I knock softly. In my other hand the veil’s cloth buzzes. It's a constant current, almost like static due to its direct connection to the other side. Its got a weight to it too, the fabric itself was soft, like silk. It never chaffed the skin, but its texture felt almost like liquid. It stung my palm, made my stomach tighten with nausea. Ouch.. the abrupt end of this had me feeling like I was physically yanked out of the story. Don’t get me wrong I love the immersive picture you have painted of the crew, and their work. The problem that is about to arrive. I don’t want to leave. I want to keep reading. The humour has me cackling in my living room, and I am invested in their retirement list.

Really enjoyed this small snap shot of Lee and Toby. Felt like I could feel their tension but also their history. Showing us how they knew each and how they ended up here... I wonder about the lab and their uni days. Would have loved to see more of that before as well. Overall very descriptive and engaging. So glad they found their safe place.

Happy Giving of the Thanks 😜 Dailylight Savings Time, BIG SIGH. Can't say I hate it but I can't say I enjoy the adjustments that come with the change. I just let my phone change to the correct time and I manually set everything else later ( some times my car is wrong for a week, or two). I participate because I have to but at my own pace.

I have one - I'm experiencing first time jitters and trying not to drop the ball. I've got about 8k words in, and I think my timing is all wrong to find a editor on time. I feel like if I put in a post now ( with it not finished) its too soon, but I am mindful that with the deadline looming I need to give someone time to do any editing work. Let alone let the post be seen to find said editor, and the act of navigating the site to publish it correctly too.

There is no equilibrium between my stomach and ice coffee when lactose intolerant -
I really wish as other commenters said it was not death they faced together but exile.

LOVED IT. I jumped right into this, ignored all the comments that said it was connected to another piece, and then held on for the ride. I even sputtered my coffee at one point well reading; It was funny, and full of unexpected twists ( very creative opportunity for poisoning) I loved the picture that was painted of this world, and these characters in such a short amount of time. I’m going back to read where I assume they started, and hope there are more to come!
