I've seen some of the tables you guys were talking about, they're raw statistics really. What I am trying to understand is how do you convert raw stats into something like a Love comparability percentage that people can find in numerous websites if they input their birth date.

I know, I just don't understand how such an elaborate system of configurations could be created. There's some underlying math behind it, but I really don't see how it works. Current bf was trying to show me this and I am an accountant, but it sounded weird in terms of how different combinations and places actually tie into a certain combination.

I am trying to understand how this works, because I understand the sun sign stuff, but there's additional day based signs and houses of planets that are very confusing in term of Astrology. Chinese astrology is also weird to considering the timing of things against I ching and lunar calendar. I know there's some kind of mathematics behind the entire thing, but I don't get how compatibility of two signs actually work.

Well, it's been a while since I last wrote a movie review and I got the writing bug again, so I felt like reviewing a movie I recently saw. Shared Rooms is the gay man's answer to a hallmark movie for elderly audiences around Christmas. I know some of you will call me a whimsical fool for picking this movie out of hundreds of more deserving LGBT features from festivals to alternative media web series, but I really enjoyed this movie. It's a narrative story of disconnected gay men, who are tied together in strings of common Surreptitious fate. Like a lighter version of "Crash" meets a gay male's "Love Actually"". It's funny romp of people in settled relationships, people who are aimlessly looking for love and just settling for one night stands on Grindr/Manhunt/whatever is out there (like me), and those who fail to realize the things they have or the people who love them. It's comedic too with timely jokes ranging from light humor about gay sex and voyeurism to dark tones like gay teenage abandonment and even a Trump joke just for the fun. Here's the outline of the 3 stories: 1. Cal and Laslo are a married gay couple, who do not want kids and had never thought they'd have any. Well, plot twist, Cal's Teenage nephew was thrown out for being gay and he comes to seek refuge from his gay uncle. This trope is one we all know, but I promise you guys it is a lot more touching in film and the characters actually make good points. 2. Sid and Gray have just hooked up like many of us with an app. They're realizing they are into each other far more than the one night stand as they share things in common. A few voyeur jokes come as Sid is a stereotypical photographer/artist, but I like the storyline more for a personal, "if only things could be that easy" moment. 3. Julian and Dylan are roommates, who act like a married couple, but just don't understand they're perfect for each other. It's another trope from gay storytellling to have two gay men living together and not realizing they love each other, but it sort of works as their emotional attachment is so overt that it actually is subtle. Overall, it's a feel good gay movie, drama ensues, but it's decent drama with an above par character chemistry for a gay film. I also appreciate the holiday theme of family and togetherness that this film conveys, no matter how different our relationships, our love lives, and our connections are with one another, we share many more common themes as Gay men in what we desire and what we aspire for in our love lives. In the end, the comedy and drama works 8.5/10 I'd recommend it for a viewing

Just saw an old film theory and my cynical Matrix movie world is blown: It's a pretty cool theory, if the film series was all taking place inside a Computer program and the real world never truly appeared at all. It would explain all the stupid logical issues like the battery human pods using more power than they produce, the ability of Neo/Keanu to perform Techno-kinetics. It also means, maybe the machines really aren't evil or our enemies, but a program that we created to protect humanity and offer us a world to sustain ourselves, even if we're fierce individualists and seek to rebel against the world we made ourselves.

CW's flash, the one on Netflix, is kinda true to New 52/Rebirth line of story, it's not perfect. For one thing, Wally is not a quippy Red-head! Damn You New 52 (I like New 52 black Wally West, but I love my Redhead). In the comics of Rebirth, you will find out that Redhead Wally does come back, thanks to fans like me , and wanders the world looking for answers as to why the universe changed with help from Barry Allen, who remembers him. The best thing in the show is the complex villains (up to season 2), especially Eobard Thawne, Reverse Flash, he's the best villain on the show and will hook you in Season 1. Now as for Barry, he's everything you want from Barry Allen-esque Flash, dorky, quirky, and charming. He has a lot of heroic flaws, which is mirrored by his comic counterpart. In the Flash/Arrowverse tv shows at large, a few things to note: Batman does not exist, so it's Green Arrow who is basically your default Batman-like character. Superman is from another universe and does not show up, but Supergirl sometimes goes universe hopping to visit Barry. They're "super-friends" Other things, you will find out later

Well, you probably should start off with Flashpoint if you want to get into Rebirth, because a lot of the crazy stuff just started with Barry making his selfish mistake of saving his mom and altering the future. New 52 run was a hit/miss, I didn't like the storyline (they split up Lois/Clark Superman, shipped Superman with Wonder Woman, and rewrote a lot of backstories to make the heroes edgier), some good stuff did come from it, I like Batman's run as he was more or less unaffected. I'd start off Rebirth with the Flash, then Superman, and then Batman series up to around issue 25, when the Button shows up. The COMEDIAN's button of Watchmen I like this reviewers points on rebirth so far, Spoiler Warning:

Is that the one where Deadpool goes back in time and screws up the Marvel universe in weird and ironic ways. Thanks, Flip phones for me were like 2003-2005, then I got my first taste of an actual smart device in 2006 and I never went back. As for comic book recommendations: I am reading "Secret Empire" in Marvel where Captain America is a Hydra Agent and just took over the world, on DC side, I am working through Rebirth and learning about the Watchmen's intervention into the DC universe, which is really cool too. Dr. Manhattan makes a guess appearance and Oz is obviously Ozymandias, it's a big set up for battle across space/time/reality..

If you want to do a challenge, I'd say I'd lay down the gauntlet to all the young LGBT aspiring writers and directors to be on here: Some one please re-imagine Maurice, one of the great modern Gay love stories of the 20th century. The movie was a good story for its time, but the acting is tepid and timid for a majority of the film (until the ladder scene that part needs to be kept in, but for pete sakes' add a dream sequence or something for Maurice to show his desires, being in the closet does not mean you must be that sexually repressed).

Last starfighter could use a new makeover, Also, the 1980's DeLoreans need to come back in any remake of this movie (we should call Marty and Doc Brown). It's one of the only other movies outside back to the future that I can remember a Delorean being used. As for Superman 1, @Timothy M. leave Lois and Clark alone, unless you are re-imagining superman in a relationship with Jimmy Olsen, then sure change the flying scenes from New York to Paris I agree the ending was a Deus ex Machina, there was no reason to go back in time and as far as I know only a few members of the Justice League can do it, namely Flash, but never Superman.. Aas for Little Manhattan, I've never seen it @Page Scrawler, care to share a trailer.

Movie revival is a common thing now, some really good and others doing extremely bad. The worst atrocities are like Charlie and the Chocolate factor, Depp's version was horrible compared to Wilder's version at least in my view, the characters were bland, songs were weird, and there was really know whimsy to it. However, despite that, I thought Beauty and the Beast's revival was good in live action, sure it's no where near as good as the classic cartoon movie, but what can you do. For me as a classic Science Fiction fan, I'd love to see a revival of some movies that were close to being near classics, but just lacked something. To me what epitomize this need for a reboot/revival is movies like Flight of the Navigator. Here's a review for those to remember this old movie: Does anyone else think some other movies deserve a reboot to fix their flaws and make them better?

Well, I am hoping that Justice League will be good and can compete with Avengers. As mentioned, technically it's true Captain America aka Steve Rogers, is a Hydra agent/Nazi, he's also currently the world's leader (When a hero is secretly a villain, he has to be an uber-villain, one that can actually succeed.) If the visions of Spiderman do come true, he'll create a world of ttalitarian survillance, a society where the strong will crush the weak, and "undesirables" will be removed. I don't know if the world is ready for a successful villain and heroes who are weak, but I do have to give Marvel some kudos for thinking outside the box with their newest run "Secret Empire" I should also note that Wonder Woman is the most obvious bisexual character in all comics, even before it was announced as an official piece of canon.
