Wow, that was fast! 🙂 A charming little story with a lot of potential to become a series. Chapters might be the holidays. Cheers! 🙂

In the most of @Headstall stories, a catalyst for the plot and misunderstanding between main characters has been in themselves. It has been some disappointment or painful event from the past which determined their life, attitude and behaving. In this story, it has been selfish and cunning sibling, setting traps and plotting to separate two guys, that has been determined to take something (someone to be precise) which doesn’t belong to her. The fatal kiss between Craig and Jared initiates the start of communication and dialogue (in wonderful @Headstall style) which leads to discovering the true and revelation. Is it possible to move on together after so many years living in a dark and deception? With such communicational skills provided by author, future for protagonists looks bright and happy. It is characteristic for @Headstall that there are no completely evil antagonists in the story as in fairytales. He describes his characters realistically, with all virtues and flaws as humans are. So, even evil sister gets some pity from the author at the end.

So, I've met him. And yes, Kage is completely another level in the gallery of your characters. So much that I have honored him in the review of the Shadow Effect.

@kbois has written an amazing, profound, deep, intelligent multi leveled story. Each level has been approached to with seriousness and details as it is story for itself. First level is the individual level, it is the story about Elijah, a shapeshifter we met in first instalment. His journey home has been disturbed by devastating news – death of his parents. Elijah’s life is changing completely, he will learn of loose, of friendship, of first love, sex and first heart broke. He will grow to face the evil, find his place under the sun and establish his position in shifters world. Another level is the level of friendship. Strong, unbreakable, everlasting friendship. Elijah and Tyler have a strong bond, beautiful connection which is not caused by some shifter's world rules or some paranormal activities. It is a real, human love and affection that connects these two guys. There is a beautiful level of family. Unlike the first story which deals with dysfunctional family and its repercussions on family members; this story shows us loving, caring, accepting…in a way ideal family. Global level and dangerous events in shifting world which effected all the characters is another level of the story. @kbois deals with serious issues we can find parallel in real world. Trafficking, child pornography, pedophilia underground network, corruption and involvement of the highest authorities. There are also elements of SF, genetics experiments and mutations creating hybrids, searching for a cure. Elements of original legendarium and myths from the first story are upgraded – Sentinels, led by Sebastian, their Alpha, fight the evil again in order to punish villains and repair the damage they made. Underneath the surface, this is the story of Kage, a shadow shifter. His impact is exceptionally significant, and his presence is so strong, physical or metaphysical, from the beginning till the end of the story. His shadow covers everybody, or truth to be told, it is his light that illuminates all. Waiting the third part, I highly recommend this beautiful story. You will entertain, cry, and laugh. There are cliffhangers, twists and turns, lot of action, plenty of emotions, some sensual erotic scenes. @kbois surpassed herself with this story.

I'm feeling like a ping-pong ball between your story I have red recently, @Mrsgnomie new story and your second story in this series (forty chapters - what were you thinking about?!?!?! 😜 ) Anyway, I quoted this part because I still have some dilemmas regarding story. I'm wondering about Wayne's future. He was Caleb's beta, his closest friend, ally, deputy, it is very important position in Werewolf world. What is he without his Alpha? He should be the one who was suffering the most...

Yes, he would. Dayna intentionally or not, manipulated Kyan and his feelings. She shaped him to comfort her needs. Thats what her family did with Perry too. She knew exactly that, coming from a such unhealthy family, Kyan made his life mission to be a good parent! He put aside all his ambitions, hopes, wishes, passions, sexuality...and dedicated his life to give his children something he didn't have. I hope that, if he decides to call Perry, he will do it for himself, not because of children (although I agree they are irresistible charming 😍 )!

I'm totally in @kbois literature now, so I might believe that @Mrsgnomie has some supernatural powers!

Apart that I was right and that I'm the first one on the pg.2, I must say that this is wonderful chapter @Mrsgnomie Poor Jed, obviously, there are no ideal families...as Leo Tolstoy says in Anna Karenina "All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way".

@kbois I must add here that you really tricked me. Till the last moment I thought that Caleb and Sebastian have some sort of secret agreement!

I don't want to flatter you, but I really think you could give @Mrsgnomie some advice in choosing pictures, yours are just...wow!
