!!!
  13. ............They are definitely up to no good, remember Bridget ordering the other guy to go back and watch the boat! My guess is that they are smuggling drugs, that might fit in with the unsolved drug murder Gonzales is also working on.
  14. ..................Errr! You mean Detective George Alford!!!
  15. ............That was definitely the best finale show they ever produced!! And yes, I believe Lee deserved to win!
  16. ............ I thought the same, although the name of the boat didn't surprise me, now that we know her 'accomplice' is more then that too! I can only guess the boat is serviced away from prying eyes, Lisa and Detective Gonzales both saw the boat.
  17. Happy Birthday Eric!!!! ........ And no, you can never wear that hat again!!
  18. .........Oh, I agree Cole has many stories that I love, always look forward to see him posting a new one! His 'On The High Plains Of Wyoming' was a great recent read.
  19. ............. Hmmm, Unraveling!!! Should have been 'Revealing' So we now know that indeed Sr. Detective 'George' Alford is the leak and most likely a lover of Bridget as one does not get a dinner with a breakfast unless one is spending the night. (Trust me on this one) The 2nd man that accompanying the Detective to the house was dismissed back to the boat by Bridget, That seems to drop the Julie theory, and lends the question on how involved Bridget is in perhaps 'nefarious activities'. I wonder what 'straits' George had problems with? If he traversed the Atlantic to reach Trevor's side, his discussion with Detective Gonzales was off in the timeline. That said, we now have the evil people in sight and we now know that Trevor is in danger, from the dialouge that suggests if Trevor is dead, all problems are solved. But will Bridget know that he is not alone? Surely Joel will refuse home passage after reading the journal of Trevor's escapade from a certain death. Lisa might be the key here in coming chapters, perhaps another interview may bring a recollection of the large men she saw at Bridget's dock or even a misshaped sighting of the man, an then again her nativity in talking to Bridget may cost her life! I think Lisa will eventually confront her dad and realize he did not send the e-mail, leading her to make her own speculations that involve Bridget, maybe even leading her back to Deceptive Gonzales! Leaving our young hero's to figure out and solve the case!
  20. ............. Err! I should have made another paragraph out! My drill instructors were never nice (end!) This was after boot camp, the incident with the marine vs. baby rattler was in RTC, he did do basic first!
  21. ............... Well, I thought I was pretty damn fit when I went into the Marines, but I came out of boot camp with an extra 10 pounds. I felt much better physically (Only bad side effect was I learned and got hooked to smoking back then). Yada, yada yeah the family and freinds thought it was great (they also thought I was nuts for joining) but my confidence was 110% after that. I think we started with 80 recruits and ended up with 40+ graduating from boot camp. What James mentioned about Subic Bay was very true, you could not not get get laid in that port. And for 'folks' like us there was the 'benny boys' I never went there for fear of getting caught, but it existed there too. ..... My drill instructors were NEVER nice!! But everyone talking about OCS reminded me of the time we were still in training, we were on maneuvers and were warned the the snakes season had started. There were lot's of baby green rattlers running around so this kid reached down to pick one up and of course got bit. Well, maybe he was smart or the service was looking for a few good men back then, because not only did he get sent to the hospital for 2 weeks and miss all the fun we were having. But got sent home for a 30 day furlough and they then sent him to OCS??
  22. ...............Right, there is no statute of limitations on murder, therefore Dirk is not guilty of murder. It is what CJ said earlier that made me realize I was going in the wrong direction, he mentioned it was not 'Florida Law'. Aha, that leaves Maritime law, since the Ares allegedly went down at sea. Section 3293 of Title 18, United States Code, provides for a ten (10) year statute of limitations for certain financial institution offenses which involve violations of, or conspiracy to violate...... I'm pretty sure insurance fraud is one of those offense's!
  23. ........... I meant for favorite stories!
  24. .............. Yeah, but you needed to leave more options open! I can't point to one over the other here. However, if there was a sequel to any one story. I think I'd like to see on 'The Other Side of Me'
