I’m completely stuck on a couple of things. Why would, how could you trust Anika? Most of her existence she has been awful to Kalian. Most. Majority! She’s been visited by karma frequently, I’ll admit. Must be a reason… Their mother is nameless as far as I can tell. I reread the first seven chapters of Awaken (fascinating to revisit) thinking she and her sh*t husband may have been introduced there. Nope. Confident that Rah can handle those broads. Loved her outfit. Talon’s ring ❤️ Aside from those objections (can’t dunk on mom properly without a name) I was so happy to sit down on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and read two offerings that I’d saved, like a favorite sweet, until I had until I had time to consume them whole. 🖤 #meepwillsavetheworld

I can’t think of a better word than tender. Sweet and innocent too. No trips to the dictionary but I’ll keep you posted from here on out. ‘Geyser’ was one off the top of my head. In context it couldn’t have meant what immediately came to mind.

I was seeing their attraction as mutual more than one-sided in recent chapters. Especially after the ‘bishop in a turtleneck’ scene. I like the softening of Bazzel. He will now, since you said it, have Vin Diesel’s voice in my head. The dream sequence peaks my curiosity about the past, Lionel’s past I suppose. Nothing troubling about it other than it’s kinda WTF-ish. It’s clearly foundational and I trust you’ll explain more about it. You still have my attention!

So so intense. I fell fully in love with Steve. I was already loving him more but this sealed it. He’s not the background character I took him for. If Facebook is responsible for Bryan letting his sperm donor in I’ll be sick. Bryan fancies himself grown. Focus on Kenny, Bryan. Thanks for the update John Henry. Love it.

@Sean J Halford if I was asked to say one word about this tale I would choose‘ ‘spectacular’. Multiple trips to the dictionary too so thanks for that. As the son of a geophysicist I love the Tony England reference. ”…first wife…” and “she was the chair and frequently the sole member…” were laugh out loud moments. Great read!

If you’ve scrolled down far enough to read my review then you should know two things by now: 1. This is a much loved sequel to Sidewinder, a novel by the same Author. 2. You’ll appreciate this more if you invest the time to read Sidewinder. You’ll love it. Quick read. It’s addictive. This stands alone though. Read on all who choose to. No chance you’ll be disappointed. All of that aside, come read an unlikely love story. Love story! Since the dawn of time Men have loved Men. No difference in the Old West. Thank goodness no difference in the Old West. I couldn’t love these guys more.

I can’t see any scaffolding just yet. Caleb’s inner monologue is likely to keep my mind off any known trope. This must have been good a decade ago because it is good today.

As a gay guy over 50 I’m in love with the idea that these almost, almost 50 year-old guys found each other again. Age is only a number, right? Love. Is. Love. Boone and Coy? Sure love them. Happy to be with them again. This isn’t really their story though. Is it? Mitch and Will? So so so happy they’ve found their way back to each other. What are the odds? Larkspur? The land of opportunity. The land of sequels? Hmm… Need to go read about a doctor. @raven1 you coming? You dragged, or maybe more cajoled, me (willingly & happily) into this book club… @Headstall I’m still ruminating. Loved this. Reckon I might have more to say. 😉 -
