  1. Hey again. Another couple weeks have passed. Little Devlin had been good, until yesterday, that is. He walks up to me with this huge bag of marshmallows. I can only guess he wants to make taffy. You know, like kids used to do by putting the marshmallow in between the thumb and forefinger of each hand and working it. Never heard of that? Look it up on YouTube. No, really. Search for 'Marshmallow Taffy Billie Burgess.' You're welcome for the hits, Billie. That is one thing you can try at home. Wha
  2. Well, I did include the following disclosure. Otherwise, I'm not going to get into a debate with someone who has seen that light. But we are not energy, rather, we use it. We are matter, around 55-60% of which is water. The rest decomposes into essentially dust. If calories are energy, we destroy them by using them up doing things. If I burn ten calories doing exercise, where is that energy when I stop? Einstein may have been a genius, but no man is right all the time.
  3. Very true
  4. You're welcome. And thank you. I agree, my mind is warped.
  5. Or if we just stop. We'll never know.
  6. Thanks. Anything is possible, I suppose.
  7. I guess you have to take what is given to you.
  8. In this story, yes, that is one possible option. Isn't it nice to know there may be a dead guy hiding inside you? 😇

    In The End

Not familiar with that PSB song, mostly know them from their 'West End Girls.' I'm not familiar with any comedy programme associated with them, though. The continuation, I hope will be as successful.
  10. Hello again. It's been a while since I've been here, but I finally made it back. Let me reintroduce myself. My name is, or maybe was, Frank Garnet. My friends called me Red. I died a few months ago, your time. I said I'd be back if I could. Well, 'lo and behold, it is possible to come back. Sort of. But let me start at the beginning. Or should I say the end. Of my life, that is. The light went out, but it was only off momentarily. Apparently, it only takes a few seconds to transition to the
  11. This is a continuation of my previous story, 'On My Deathbed.' In that story, Red says "I hope I’m wrong about there being nothing else. I’m a determined old bastard, so if I can let you all know there’s something else, I’ll damn well try", and "I think this is it for me. I’ll be back if I ca..." The incomplete word being can, obviously. You probably don't need to read that first to enjoy this one, but it's short, only 1,164 words.

    In The End

You're welcome. The timing wasn't intentional. Actually, when I picked this back up, none of the second half was planned more than maybe a day in advance of its writing. I look forward to writing them!

Thanks. The positive feedback is great, and one reason I’m making it a series.

    In The End

Thanks. But the loss was temporary. I’ll only say the kids’ abilities are all different.

You’re welcome. Thanks for loving it!

    In The End

Thanks. If I don’t keep it interesting, nobody will read it.

    In The End

You’re welcome. I’m happy, and I’m not quite done with this family just yet. A couple shorties to get out of the way first, then off to Noonan-land.
  18. I’ll take either, or both.

    Chapter 41 S2

They could always make it look like the doctors all died in separate bear or mountain lion attacks. 😁

    In The End

All great ideas for the sequels. Although, my current thinking is they're focused on Avery's children, but he can't be completely absent.

    In The End

Thanks. I think it was kind of sudden, but then, that seems to be one of my trademarks.
  23. Very wrong. I'm a bottom. Oh, did I say that out loud?
  24. I'm glad I have as well. It's been a great experience, both from a reading and writing perspective. I like watching my climb among the authors' stats. 71st in total words, at the moment. Not bad out of (I think) 1060.
  25. I can only hope both sides were lying. Thanks for the accolades. Unique is definitely goo. Who wants the same stories retold over and over? Oh, yeah, movie makers.
