    Chapter 14

Thank you so much. This was my first story with Stef as the narrator: he's such a fun character to write.

    Chapter 14

I prefer Paris a little later than that. I like to sleep in.

    Chapter 14

    And create their own.

    Chapter 28

Aluminum trees with those color wheels...if only I'd been old enough to do acid when we had ours (J/K)
  5. I'm glad you liked the chapter. Sometimes we forget how important it is to bond with our older relatives.

    Chapter 27

When I read about Tonto, I really miss not having her around in the later stories.
  7. July 18, 2000 Claremont, OH Gathan I drove up to the restaurant and parked, then pulled my wallet out and checked to make sure I had plenty of money. Ever since Robbie stepped in and said he’d pay for my full ride at Stanford, I’d been pretty flush with cash, since now I didn’t have to worry about saving money for college and I could use the bucks I’d saved up. Still, I didn’t want to run short, not tonight. I was meeting Kristin and Taylor here at this French restaurant, al
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. Thanks Old Bob! Seeing how well you handle aging makes it less painful.

    Chapter 13

LOL Well, if Will stopped acting as if he was 7 then more respect would be due I feel. He does come across as a spoiled brat sometimes, I almost expect him to stamp his feet if he doesn't get his own way. But hell, we were all teenagers once.. and I will certainly not admit to being that petulant! I'm sure you weren't like that at all.

    Chapter 26

    Trust your feelings. SMILE

    Chapter 25

    Yep, a pretty sad time.
  13. We're growing old together, my friend.

    Chapter 24

The next chapter is way worse.

    Chapter 20

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Remember, no hating me if you read 1968
  16. Beneath all that glitter is an old whore? That's more Vegas than LA. I think it's hard to visualize what Tim and Matthew are saying unless you've lived it. I find New York to be the same way as CA. They are the centers of their respective universes, and like a big black hole, they draw people in. Some fall into the big orbital trap and get obliterated, others do not. You go there, and you're playing for the big stakes. You lose, and you really lose. When you're a young guy, and nothing else is going well (read: the way you want it to go), in the end, you have your body. Either you use and abuse it, or someone else does: it's not always pretty. I'm not sure if growing up in white-trash Claremont would equip him for the power brokers in the business world, who are far more ruthless than the gangs of East LA.
  17. Multiple birthday threads? Is that like multiple orgasms? Answer: No. But it's pretty good anyway.
  18. Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! It's a busy day here, and it will be a busy weekend, but then I get some spare time again, and maybe I can belt out a chapter or thirty. I'll have to think of something really kinky to do with Hershey Kisses just for Sharon.

    Chapter 25

    Influence was EVERYTHING back then.
  20. Mark Arbour

    Chapter 24

Can you imagine Christmas dinners with Caroline's family? I visualize her father as a 1790's version of Glen Beck.
  21. Mark Arbour

    Chapter 23

It was a problem during those times, with landlords squeezing every drop of money out of their estates. I'm not sure any of them really worried about a revolution. That's what troops are for.

    Chapter 22

Travers is part of the gentry, which would be analagous to our upper middle class. Granger is an aristocrat, and entirely different species.
  23. Mark Arbour

    Chapter 21

Thank you! And BTW, don't knock a good hand job.
  24. Mark Arbour

    Chapter 20

People spawned much earlier back in those days.
  25. Mark Arbour

    Chapter 17

When i think of Andre, I visualize this big, masculine Adam's Apple dominating his whole person.
