I wouldn't mind more feedback personally, even if a reader doesn't like it. The audience for a series like Dark Earth may not be the same crowd that's into teen stories. However, there is some readership, so it would be nice. Anyway, I'm not going to sulk about it. There are a lot of other possible problems that could be much worse.

That's a great idea actually. I'm not sure if there's a way to calculate that except in Word when it's in a .doc format. Thus any author submitting it in HTML would definitely need to use the feature and make sure the word count is in the email.
