  1. AC/DC "Have a Drink on Me"
  2. I agree on one point. The bikes crashing is definitely Shadowgod. However, the rest fit you to a T.
  3. Thanks everyone! I write poetry as an outlet. It's no big secret that I know a lot about depression. Poetry, and even prose, are a great outlet for me, because I can express my emotions both directly and indirectly. I also like to point out the ills of society in poetry as well as romantic interest. That is what poetry is all about.
  4. Christina Aguilera "Hurt"
  5. Well, the altar is ready for you.
  6. CJ, I have taken the will of the people into consideration. You will not be thrown over a cliff. That I can assure you. I'll let you know more about your fate later.
  7. Joan Jett "I Hate Myself for Loving You"
  8. Well, I see there is a tie again. However, I am still going with the one that was ahead at the time of my previous statement. As for how I am including the idea, that will have to wait for the time being.
  9. That was a great history lesson, CJ. I have always had a particular fascination with Vikings. As far as I can tell, the information regarding their colonies is accurate. I must also applaud the ending. One could not expect the story to have a happy ending, because, in such circumstances, there would not ever be a happy ending. I really liked the insight into the character as he watched the destruction of his family and people before meeting his own doom.
  10. That was definitely an interesting chapter. I agree as it pertains to Gerald Norman. He seems to hate Worthington for some reason. I have no idea why though. Kyle is certainly an interesting character. I am wondering why he wants to get away from there and spend time alone with Worthington. It makes me think that he might be liking Worthington more than he is letting on.
  11. That's one of my favorites! Disturbed "Guarded"
  12. Well, I am actually writing this scene now. The alter of sacrifice is ready, and the will of the people shall be respected.
  13. Unfortunately, the woman from the A+ training place called this morning and said that we needed to reschedule. While I was a little disappointed, I know I will be able to go some time next week. In the mean time, I am going to focus as much as possible on writing. I have actually made some good progress already today. I hope to continue with that today, because I really want to wrap this one up so that everyone can see how it ends. Anyway, I just thought I would still update as promised even though there really is not much more that can be said about it yet.
  14. This one touches on some painful truths about Indian society. BeaStKid, I am proud of you for your representation and the emotion I see in your writing. Keep up the good work.
  15. Judy Garland "Over the Rainbow" Yes, that is why I truly am a Friend of Dorothy.
  16. You all did a fantastic job as usual. CJ, you're awesome! Graeme, the formatting was definitely great. I would also like to thank Gary for helping me format my own and, of course, for beta reading and editing. And Steph, from what I can tell, you worked hard as well! Kudos to all the editors and beta readers. Also, I would like to thank the authors and the members of GA!
  17. Lauren Hill "That Thing"
  18. I agree whole-heartedly with Graeme about the mix of 1st and 3rd. This is a most unusual approach and is often not used very well, but you, Mike, are a genius of an author! I was on the edge of my seat. I was hooked from the beginning to the end. This was such an amazing rollercoaster ride. I was really wanting to know what was going to happen next. There was so much action. The whole relationship struggle was exquisite. If this story is any indication of how wonderful this anthology is, I am definitely going to enjoy them all. I will even go as far as to say that this one was even better than your first one, and it was excellent. Great job, Mike!
  19. Gary, you shall soon see how much I love irony.
  20. CJ I know cliffhangers, and that was not a cliffhanger. There was not someone "getting caught" or someone about to die. Therefore, there was not an evil cliffhanger. However, you seem to be creating a lot of cliffhangers lately. In fact, I think you secretly want to maintain your throne.
  21. Chopin "Nocturne in G Minor"... Yes, I love Chopin. I can't help it. Someone needs to teach me how to play piano!

    Ambivalence

Jamie, We've talked about the whole situation. We learn from our mistakes, and, in the end, we grow stronger as people as we learn more about ourselves and human nature in general. There really are people who are not what they appear to be. Thus we have to learn to take things slowly and figure out the best course of actions, ones that will be better for us in the long run. You're still young, and, even though you are a really smart guy, you still have much to learn about life. Hell, I'm 25 and still in need of learning. Anyway, anyone who would hurt such a sweetheart like you should be kicked in the junk really hard and punched until face so hard that his nose is broken.
  23. I have teeth, Gary. They are razor sharp, and if you are not careful, they'll rip flesh.
  24. That's hilarious, Graeme.
