    Chapter 33

The only difference between a statesman and and a monster... How awfully, awfully true. For in so many countries so many elect the monster because they only see the man who promises them grandeur.
  2. I said I would hate Hudson walking in with one or two kids - apparently the "gay dream". These 12 kids, the essence of Liam's dream, were the dream of all your readers, as was this last chapter. Thank you.

    Chapter 4

Solace: yes. Companionship: probably. Love...??? Doesn't that come later, doesn't it need proof?
  4. In the Scrabble lines Ryan and him should be me and me, for R is explaining..
  5. How things will develop is obvious. The way(s) the author will describe it is the interesting part. E.g. I cannot imagine chapters describing 28 consecutive days.... Looking ng forward to what happens.

    Prologue

Tummus, Edmund... gay? Never thought about them like that. Both morally vulnerable, though.
  7. Actually, it really is a Rest Park. Walking towards the pavillion is soothing indeed.
  8. This story has given us much. I hope for many things more. But please, let it not be Hudson coming in with one or two kids. That would be an unbearable violation of what this story really is about.
  9. Well, the scene is set. And a nice one it is, too.

    Chapter 23

Oh, what would the world be like if we'd be able to destroy those who aim to destroy it...And then ride off into the sunset - and in a DeLorean, too. The ultimate reward!

    Chapter 22

If only justice could be meted out to all men who use big, golden ballrooms for purposes they're not intended for.

    Epilogue

"He could barely wait to share the news..." Of course. No jealousy. No philandering Brad. One big happy family........

    Chapter 21

    The Olivier-Orel exchange is hilarious.
  14. With all the details now spread out for the police's and our benefit, we can (re-}start creating our own theories. Lovely stuf indeed.

    "I'm His"

Splendid. With, of course, Hudson listening behind the scenes.
  16. A beach with palms... In England? But the story doesn't "sound" English... Ko And no vision of life beyond serving in a kiosk!? Maybe if he were my son I'd rather he'd move on a bit. But call me old-fashioned.
  17. No coffee. Only souvenirs. But yet: snacks and drinks. A contradiction?
  18. The warm hand on his skin. Of course there'll be romance...

    Chapter 20

"God, you're weird". That's putting it mildly. The entire story is..

    Chapter 22

If you say so. I am neither an experienced knife-yielder nor an expert rifle-man 🙂 Moreover, I do understand your story needs this development...

    Chapter 22

Maybe I'm an emotionally rather primitive reader. But if there is a steak knife on the table, and P can slash it into the mahogany, it cannot be too hard to maim G for life, or even kill him?
  22. Obviously, if an author as accomplished as our favourite would let the relationship between L and H break up, he would be cheating. For there would, should have been an indication, however hidden, of problems between them in the previous chapters. So these last ominous words must refer to other losses. Unless, of course, H has died in the years between L''s refinding his passion and the moment of the interview. Meanwhile I wonder if the interviewer isn't Hudson...
  23. Well, as the cliche has it: all's well that ends well. But really: who does need a friend to be told that he loves another friend - eight years after not having seen either of them?
  24. But also: did I miss the info that tells us how S, A and N knew where R took his son? And, also: why wasn't J more surprised when D turned up? And, last but not least: did he tell D where he would be dining?
  25. While I cannot stop reading, I am yet not convinced. Why are we supposed to accept that Dean doesn't simply let slip that he has no girlfriend?
