This just came into my mind today:

Do I hear the cat giving some praise I think Theo's strategy at free agency/drafts in the MLB is a good mirror for Bill's in NFL. People hated Theo in Boston and Chicago for losing so badly, while he was preparing his teams with stronger drafts and new players in the wing. Of course, Theo and Bill have had choice words for one another management style (Bill Belichick famously told Theo "You are Fucked" in a private message), they are both great sports managers with similar strategic ideas just different interpersonal tactics with their players. Bill Belichick is proving he's the better long term manager, but Theo is proving he's a better turnaround manager. I can't wait to see both butt heads if ESPN ever feels like inviting them both on, it would be an epic Boston Brawl

I just thought of something: Bill Belichick and Theo Epstein are now considered two of the best in sports management history, both have turned around broken down teams into extreme champion caliber power blocs: New England Patriots for Bill and Boston Red Sox/Chicago Cubs for Theo. They both play long games with strategic acquisitions, re-organization of coaching staff, and there's a type of camaraderie in the bench within teams they managed. Their style has worked, so is this the new era of Sports, dominated by New England-system? Now don't boo me off stage, I am just saying my home managers have done some impressive work at turnaround of badly ranked teams, it just seems like instead of hating against our play style people could learn from it. I could also mention Doc Rivers and the Boston Celtics/LA Clippers as well, but there's some nuances to Doc that I wouldn't consider part of New England's coaching/management style that Theo and Bill holds.

That's the reason why "Inception" dream machine are needed, seriously let us finish our fantasies you evil subconscious!

This was going to be a review of James Franco's movie I am Michael, a biopic about Michael Glatze, the former gay youth advocate turned Ex-gay poster boy with a wife turned Fundamentalist anti-homosexual christian pastor, and now deeply lost as both his far right allies abandoned him and he abandoned his old LGBT friends. I know I am gay, I tried dating girls when I was younger who were more masculine in reflection now (high school basketball forward), but not everyone is universally aligned on the spectrum, perhaps Michael never was and had the same distinction as many young bi or fluid kids that never found their own definitions beyond the label that society gave them as "Gay". I like movies that test my thought process and test my views on the world and people in it. He's a tragic man, a man you can empathize with on some levels and detest on others, yet there is a sort of reality to his plight that our community needs to reflect on. Being gay is not what defines you though, nor does turning into an anti-gay crusader defining for you either. In the end, you are still using one piece of your life to extract meaning to the rest of it. Sexuality is neither the validation for your life nor the reason to fight against it. We can all easily fall into the trap of being defined by our sexual orientation and become self-destructive as Michael Glatze slowly evolved into. Seeking your "meaning" is a personal process, not something others can do for you. As a gay author, I write a lot of stories, I engage in a lot of debates, but above all, I love experiencing everything. I went through my Christian fundamentalist phase early in life, I can still quote biblical phrases in KJV and international version of the bible. The need to seek God is a strong thing, no one should deny. However, over time you will realize the means to the Kingdom of Heaven are not in the hands of religion or its leaders, but the faith and truth that God instill in each person holds within them. I do not believe God would put 7 billion people on this earth only to judge them as evil for more than 6 billion of them eventually for not being a certain kind of Christian. God is love; people's interpretations and our own need for exclusive rights to God is not his will. For readers of this blog entry and fellow writers who stumble here, try to remember that our lives exist beyond just being gay, our meaning exist beyond what other tells us it should be, and you are yourself and only yourself.

This topic can get heated and vitriolic as a topic from the Pit, but for diehard fans of the sport of American Football, it's a long debate. Personally being a Bostonian, I would vote Tom Brady No surprise there He has just got his 7th AFC title today, 7 appearance in Super Bowl (winning 4, hopeful this is his 5th and he will beat the others), and finally he's surpassed touchdown records to the nearest contender, late Joe Montana, by double digits. Yeah, I know many people hate my home team, because we keep winning and you blame us for everything from an electrical problem to a taped recording (uh don't all players and coaches watch those anyway nowadays) to the air within a football but honestly even when you put a million limitations and even suspend Brady for 4 games, we sill made it to the Super Bowl. Let's have a fun sports debate, I am more than willing to throw down with other people on QB's from Rodgers to Manning (either brother) and we can have fun duels on their abilities and stats. Here's my top 5 rankings: 1. Tom Brady 2. Joe Montana 3. John Elway 4. Brett Favre 5. Peyton Manning I know I am missing Terry Bradshaw, but I never saw him play.

Too Obvious which team I root for

One more old favorite show that some of you might remember: 2000-2001 Witchblade A show with a great myth/fantasy premise, super powered female hero, and was LGBT friendly for its time. I still wish to know what happened to Sara and the mysterious witchblade, the weapon that has descended through the ages from female heroine to female heroine. Joan D'arc is a famous weilder.

Really long cold war with a few flare ups and border wars. It was supposed to be a reference to 20th Century US/Soviet cold war. As for Dax and McCoy, I wouldn't mind seeing a young McCoy on Discovery, it would make a lot of sense to see him as a junior doctor in training around this period just like our doctors work in the field before they practice. Also around this time, McCoy had a pretty steamy relationship with Dax and with Dax you could imagine the interesting menage a trois and poly-relationships she'd get involved in, we could finally know why Kirk calls him "Bones"

The episode must be written and directed by Woody Allen Based on the show and books, Tobin would have been a relatively older guy and near death at this point, if not already. It would likely be Emony Dax, the same Dax who had an affair at Ole Miss with Doctor Leonard McCoy, while he was still in Med school (I imagine a young McCoy to be a futuristic Southern Rogue). Remember, Dax said in DS9 episode Trials and tribbulations that she was around as a Gymnast in the early to mid 23rd century, Curzon was late 23rd to early 24th century.
