Thank you for posting that! I meant to do it, then got distracted by Private Tim's desire to be first. 😀

Who got in front of you?

April 21, 2004 Escorial Palo Alto, CA Will Travis and Jake sat next to each other at dinner, and even though I was sitting next to Travis, I could see their reflections in the mirror. It was fun to try and figure out how exactly their appearances were different, but I decided my initial conclusion was correct. They had similar major parts, they were just assembled a bit differently. I noticed, for example, that Jake had a higher forehead than Travis, which had the effect o

Sometimes math is hard. 😀. That was an error on my part, one that is now fixed. Thank you so much for catching it

April 21, 2004 Escorial Palo Alto, CA Will I opened the door to find my father there with Jake behind him, as if he were Jake’s human shield. “Welcome home,” Dad said, and embraced me warmly. I thought it was nice that he’d taken off his tie and shed his jacket, as if to announce that he was no longer Mr. Corporate America. “I missed you,” I said warmly. Dad looked at Travis, then at Jake, then back at Travis, pretty much just like I had, then finally kicked h

Faces for Mark's Stories

I can see that. Although I think he’s a bit tall for Mouse, no? -
For the right price, you can make anything from Legos. 😃

You are right about the architectural style, but the overall building was more Filoli.
-
That’s a good point, and I’ve mentioned that Brad’s room was on the second floor. My inspiration for Escorial was the Filoli House. https://filoli.org/explore/the-house/

April 21, 2004 Escorial Palo Alto, CA Will The big Escalade limo drove up the stately drive and stopped at the porte cochère to deposit its passengers. I got out and smiled, happy to be home, while Travis followed me, pausing to stare at this massive house. “This place is like the Buck Mansion,” he said. My first reaction was to point out that Escorial was way nicer than the Buck Mansion, but I managed to stop myself from doing that and thus sparking an argument over

That’s a good point, but I think the odds are greater than that because they would probably run in similar social circles. Then the evil author who perpetrated such a path for Travis would be pelted with virtual hate greater than he got for killing off Robbie. 😃

What about Ohio?😃

Why would Travis want to go to Ohio? (Many of you are wondering why anyone would want to go to Ohio😃)

Not CalArts?

I don’t think that would work, based on how tough it is even today for gay actors. We’re a year away from Brokeback Mountain, so even the portrayal of gay men was limited, as Jeremy noted, to poignant AIDS movies

April 20, 2004 The Tonto Ostia, Italy Will “Happy birthday, Travis,” Grand said, raising his glass to toast my amazing boyfriend. Travis was seated at the head of the huge dining room table, with me, Grand, Stef, Tom, Marta, Skip, Berto, Vinnie, Charles, Phillipe, Pascal, and Eloise smiling at him. Since it was our last night on the ship, Travis had asked if we could have his birthday dinner aboard. Besides, food aboard the ship was so good, we’d probably enjoy a better me

April 17, 2004 The Tonto Torre Annunziata, Italy Will “That was intense,” Travis said, as we reboarded the ship. We’d spent the day exploring the ruins of Pompeii, helped along by a guide that Grand had hired. “Dude, the remains of those people who were suffocated were freaky,” I said, remembering their facial expressions. “That could give me nightmares.” “My favorite part was the whorehouse,” Travis said, making both of us chuckle. “I know, right?” I sa

My personal opinion is that 17 yr olds drink anything. 😃

July 12, 1801 Brentwood, UK Granger peeked into the drawing room and saw his father sitting on a chair while his mother relaxed on a chaise, both of them looking quite relaxed as they chatted away. He had invited his parents to come spend a week with him here at Brentwood, and it had turned out to be a good decision. His father had been working with William, Matheus, and Michael, training the three of them on the manners, etiquette, and physical gestures like bowing they woul

April 12, 2004 The Tonto Ostia, Italy Will “Those guys are a lot of fun, but I’m really glad they speak English,” Travis said, as we reboarded the ship. We’d spent the day with Berto and Vinnie, going around and seeing the sights of Rome, and tossing the obligatory coin into the Trevi fountain. We’d dropped them off and gone to Via Condotti to pick up Travis’s clothes that had needed altering, and now we were back here, anxious to have some down time before we went o

April 10, 2004 Aboard the Tonto Ostia, Italy Will “I didn’t think we’d get here this early,” I said to Travis. It was only 3:00pm. “Maybe we can find a place to do some shopping,” he said. “I’m getting tired of borrowing your clothes.” “You want to go shopping?” I asked, then started laughing. “What’s so fucking funny?” he demanded. “Shopping happens when Stef gets here,” I said. “That’s fine, but can we at least track down a place wh

Cheeseburgers are better. 😀

I think that Marc was bad for Brad long term, but I think he was a necessary step for Brad to heal from losing Robbie.

The TS Eliot rewrite was quite artistic of you! I'm impressed. While I disagree with you about most of your conclusions, the only factual error here is that the transponder wasn't Will's fault.
