  1. I finished writing my Christmas story and while writing it, I expressed some stuff that has been festering in me for a while. https://www.gayauthors.org/story/w-l/christmasthemedstoryalifesworth In terms of my faith, I really can't be considered a mainline Christian, because to me, I think Christianity as it is in today's religion is incredibly diluted and deluded. I don't like how Christianity has taken the route of power by manipulating political figures and movements, creating strife through the wealth of believers due to "issues of faith", and at the highest levels hold an absolute "Pride" in themselves for interpreting the will of God. For those, who call everyone else a sinner, have they forgotten the ultimate sin is Pride? Who are they to judge the will of God? Who are they to hold the reins of what is true faith and heretical? The other point I made in the story is a known link between religion and banking during the housing boom, mortgage lenders would go into churches to advertise their lending products, even enlisting preachers to their cause. The banks in turn would pay handsome donations to churches that had given them business. In a matter of fact, religious figures acted as sales agents for mortgage lenders, is that what Christianity means to people? To quote an often said expression, "What would Jesus do?" Religion to me is not about laws and rules, but love and kindness. There are a billion people in the world, each have their own interpretation of what is God, what is right and wrong, and what is true. Why should we be separated by a religion that says it is the sin of "Pride", to hold selfish interpretation of what is right and wrong to be applied on all, but does it themselves? Am I out there for pointing to the flaws in modern Christian beliefs? Its paradox in Pride and arrogance? Maybe, but only one being has any right to judge me.
  2. A Life’s Worth By W.L (Dec 20th, 1983) In the depths of night, Clarence Bailey, a 13 year old boy residing in Bedford Falls, is awoken by his happiest dreams yet. Though it may be the holidays, he is far too old for sugar plums and Santa Claus in his dreams. No, the happiness was not based on childhood pleasures. He is having his first adult experiences; joys that come from within oneself rather than a seasonal celebration. At first, he felt the ecstasy and excitement th
  3. A story about the self-image and self-delusion within the world that we live in. It is a story inspired by It's a Wonderful Life

  7. Nice wonderful life reference Sorry to hear about your friend Steve. I feel drugs are an escape from a world that does not live up to our hopiss and dreams, I hope wherever he is at peace and happy.

    Was I wrong?

Thank you from a chinese guy, I find racists to be ignorant and there reasoning to be based more on fear than truth
  9. Zombie, danger grows through apathy and most do not recognize apathy like they would a verbally bellicose preacher or his flock.. Under your logic, Rwandan would not have died merely due to cultural antipathy, Cambodia would not have robbed ethnic Chinese people due to social divides under pol pot, and dare I invoke Godwin's fabled law. People do not all need to be murderers to allow it to happen. All you need is for apathy and an attitude of indifference to win.
  10. Zombie, of course you would want a fair weather ally right now versus a zealot if one wants to blow you up and the other doesn't like you pink scarf , but a fair weather ally can be swayed over to the other side as well over time. People you consider as friends could progressively start distancing themselves from you due to their change in taste, fear of your behaviors, or other "perceived" characteristics that make them less inclined to be your ally. A zealot is someone we know wants us dead or gone, we know where their heart is and with the proper care, we can either avoid them or stop them from taking action. A fair weather ally is someone that might seem like a friend, you may even count on their support for Tom Daley's wet T-Shirts sales, but when the chips are down and you may need them to help you keep your adopted kids, allow you to stay with your partner at a hospital/hospice, or fight to keep your job due to homophobia with your boss, can you trust them to support you? or will they swing over to the other side? California's Prop 8 taught us that despite the support, fair weather allies are malleable. Popular support has to be irrevocable and final to make any long term changes.
  11. I want the creepy Robot,
  12. You will need to import them from Russia, http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/video/wild-foxes-house-pets-18760822
  13. You haven't been to a decent pub, politics are never far from your tall glass.
  14. I plead not guilty to taking this thread on a joy ride under any influence Lager and ales are great, I don't like lighter beers that much, but will drink with friends or use in games. There's something about the taste of wood that attracts me
  15. Fair weather allies are more dangerous than religious zealots, at least you know the zealots want you gone or dead. The fair weather allies will betray you if they "feel" its better choice.
  16. I know this might be sacrilege, but i think guinness is overhyped among beers. The real thing along with the waterdowned american version aren't as great as marketing makes them. Blue moon is good, but I recommend de Koninck from belgium, if you're after a nice ale like me.
  17. Only had natty ice when playing beer pong, I had a bottle of Sam Adams to wash the taste down Real new Englanders drink sam adams
  18. Nah Corona is worst, its piss in a bottle basically.
  19. Lol,! Called it As for the Beer,, I am guessing you guys must be Coors. However, since he has expensive taste, maybe Miller Life (Same difference as its a Coors product) or a foreign import.
  20. Hmm...Opens up a multi-million dollar Super PAC for "Zombie Justice"....there, now you can go on a rampage for human brains and not be prosecuted for any crimes
  21. How much is a life worth?
  22. Can't find it, the car model was left out. If you want a new car Banger, you will need to give Santa more than just cookies and milk. Personally, I want a Maserati:
  23. We need some humor in this thread of death and injustice Thought you would know as it is in your neck of the woods, probably an expensive truck with plenty of room in the trunk for you
  24. Well, Sale of indulgences comes to mind (Along with the Borgias, talk about wealth, power, and corruption). Modern justice is still plagued with corruption, no less than in the past. However, wealth is more subversive in legal proceedings than the old bribe a judge or jury. For example, High priced jury and jurisdiction experts can sway an entire case for or against the defendant.
  25. New Gay Holiday movie just came out! I might rent it and could potentially buy if the reviews pan out to be as good as it sounds (Nice gay Rom Com/Drama with a Christmas theme): Perfect Wedding
