    Chapter 7

Thanks for putting the recap in italics. I was able to skip over it without having to read it again once I realized what “previously” meant. Other than that, a better chapter than the last few.

    Chapter 6

I have to wonder why in the hell they would separate into multiple communities when each one had to murder a child. Just keep expanding the one you have.

    The Beginning

Interesting. The mind has many uncharted areas. Many things that can’t be explained may have their answers buried deep within.
  4. Lee Wilson

    The Beginning

Had to add something more than just seeing them.

    The Beginning

Actually, there is very little “gayness” to this story. A mention of “partners” in a later chapter. To not give too much away, the aura’s color is simply an indication of the manner of death.
  6. True, but put together in the wrong way, words can get very disturbing.
  7. Thanks, it’ll pass. Just trying to get through a story that has hit me hard. I should have kept away. I just encountered a reprise of the worst part. Why do I torture myself?
  8. Thanks. Really glad you’re enjoying it. It helps keep me from reacting to the effects of my depression the last few days.
  9. Thank you. I appreciate the compliment.
  10. I think you'll be satisfied, although the full story of Jim Stellars isn't complete until the epilogue.
  11. Not only one of Cory's dad's favorites, but one of my own as well. It appears in 'Don't Blame the Band' along with numerous others of my favorites.

    The Beginning

Well, it isn't obvious yet, but there is a clue to Mrs. Miller's mode of expiration. She had a dark green aura. So did Jimmy. I'll let you add up the clues. TBH, I'd never heard either of the other two versions but discovered their existence when ensuring I had the lyric right. Nope, haven't heard Eric Burdon's version of 16 tons, only Tennessee Ernie's.

    The Beginning

Great way to add humor to tragic events! Love it.
  14. Well, fortunately that 'team's' part in this story is pretty much over, except for one line in the next chapter.

    The Beginning

    That he is.

    Chapter 4

While I'm completely sure you're right, know I would have a hard time not seeing that scene in my mind's eye over and over again. Maybe I'm a wimp. Some things just bother me too much for me to handle.

    Prologue

I started this story as a novel many (very many) years ago from an idea I had. It was just a spark really, but I spent a bunch of time on it. I don't get back to it often enough. My intent was self-publishing it, but it stalled after a few chapters. Now that I’ve found GA, and have been pretty well-received, I felt it was time to dust it off. With 5 chapters completed when I started posting here, I don’t know if I’ll be able to publish chapters as fast as I have before, every 3 or 4 days ty
  18. When I was young it was more important Pain more painful and laughter much louder, yeah When I was young When I was young RIOT - 1982 Originally recorded by 1967 by Eric Burdon and The Animals, also recorded by the Ramones, 1994. 1 I didn’t realize I was special right away. That came later. I guess when you’re only a few years old and pretty much everything is new to you, you don’t realize that you can do something that nobody else can. Until you ask someone about it, tha
  19. Avery Noonan is a man with a unique ability. He sees people’s auras. He not only sees them, but he sees them in different colors. As he ages, he discovers the colors each take on their own meaning. He continues to learn more and more about this ability as his life progresses.
  20. No, around my 10th, including a few on nifty.

I hope it stays that way for you.

    Chapter 4

I tried. Felt like I was going to vomit. What comes after may very well be tamer, but the colonists disgust me, along with the gnos. Unless they disappear and are replaced by new characters... I'd be blowing up their world if I were writing the next chapter.

    Chapter 5

I think said all I can in the previous chapter. I felt sick reading the account of Peter’s pointless murder. I know it’s just a story, but I’m not enjoying it at all.
  24. Lee Wilson

    Chapter 5

I couldn’t have said it better myself.
