    Chapter 38

    Touche` Micah!

    Chapter 37

This chapter was a monumental shedding of emotional tension that has been building through the journey of Micah as he hit his low and began to regroup as he met up with David. I am certain that you young folk grasp things more quickly than this 'senior" guy. When I first began reading Palouse and noted that the author (rec) had also written 'Jakes Hand' and it was also posted on Gay Authors. I had first read Jake's Hand back in late 2003 when it was first posted on Nifty. It was just this past week that I re read Jakes Hand and found much that I had forgotten and indeed what a feast it was to read again 10 years later. So -- it was while reading today's Palouse chapter 37 that the bright light came on and I recognized that indeed the world is small and all things are indeed connected. The story of Micah and David as their love has grown is indeed amazing Thanks rec

    Chapter 33

This story first caught my attention by the Title. All because years ago I attended school and later worked in a northwest organization alongside friends who grew up on a large farm in the Palouse country of Southeastern Washington. So much of the story is embodied with the setting in which my friends and I grew up and matured into and were so much initially shaped by the ultra-conservative religious tradition that so shaped the Kingman family. The story has grown on me and I have certainly appreciated the daily chapter updates. It makes for a very dynamic interpretation of the story and an immersion and involvement that is difficult to have with stories that appear with chapter updates every few weeks or even months. I applaud the author's efforts and I have seen a remarkable growth in the writing style. Congratulation to a work well done - keep it up!

    Chapter 2

It is very easy (from my perspective) to see Will settling into Escorial as in a more permanent residence and it might be,, if one can look that far ahead, possible, to see him becoming a key member of the family in the 'South Bay'. It seems that there is a lesson to be learned in that Will's growing maturity coincides with the independence and self worth he has garnered as an emancipated minor - now considered an adult for most legal matters. This is a very productive chapter and it is good to see Will and JJ coming together and also some of the intra family conflicts coming to surface and being forthrightly publicly aired. Keep up the great writing Mark! regards Lenard

    Chapter 1

11 reviews and Chapter 1 was just posted 5 hours ago. Shows how "hungry" and spoiled we are and how sparse the pickings when you take a well deserved break. I do look forward to this continuing evolution of CAP under the 9.11 title. Will continues to evolve in his maturation process which he has readily discovered can be emotionally and physically painful. Please do keep him as one of the key players as the next generation leaves adolescence and begin to find themselves as young adults. Welcome back Mark

    Chapter 18

Great story telling. the background story revealed with new character entries is really helpful and appreciated. Your love for the story and its characters is obvious. Keep up the awesome work.

    Chapter 96

What a great cross generational conversation between JP and Will. In fact the whole chapter dealt with discussions with Will as the consistent point person and he handled them forthrightly, dealing with significant issues directly and then showing the maturity to draw others out and to lead into setting the stage for better future interactions and relationships. Thanks Mark for continuing to provide provocative and entertaining material for our pleasure and personal growth. Keep up the good work regards Lenard

    Chapter 91

Mark; Kudos on bringing together a fractured and disheartened family group. Not an easily accomplished given the scope of various intra and inter personal relationships involved. How fitting that it has come together at the Christmas season. It will be interesting to see how each of the various relationships play out into the next year. I am pleased to find Noah present and that he and Will are able to continue with the development of their friendship. You continue to remain at the top of my list for interesting and provocative reads. Best Regards Lenard

    Chapter 85

It is always a pleasant surprise to find a new chapter awaiting as the weekend begins and I crawl into bed. As usual Will and his developing entourage are providing provocative and alluring insights into human nature as it plays out in the uber-exclusive hills west of Silicon valley and the South Bay. I continue to make my case that Will is becoming the adult to the more less emotionally secure (older) companions. I do believe that Noah will become a close friend and a good companion who has his feet on the ground and can allow Will to view life in a different economic and social setting, outside the protected and exclusive inner family confines of his grandfathers estate. Whether it has any possibility of a more intimate relationship only time will tell. I thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue and intrigue and it is easy to see that the author, (who clearly views himself as just an outside observer and commentator) , enjoys this experience as do the rest of us. Keep up the timely and excellent story development. Regards Lenard

    Chapter 4

I grew up on the stories of Mary O'Hara (My friend Flicka, etc)and spent many nights dreaming of raising horses in Wyoming. Your stories bring back many memories. Great story line and character development with cliff hangers galore -- keep up the good work.

    Chapter 81

New Years Greetings Mark, I for one am enjoying the focus on Will and his family travails. Brad is coming forward to give Will some very thoughtful and mature advise. This fits with a very important axiom of successful interpersonal relationships - that is -- The only person that we can change is ourselves - once we recognize that fact, then we may have some influence on others. I will continue to enjoy Wills life and travails and do hope that he and Noah do become "closer". Will needs someone like Noah in his life. Thanks for your continued outstanding writings and just know that it is a well noted fact. Kindest Regards Lenard

    Chapter 79

Will is clearly becoming the most awesome character . He is fun and he is serious and the neat thing is that one never knows for certain what he is going to do next. And yes, one can not help but live vicariously through adolescence once again. I also like the way you use terms that are second nature to those of us residing in the 'Bay Area' of No. CA. To us there is not better place to be on the face of this earth. You make these chapters just as interesting and intriguing as the day that the CAP series began. Have a great holiday season!

    Chapter 75

It is great to have Will back. The move to the South Bay will be good for him, providing an opportunity to be more his own person. Will exhibits such a presence and maturity around others that it is easy to forget or overlook that is is just 14 years of age, which means that they are surprised when on occasion he does really act like a 14 y.o adolescent. He is finding a good friend in Grandma Garrett, who appears to understand him and whom he can respect and be challenged by without being threatened. Needless to say that those of us in the Will fan club do appreciate his return. Best to you!

    Chapter 74

Hi Mark - you are really on a roll. Needless to day it is much appreciated to have chapters coming forward regularly and even with an occasional extra thrown in. It is good to have Will back on the scene. He will, in his own indomitable style, bring everyone into line!! He is showing maturity with a mix of adolescent impatience. But, WTF!!, Rob and JJ need to wise up!! Thanks for the much appreciated an highly readable literary works!

    Chapter 71

Happy Thanksgiving, Mark It was an added pleasure to find Chapter 71 awaiting me this morning = from an avid fan and reader of your most valued missives . It also is good to read about the valiant efforts of those who will stand up and defend human rights and protect those who have for whatever reason become enslaved. You have as usual measured up to the standard you have established and continue to emulate. Keep up the good work and please know that we appreciate you so much as a writer and as a friend. Have a great day Len H.

    Chapter 70

The proof will be in the cognitive and social skills sans drugs Nano demonstrates for the experts. My read is that Mama will be "buried alive".

    Chapter 22

It appears that Lord Granger hos become an ambassador at large and clearly has been given authority, perhaps because of his peerage elevation, beyond the typical ship captain. Yes, the plot does indeed thicken!

    Chapter 21

and indeed -- intrigue does indeed become you , Sir Mark

    Chapter 67

Hi Mark - That really sucks losing those chapters, It seems to me that the Odyssey chapter would be a really difficult loss because of how one needs to get inside of Lord George's (nearly) 19th century British mindset -on the high seas at that. As usual I really appreciated the family interaction leading up to to Thanksgiving dinner and the drama of Darius and Ella's spat and particularly the way the inter family conflict in regards to Will and his Mom. I side with the wisdom that Jeanine is not yet capable of even relating to Will and the issues between them and it is very wrong for Robbie and JJ to pushing those buttons with her. You handled this all very well and there is certainly more turmoil to come on that issue. It is good for Darius and Will to be bringing their relationship as brothers to a tighter bond as it has the promise of neutralizing some of the rancor caused by JJ and Robbie. Keep up the good work and just know that you are so appreciated and admired for sharing your talent and what you provide to us so generously.

    Chapter 66

The best thing about finding these two new chapters is that it signals very real hope that "Mark" is back! You have no idea how your sabbaticals bring with it an awareness that things will not be the same until our favorite author gets his courage and mojo back and can tackle the high seas and the social shenanigans of the "family" now focused on the action in the SF Peninsula and South Bay. Welcome back, Mark!

    Chapter 18

The sighting of this chapter of Odyssey after a two months of a very DRY spell is a most welcome feast for those of us with parched and bored minds just awaiting such succulent nourishment as you have so amply provided by bringing us new and exciting adventures of Lord Grainger. Your return is most welcome and has assuredly brought smiles to your many faithful and long suffering shipmates!
  22. I have followed Circumnavigation since it first appeared in late Dec 2010 which means it has run for nearly two years. I have watched eagerly at first on Monday morning and then it drifted to appearing late Monday to early Tuesday am Pacific time for a new chapter each week.. I have become a real fan of Trevor and his compatriots and the perilous journey. I have marveled at your interest in sailing and command of the geography as various points of interest were visited along the way. The story has held my interest and has more than enough suspense and cliff hangers to entertain and to thrill. You have done a great job and while I have been more silent than vocal this is a literary work you can be proud of. Keep up the good work!
  23. Napaguy

    Chapter 65

Thanks for the "quick fix", I was fading fast! Now it appears the Robbie has jumped on the band wagon to terrorize Will. Given the dynamics of the "family" it appears that Will has the support to be independent but also with more mature minds to guide him should he steer off course. Enjoy your well deserved sabbatical - Your absence only intensifies the desire for further fixes!!!
  24. Napaguy

    Chapter 62

Let.s not forget the Brad and Rob's relationship so becme so frayed that they had to separate and allow some time to go by. They were "adults" so to speak!! So, here we have a very intelligent 14 year old who does have the arrogance that is more than equally matched by his dad's bull headedness. At least Will has a charming way about him that endears him to the family and others and this only further infuriates Brad. So I ask again -- who is the parent and who is the child. Hang in there Mark, you are doing just fine.
  25. Napaguy

    Chapter 61

Wow, talk about the roles being reversed, Brad is being schooled by his son, who in spite of the emotional turmoil is clearly the parent in this conflict and has the support and backing of the family members that really count. A masterful portrayal of the intense dialogue. Probably enough to absorb for the present but we will indeed be watching wakefully for the next chapter. Great writing Mark.
