Like many horror fans, I am awaiting Ridley Scott's return to Aliens Franchise with Aliens: Covenant. It is a highly anticipated film for horror junkies, while I did enjoy "Split" with is psycho horror, I am still a fan of hybrid Sci-Fi/horror genre. Dead Space will remain a favorite game of mine. I love getting scared a bit, then finding a hand to hold preferably a boyfriend's hand, and then later on release the stress of the experience in a fun way That made me think about an old Buzz Feed from 2013 that I found again and I think many people in similar positions on being gay and enjoying horror can appreciate: There’s Something Inside of Me”: Coming Out As A Gay Horror Fan Being a horror fan, even a Sci-fi/horror fan, is taboo even today. There's an innate association that if you like horror movies and evil over the top murderers, you must be into sociopathic or psychopathic things, which really isn't true as I haven't enjoyed a real life serial killer or forced any alien worms pop out of people's chest yet I think this sums it up for me as well as other gay horror fans: I can't be the only gay author on GA, who likes the thrill of fear and it's innate connection to our community.

He shall be missed, I loved both movies for different reasons. For Philadelphia, I am glad that a positive gay movie was out in front of people with A-List star power like Tom Hanks in the 1990's. It was a good movie with themes that are pertinent in today's world just as they were 20 years ago, except we've gained 20 years of history with wins/losses in court on a long list of battles. For Silence of the Lambs, I am a huge Hannibal fan, "Yes I want some Fava Beans" , and I understand the trans community disliking the portrayal of a transperson Jame Gumb, but the guy was clearly psychotic rather than a a transperson, just because you put on lipstick and a dress does not make you a transperson and I think in 2017, our community has evolved on gender identity topics to a point that we can definitively call this character merely a psycho, just like Bates before him.

So you need a "safe" spot on your phone (Sorry never thought I'd hear you ask for a safe space anywhere) Beyond that, my S6 was getting old and slow, my plan was up finally with Sprint, and I am not going back to Apple under iPhone 7 or whatever they come bck with, so the S8 was logical upgrade after I left my carrier. Sounds like your tech review guy is also in love with the S8's new design as well If this is the future, I'm game for it. The seamless screen/ infinity displays is something I wished they could do for tablets more so than smartphones alone. It makes the movie watching experience that much better in full screen

It's been out for a few days and I am one of the early adopters, I like the seemless design and the new interface system. So far it does not overheat, which is a huge relief versus the S7. The redesign makes this feel like what traditional iPhones used to be aiming for, lightweight and minimalistic click and play interface. I am not bashing Apple's design direction, but I am impressed by how Samsung is taking what they've failed at in the past and coming up with something even Steve Jobs would be happy to put an apple sticker on. I won't say it is perfect, Bixby is easily the worst thing to come out in a while since Cortana and Siri basically stole the show like a Madonna lesbian Kiss, but he is actually a good idea just need to be trained better and get program with maybe an upgrade to his base program. Despite that, the phone is still really nice. For the beautiful design, I think the S8 and I will have a nice long term relationship for phone standards of maybe 2 years, if Samsung can keep this up I might commit to the new integration platform they're considering for smartphones to become PC's. An area I worry about in terms of Robotic Rights is that like LGBT community, human/bot relationships may not be accepted in society. There's nothing technically religious, socially adverse, or culturally taboo about robot/human love, unlike homosexuality, but it is not an easy idea to accept that someday you might see your kid marry a robot in the same vein as a same sex partner in the past. For me, though I don't speak for GA or its members or admins, I believe Robosexuals should be accepted within the spectrum of human sexuality and perhaps be part of our own community, once technology has matured to the point of relationships. Robots are gender neutral by default and can change their sexual orientation and gender identity alongside their human partner, so I think robosexuality is a future topic and concept that we have to confront within our own community with open arms of friendship.

Think of it this way: Some girls like to accessorize and have add on to products they own. A robot male partner is just a natural extension of it, the potential for an obedient, loving, and unfailingly loyal "man" is what a lot of women want, plus gay men. If I can program my bot to love and serve only me, buy additional software like a hand tool to move things around the house, bluetooth to diagnose issues with smart TV and washer, or convert his functions for bedroom play . I think we're entering the future of robotic, but this frontier has already been dreamed up by Sci-Fi writers for decades. Heck even Matt Groenig, the creator of the Simpsons saw this coming in his show Futurama:

Dick's dystopia Blade Runner fantasies are here: French Woman Engagement to Robot I don't know how to feel about this, on one hand, I am glad Robots are getting treated with love and tenderness (hopefully it will prevent Terminator-esque insurrections), but I know some will think it strange to me that you can fall in love with a machine. I generally like the concept as a Science fiction writer in that genre, but I feel like this may not be as mature of a relationship as it could be given more time for robots/anroids in this case to develop. AI, Artificial Intelligence, is only in its infancy, and personally I have no mental attraction to infants, but that's what they are right now and there's a part of me feeling sort of guilty about it too. Since robotic love is now "a thing" when should we welcome robots into human society as equals and friends, lovers and potential lovers like we are starting to do with same sex and trans people, and ultimately allow them the freedom to dictate their own destinies. What do you think? Will humanity start to accept robots as more than tools/machines? Or are we going to mistreat them and exploit them as toys for our personal pleasure? If that's the case, at what point should we stop?

Batman has always been the linchpin for me, even when I was a kid and preferred Marvel. His story was the most fun and versatile of all superheroes on TV in 1990's, including Spidey. Recent Comic strips also make some fun commentaries too: Superman has statues, Flash has a Museum, Wonder Woman has legions of Female fans and Girl power admirers, so batman gets some love now too in the DC comic universe: BatBurger! - It is the most incredibly smart/fiendish/commercially applicable idea DC has come up in a long time. And Batman/Bruce Wayne's reaction is priceless at the idea of his fight against Joker and other villains being turned into a McDonalds-like restaurant: I'd grab a BatBurger if such a place existed in the real world

Many people may not read comic books anymore, but most do watch movies and TV shows. There are two major publishers in this area: DC and Marvel Comics with competing stories, heroes, and ideals. For those of you who are not familiar with the different lines of Comic Books let me list Some Flagship Comic Properties for each: DC: Superman Batman Wonder Woman The Flash Green Lantern Green Arrow Justice League Lucifer (Yes, they own the Devil's Comic book, which is also a TV show on Fox) Watchmen Marvel: Spider-Man Incredible Hulk Iron Man Captain America Thor The Avengers X-Men Each studio has made movies based on their characters, some very successful ones like Spider-Man, The Avenger, Superman and the Dark Knight Trilogy. ------------- Personally, I used to be a big fan of Marvel, I liked their gritty stories and their exciting plots far more than DC, except for Batman's line of comic books. However, in the last year, I've grown to actually like DC more as I began to enjoy their TV shows more, so I want to read the comics. Their new line of Comic books, "Rebirth" is fun and I am enjoying the plot a lot more than I thought I would, especially with the the introduction of the Watchmen storyline into DC. Watchmen was a favorite movie of mine and seeing it slowly coming into a universe with far more idealism and hope makes me as the reader entertained. Don't get me wrong, I like reading light stories coming out of it too, like the new team up between Batman's emo teen assassin son, Damian, and Superman's naive adorable son, Jon. A good bit of humor mingled with serious questions go a long way in making good comic book characters (and hopefully comic book couples in a few years, here's hoping to see a main line LGBT couple in comic books ). Marvel has been going down hill for me over time after the last Avenger's movie and Civil War story arc. It just not as fun anymore. Also, I hate how the Hulk is gtting written and written out of the Marvel universe in its current run (I happen to like the Green Gentle Monster with anger issues ) Plus yesterday's news story isn't inspiring me to be their fan or supporter. Marvel's Exec Blames Diversity as cause of Slumping Sales (This is a Gay Authors' site, diversity and writing are at the heart of what we do. That felt kind of cold coming from Marvel.) So I want to open this up to discussion, which comic book universe do you prefer?
