  1. True. Apparently.
  2. Well, she looked at me And I, I could see That before too long, I'd fall in love with her She wouldn't dance with another Woo, when I saw her standin' there The Beatles - 1963 11 I was booked at the Courtyard Miami at Dolphin Mall, about four miles from the National Hurricane Center, so I wasted the afternoon walking around the mall. I'd forgotten to pack a tie, so the mall being right near the hotel was quite fortuitous. It became so for a second, completely unexpected
  3. That’s an awesome one too.
  4. It’s not a whole lot different, but my favorite version of ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ is Olivia Olson‘s from ‘Love Actually.’
  5. Anti-traditional here. Grandma? Good, but nothing can beat ‘Dominic the Italian Christmas Donkey’ for being so far from traditional. Lately, my choices lean more toward a mix of classical, hard rock/heavy metal, and Christmas. If you’ve never heard Trans-Siberian-Orchestra, you’re missing a real treat. I’ll be watching them in concert for the fifth or sixth time next week. Even folks not familiar with them may remember seeing this:
  6. I picked sad because the death of children is that and more. A quick story of one of my visits to Boston for work. Living in the shadow of New York City, some would probably say armpit, New Jersey, I’d always heard the horror stories about Central Park. Some coworkers and I were out late one night, after midnight, and walked through Boston Common. Regardless of the stories about Central Park, I felt safe doing something I never would have considered closer to home, no matter the size of the group I was with, walking through a dark park late at night.
  7. I believe he knew that:
  8. Thanks much.
  9. Very true x 2
  10. Thanks for the “great.”
  11. I spent many of my lunch breaks i college in the library.
  12. Sometimes working from home ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. And where the he🏒🏒 did that saying originate?
  13. Nice observations.
  14. There are hundreds of prompts. Granted this one was random, but if you look, I bet you'd find something to write about.
  15. I hear that. Although the hardest part for me was determining exactly what to write about. Like most of my ideas, this one seemed to come out of nowhere. I almost believe Red is still inhabiting my brain. (See On My Deathbed/After the Light Fails if you're curious.)
  16. Hmmm. Seems like my manuscript was leaked again. I guess I'll have to stick with it, I'm not rewriting six chapters because you figured it out! 😁
  17. Added for the drama, but, yeah, pretty stupid the networks make their folks do that.
  18. After everything I put them through, I almost had to.
  19. At this point in time, dad is a Senator in PA. I hadn't thought of his presence on YouTube. I might have to work that in somewhere.
  20. I suspect we're not alone being in that environment while writing or reading. Thanks.
  21. Thanks. Books are important to me, although, since I found this site, I read traditional books less. There are still books here, just in a different form.
  22. Well, at least I didn't leave you all hanging about them.
  23. Thanks. I'm happy there was a little mystery.
  24. 3:30 in the mornin', not a soul in sight The city's lookin' like a ghost town on a moonless summer night Raindrops on the windshield, there's a storm movin' in He's headin' back from somewhere that he never should have been And the thunder rolls Thunder rolls And the lightnin' strikes Garth Brooks - 1990 7 We decided to set up just outside Tony's room because it was closest to the middle of the overhang and there'd hopefully be less crosswind. We were just inside th
  25. I open the door, and I'm immediately transported out of my depression. I look around at all the familiar sights. I can close my eyes and see it all whether I'm here or not. With my eyes closed, I smell the aroma of recently eaten snacks. I turn left, fresh popcorn assaults my olfactory system. To the right, the strawberry Twizzlers I ate last week. The faint aroma of oatmeal raisin cookies is present. I stop to count things in my mind's eye. Six of one thing. Two of another. And then two of yet
