Ok. Sigh. I DO like Dizzy. And I do LOVE the relationship he has with his mom. That is beautifully hilarious. At the same time…I’m worried about Ky. He’s basically been forgotten. I thought he and Artie would mend a bit outside at the club but…it was too short lived to really make much headway. Dizzy is a good fit so far don’t get me wrong, let Artie explore some..but Ky…Ky just seems like a keeper ya know? They’re so rare. And Adam better call Mason. Friday nights mean he’s probably working but that doesn’t mean he can’t go see him..

I mean he did work on a farm so…..

Sigh. Positives and negatives in this chapter. Positives are pretty obvious. The negatives are that Artie is still pretty lost. His overall guilt is overriding his otherwise sound judgment. At the end of the day the one person he distrusts the most is himself. He’ll figure it out, but right now his heart is broken from missing the only rock he’s ever known in his mother and the pressure to make everyone happy is at an all time high for him.

Yeh problem is Nick can’t tell the difference between love and infatuation. And to be fair, at 14 who can? Nick is infatuated with Noah but genuinely loves Jack and his confusion is messing up everyone especially Jack.

You’re not wrong in any of this. I think Nick means well. That he’s not leading Jack on maliciously. But, that said, isn’t being fair to him either.

First off, the should’ve went with Chili Mac. Secondly, I truly think Nick isn’t as confused as he thinks. He IS however, in denial. And he’s waiting too long and going to miss his chance because Jack isn’t going to wait much longer.

I don’t know. I feel like Artie DID do more with Dizzy. That he didn’t give Ky a chance as much. That said, Ky may be been a little too patient. But also overreacted when in the end. I’m not really sure how I feel tbh. A lot of valid arguments and points were made above.

To me Dizzy is very immature. While it’s clear he cares for both Artie and Ky, he is almost flippant of their feelings. Sure he has moments of more maturity and shows he listens but both Ky and Charlotte have stated to Artie how well he’s done that in the past. He’s a in the moment kind of guy, giving very little thought to the bigger picture down the road.

The similarities between Adam and Artie keep piling up. That topic continues to get even more awkward with everyone for Artie. Subconsciously I think he’s beginning to figure it out. Subconsciously he may already have, but is afraid to know the truth. As for Adam, I’m quite sure he’s terrified of Artie’s reaction if it is true and it’s revealed. At the end of the day, does it really change things? Maybe. I guess it depends on how much Artie dwells on the vacancy of his father in his life and since, as we’re learning, he’s already pretty pragmatic, I don’t think it would. Not all that much anyway. As for Ky, OMG he is a gem. Any guy would love to have someone as sweet as he is. He’s clearly got the heart of a lion while he’s a patient and gentle as a mare. Dizzy…sigh…Dizzy needs someone who can match his energy and that isn’t Artie. I’ve no doubt Dizzy is a complete tornado in bed. I’ve no doubt he’ll leave you and the room a total disaster and you wondering why just happened and when can you that again. But being with someone with THAT much energy takes a toll on you emotionally after a while and they simply just don’t have an off or idle button. They don’t know HOW let alone comprehend why to just chill and soak in the calmness that is often times needed. Charlotte is wonderful in her own right. She is strong and silent when she needs to be but can also speak up when she needs too as well (except for herself that is). The conversations in this chapter are laced with wonderful moments of honesty, transparency, and love even on the shallowest of levels. It’s very apparent that everyone genuinely likes each other just as people and are genuinely interested in learning more about each other. Artie I think, is beginning to truly understand and appreciate this.

Any chance Adam is actually his father? I suppose either is possible. I also have a suspicion he’s also truly gay too. No reason why I do, just a suspicion. I really like Charlotte. She’s gonna be Artie’s best friend. Artie is coming around to his sexuality which is good albeit awkward for him. Hell everything is awkward for him. Dizz is rubbing off with the spontaneity, which is cute but I don’t see them being a thing. That whole Brian scene was super spontaneous for Artie. It through me off. Like it was too soon or something. Artie just doesn’t come across as that confident in himself to be that random because the next minute he’s all shy and quiet again. Ky definitely has a big opportunity and knows it IF Artie can get over his nerves.

So ok, Artie doesn’t even have a clue yet but he’s already falling for both boys. Will he be exclusive to just one? Or no? Ok yes they’re all cute in their own way. Even when Artie says he’s not gay it’s like he’s lying to himself to convince himself of that and it seems weaker every time. I’m more partial to Ky though. Dizzy is too …well let’s just say his nickname is still very appropriate to him. Ky seems to have a great heart. Which, I think Artie desperately needs in a friend or more. All 3 of the friends seem to have great hearts tbh. It sounded like Adam forgot about Artie and only remembered when Artie walked into the door at 6pm. I wouldn’t think I’d be very comfortable being a new kid to a completely new world full of not just adventure but also threats. Threats he’s got no idea about or what to watch for. Adam seems almost aloof. He’s guarding something about himself and his job.

Glad to see Arty can stick up for himself.

Sad start to a nice character build. Those grandparents are definitely monsters. I think something in Adam snapped when he heard they called Sarah a whore. I get the feeling Arty isn’t wrong about his suspicions about his uncle either.

Well, from Corey’s perspective, he’s very justified. His dad treated him like shit before. Worse actually by laying hands on him. Never a nice comment to him. Always berating and judging it’s a wonder he’s got any self esteem much less love towards his father. I’m surprised he hasn’t totally tried to commit suicide from all his berating
