Memories of such abuse will be a difficult recovery regardless of when or how they are dealt with I. The future. The coffee shop meeting gives hope for the future.

Kudos for sorting out Zach's family mess. Once everyone discovered how the pieces fit together, the puzzle was solved. The Brad and Marc relationship seems "weird". They seem to be "dancing" around one another instead of with one another. Will it survive? Mark, your writings continue to entertain and amaze me. Best Regards Len

Isn't it strange that that the school admin is not more tuned to the matter of emotional and physical abuse. My heart goes out to those like Avery who must suffer as others turn the other way.

It is so precious as a parent to be allowed children to carefore, nourish, and protect, as they grow and develop and eventually find their way in this world. It is such a travesty and is so wrong for a parent to violate this trust with abuse, selfish, thoughtless and cruel acts that will leave a child scared for life even if they are perchance fortunate to escape by some means sooner than later. the message is clear I just hope the story brings relief and restitution to this tender soul.

Mark, for many reasons your writings have become indescribably intertwined with my life. Although I was born in northen California, grew up and was educated in CA, as a young professional I spent a major part of the 1960's and 70's in Chicago. I now spend much of my time where I reside in the Napa Valley and also in Menlo Park where my oldest son works for an upstart BI firm. Your family has become our family with all the tears and joy that we have shared together. You have become a legend in our eyes and mind and have provided us with unequaled literary treasure and enjoyment. We look forward to the next edition of this memorable saga. Thanks so much!

Without Will's presence it is doubtful the Tony could have carried out the permanent dismissal of Dana. It is also apparent that Tony has a weakness where Will is strong and they do complement one another. The last sentence clearly tells the story. I lay there afterward and decided that sex with him was incredible, but a relationship with him would be one major roller-coaster ride. and therein lies the conundrum as to whether Will can handle the roller-coaster long term. Great work Mark and indeed intriguing .

You did let George live as is appropriate for all story hero's how could he be replaced because you had made him sich an ethical bastard who could manage twenty things at once and no one could out think or out maneuver him. He is the man for the job expecially as he has to manage his brother and still keep the royalty in power etc. Good job and keep it going I like the earlly morning story releases -- it fits with my sleeping schedule regards Lenard

Will must really care a great deal for Tony or he would not put up with this crap from Dana. He has quickly seen the strategy of teaming with Rick and the show has just begun. I can't wait to see who survives the float down the river. I do believe the Will with all his persuasive will use Rick to his advantage in decimating Dana and humbling Tony. Can't wait to see who survives the trip and whether Will still believes he can hold the course with Tony. Great drama and story telling Mark regards Lenard

Hero's do not die or should I more appropriately imply that they SHOULD not die. Especially George Granger who has faced danger and death and has come through as the legendary champion of your most faithful readers. Please do not disappoint us and it will take toooo long to bring another protagonist to reach the respect that Granger has achieved. Wow! your readers are ganging up on you!! What to do? Yes, you indeed did introduce a surprise as promised! Yet a most welcome one and a presence clearly needed to speak to a family in disarray. JP as the patriarch of the family spoke directly and at the same time wisely. He clearly held the various members accountable for their actions and the inevitable fallout. Will let the perceived injustices that he believed greatly minimized his and his brothers, within the larger family arena, becloud his emotional reaction, yet it did get the attention to his issues which might have otherwise been discounted as not important.. Good work Mark in bringing JP back into the leadership position another stroke of genius on the part of this author that we hold in such high esteem. Best wishes Lenard

This chapter certainly vindicates those of us who have stood up for Will as others found him immature and abrasive. Your choice of Will as this generations spokesperson is clearly an outstanding choice and will bring to the fore front the issues of class versus privilege and how snobbish the Paly clan has become, perhaps so subtlety that it had not been noted by Grand and Stef. Will and JJ have made a clear statement and I believe we will see their presence and respect will rise as the family sorts out their priorities and differences. Mark, kudos again for a great and awesome chapter and clearly a good beginning for the new millenium.

An amazingly beautiful story that continued to grip this softy with all manner tears shed as Micah's past touched so much of mine and others life experiences. Thanks for the Epilogues in bringing closure. Above all else for your sensitive and imaginative literary talent in bringing the enriching stories of Jake and Micah.
