Late to this story but glad to be here with the rest of your interested readers. Being gay and the last member of my immediate family still alive and kicking, I have a bit of experience in the issues being discussed. I cheated and read the comments before reading the chapter. I was hooked. Will be caught up soon.

The backroom operation (Tom, Dick, John and staff} have been working hard behind the scenes with hopefully more to come. Tom seems confident, but more needs done by them, and by their UK connections. Just this operation would make an interesting story. Jacob is also doing his part to tie up Joseph and Benjamin's loose ends in Israel. Sadly Ariel the beloved pet, will have to be left behind, for now. She will be with her pups and a loving family, which may be best for her. Still a lot has to fall into place before a happy ever after ending back in their home in the UK. Great writing and editing by @Mancunian and @raven1 for a tight, smooth, heart warming re-write of this complicated story.

I am unsure of what they read, but think it is the result of what they hear. This may be a road that we should not travel?

This is again the result of being stuck between the rock and a hard place. You are dammed if you do and dammed if you don't'. He still seems totally screwed to me.

With Ken and Joe's complicated past, and now possible future relationship, and intriguing murder investigations ahead, with job complications likely, you also have the nerve according to @Tris to go "grabbing your readers by the gonads". Really @chris191070, this is a shocking development. We will see how you work your way around this mystery.

With Ian and Kevin's plans to return home with Joseph still up in the air, and now with Benjamin's arrival and bonding, things have become more complicated. All seems to rely on what legal paperwork can be produced to pass the muster of authorities. Jacob also has taken interest in the plight of Benjamin and his future. His past was filled with terrible family tragedies. Hard to tell what the future may hold for all concerned, This is all dependent on our behind the scene helpers. Fingers crossed for a favorable legal outcome.

A Murder Is Announced
Flip-Flop commented on lawfulneutralmage's story chapter in A Murder Is Announced
Perhaps the old Scottish SAS sergeant would like to go along to Windermere with the polis-boy and the Minister? Would it hurt to ask?- 113 comments

True but it's fun to compare and also peak into the imagination of others. True, readers and I would also add that the authors perceptions can differ...that's another great thing about reading. The author creates the script and then reader's imaginations create their our own personal pictures or film. Comparing creates the can of worms and the double edged sword or @lawfulneutralmage's frustrations. ❤️

Hm... what do you mean? It basically means that Jamie as (a special protection agent) should not have to decide who to lie or who to fool in his reports. He is totally screwed and is on his own.

Google said: How does a cynic behave? Since cynics mistrust others' motives, they are not likely to risk their own wellbeing. Instead, they try to stay in control of their destiny. They focus on looking out for themselves. Yet the cynical choice of option A does not normally lead to better outcomes at home, at work, and for your health.

Welcome to the "Boot World", This is the overriding theme of all of @Mancunian Boot - Lost Soul stories. Although this chapter had a tissue warning, I had a warmed heart feeling, knowing that things will most likely look better for Benjamin soon.

Can you really kill a ghost, I wonder? Jamie is having to make decisions well above his pay grade.

"This was not the first bad dream that Joseph had had since the lads arrived, and they knew it would not be his last either. Nobody knew the horrors Joseph relived during his dreams. They only knew it was traumatic for Joseph to relive them." So sad. The raw emotions expressed in this chapter are truly felt.

Tears, Laughter and Plans
Flip-Flop commented on Mancunian's story chapter in Tears, Laughter and Plans
What I remembered most from my "2022" reading of this chapter was "mushy peas, with bread and butter to make chip butties"' Googling mushy peas produced such funny Q and A's about the after effects of eating them! 😃 No wonder you combine them with butties.🤔 Jacob also has a heart of gold. -
There was a line in the play and movie "Hello Dolly" that goes like this: "Money is like fertilizer. It needs to be spread around, to make young things grow,"
-
"What goes around, comes around."

I have learned that it may be "a easy vehicle to drive" but not all authors, big screen writers, or film directors / producers, can drive their '"vehicles" to a successful conclusion. There have been many "car wrecks" along the way. I would be disappointed in a world without the likes of Lord Of The Rings, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. If we chose to read or watch only the believable, defined, and limited; we would deny our self many of lives pleasures.

I know in chapter 3 comments I said "I prefer to let others think about it", but were the missing penis on two victims just red herrings?

I also admit my vocabulary awareness has also increased greatly due to GA and our friend Google.

I am really enjoying reading this story and the many comments it has produced. I must also admit that this story and its many comments have worked my mid-western USA google-search fingers, to the bone. Many of the Brit terms, the police procedures, and culture references (from my fellow worldwide readers), are enlightening to say the least. Such an education. ☺️

I am sure Ian will take comfort in your remark. We are running low on possible victims here.

So 3 months have passed since our last chapter, and now those "in the know" appear to be making all the big decisions? We are lacking any clues as to what has been going on between Morris-Walker and Chief Inspector Mwangi. Jamie keeping secrets from Mike is already causing problems. What will happen if he moves out for 3 weeks of training? Nothing good.

This is a rewrite of a 2022 writing by the author. It was a very fitting and heartfelt tale for that timeline. It is an edit with added dialogue and descriptions to tell the story better. The sad but true fact is that this story most likely could not be told in our current timeline, due to the ongoing conflict. I am pleased that @Mancunian was able to tell this story in his "Lost Soul " - The Boot series. The rescue of Joseph is much more meaningful now.

And the rhyming scheme continues, 10 little, 9 little, 8 little dead Indians, seven little, six little ...
