  1. Of course I'd love to see the most suggestieve truncheon and helmet possible🙂.

    Chapter 3

The question is: will it be all honey and roses (though wrapped in spreadsheets)?

    Chapter 2

Really ? Foor ML and A? And what about A's mother?

    Chapter 2

Obviously, there's one flea in the ointment: will the author be able to contrive an end that allows Axl a future beyond baking pancakes for his baby brother?

    Chapter 2

This really is lovely story. Thanks.
  6. Indeed: why not design some elegant, simple modern cupboards/chests-on-chests, executed in beautiful blonde wood, and have some brilliant black-and-gilt lacquer panels as insets?

    Prologue

I gladly buy all of it. But for Aiden's six-year waiting. That is, I think, emotionally improbable. Too much changes in a kid from 8 to 14.

    Chapter 6

Well, Congrats, from across the sea/ocean. Do take a day off to celebrate. We can wait a bit....

    Chapter 17

Yes, our mind is the architecture of our own understanding. But building it begins with all those around us, with what the world allows us to use as building blocks. That is why I deeply fear the increasing power of authorities, governments to determine what material we are given, what we may 'collect' from a world unfettered by their narrow view(s) of that world.

    Chapter 4

I love the bookshop scene. And yes, words survive. Whether they survive with force is another matter. But we can hope...
  11. This is really beautifully told. An impressive start.
  12. Very creative. A new illustrated story and a formal garden in an informal context. Brilliant.

    Chapter 1

Instead of railroads that take our land we now have multi-lane highways and huge data centers and gigantic shopping malls. All in the name of "Progress"....

    Chapter 39

One big happy family. That is how it should be, in a fantasy... But this specific fantasy leaves me with one question - unless I have missed vital info...: What happens to Canada? Few people, in tales like this, and in the reality of 2026, will rejoice in living in the country where Stars and Stripes are rapidly loosing their old meaning. Not even an "ideal" president will be able to remedy all that has been going wrong for far too many years, already...
  15. This is a tender but also painful chapter.
  16. We Dutchmen think of them as "boring Belgians", too - but then we also tend to think most Englishmen are either drunk, or boring or both, to be really honest 🙂 So let's have an exhibition of cartoons illustrating national stereotypes...

    Chapter 37

After nearly five years, the coupling. Described in simple words that put dozens of pages of mindless male/gay porn to shame.
  18. Of course it is possible to love more than one person. That's not saying it is easy, emotionally, if only because it is so complicated relationship-wise.
  19. Instead of asking 'who did this' and other superfluous questions, a telephone call for an ambulance might be more productive....

    Chapter 36

We are the location. It may not always give us the security and stability we crave, but it definitely is a thought to hold on to, especially if we feel lost.

    New Orleans

Given a story like this, all guessrs are still viable. That is why I like it.

    Chapter 35

The ice held... But did it? Perhaps, in this marvellous fantasy. Does it? In real life? The assumption is that the audience listens, watches with the right mixture of reason, and civic, community spirit.

    Chapter 34

We must pray that in a year's time the house's core stability proves resistant to the hurricane against the shutters....
  24. On the surface, little of import happens. But underneath, various relationships strengthen. Love it.

    London

Though it's obvious where this goes, I'll gladly go along.
