Thanks @drsawzall. The story has to have some mystery. 😊

    Chapter 25

Sounds like Andy's parents tried to have him bailed and failed because of the strength of the evidence and the police opposing bail. Coverage by the local and possibly state TV could encourage more victims to contact the police. Like most thugs Red sees himself as untouchable and too smart to be caught. Neither is true.

Jordan certainly has a back story. You'll need to keep reading to find out more. 📖 😻
  6. Jordan was early for his Thursday afternoon Board Meeting and decided to detour into an arcade for a coffee. Jordan usually walked past this arcade on this way to the meeting so he had to look around for a coffee shop that was likely to serve a decent coffee. The one he decided on had tables and chairs spilling out into the arcade’s wide thoroughfare and as it was after the lunch rush most of the tables were empty. Jordan was a brilliant young lawyer. He was just on six feet with a surfers
  7. Jordan is a bright young lawyer who being early for his meeting randomly finds a coffee shop. There he meets Cameron and they quickly fall in love. They discover that their meeting is more significant than they suspect.

You amaze me @Summerabbacat with your ability to come up with songs for every story. 😻 Both boys are openly to their families and it is accepted by their families, including Jason's brother. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Thank you @mansexlover. I hope you have continued to enjoy my stories.

    Chapter 24

We still have to see this play out and the Thompson family could still decide to fight the charges. With so many known gays involved as witnesses they could claim it is a conspiracy to convict Andy Thompson. On the other hand they may find it hard to gather reliable character references for Andy. He does seem to have a reputation with the police. Just a side comment. In Australia the police forces are state run, with one police force covering the whole state. The court system is the same. I understand things are different in US. There is an Australian Federal Police Force but with different powers and responsibilities.

    Bosses

Another brilliant and suspenseful chapter. Thank you @empath I’m sure after the charade in the abandoned warehouse, that Rizzo thinks the police haven’t connected him to the case and are too incompetent to find out what is really going on. Will he be able to convince the old man behind the old desk and the Ace of Spades that this is the situation? It must be dawning on Rizzo that he is expendable. Importantly will the charade buy the extra time needed to save the boys? Support for the rescued boys is building fast. I would just love for Rebecca’s father, whose “family practically built this city”, to be revealed as one of the ‘cards’, but from @Summerabbacat'scomment that is not so. Pity!

    "En Prise"

Another amazing chapter @CasualWanderer82. We found out in Chapter 1 that King called Patrick "Pawn", and we are reminded of that again in this chapter. But, "pawn" has three meanings, two of which are relevant here. As a chess piece it is King using it to identify Patrick as one of the "Kingdom of Men". It also means someone who is being used by others for their own purposes. In this context we see Patrick being used by his mother (in Chapter 1, when asked if his mother would worry if he went with them, he responded, "she doesn't care") to keep King in a meaningless marriage and a sole destroying 'career'. In flashbacks we see Pawn catching glimpses of King and recognizing that it was death that finally brought him peace. We also saw King's love and understanding of Pawn as the thing that kept him in the marriage. In the scene of Pawn on the roof, King can see himself in Pawn, and also his love that wants to protect Pawn. Lost in the woods, Pawn is stripped bare physically and emotionally through which he develops an understanding of himself while watched over by the black stallion. The experience may not have helped him know his father but it has given him an understanding of the importance of the ranch to King as a sanctuary from the life he was forced to live. Pawn returned to the ranch house having experienced some cleansing but importantly, growth.

    Chapter 5

Sorry @Summerabbacat I can't say I remember the song, even though "tickle your fancy" and "tickle my fancy" have a sexual connotation. And a definite "no" to the shoes, but then I think I'm older than you. 😸😸😸

Well the surprise for Vincent and Brett went brilliantly. They even hammed it up with the introductions. Next is moving and all five living close together. Now I wonder if any more coincidences are in store for this extended family over Christmas.

Doug and Michael need to come to grips with the fact that young teenagers aren't as innocent and naive as they seem. I loved how quickly the twins realised that the grandparents are easier to manipulate than the dads.
