  1. Abstinence never works as a real solution. ;–)
  2. But a wealthy name might entice others to become involved, either financially or by volunteering! ;–)
  3. Just because you’ve given plenty of warning doesn’t make me any less sad to know the sabbatical is coming! Eric’s not the only crotchety one around here. Better I act curmudgeonly about missing the boys ahead of time than I grumble about something else! ;–)
  4. I really enjoyed the chapter – until I got to this line! I’m going to miss the periodic updates on Eric, Andy, and Adam. Does Adam have any wealthy friends who might want to become patrons (in the UK sense) of a new rural Herefordshire LGBT service for the over-50s? ;–) I live where I do because I get most of the best of living near a large city and living in an established urbanized suburb. My city is large enough to have an LGBTQ+ presence and a supportive administration that flies the Rainbow flag every June. My community is diverse enough that there are numerous nearby groceries that cater to an extremely wide variety of ethnic groups (mostly Asian and Latinx though). I feel safe walking around wearing clothing that identifies me as Gay (at least during the day, but that doesn’t have anything to do with my LGBTQ+ identity). And I’m close enough to large cities to take advantage of the benefits they offer (like Frameline LGBTQ+ film festival). I feel more comfortable in suburbs than in the inner city, but I’ve gotten used to living near the center of the SF metro area. I couldn’t live in a more rural place. I’m isolated enough as it is. I wouldn’t want my isolation to include physically. ;–)
  5. How much of the repairs can be done by non-professionals? Things like cleaning and painting could be done by Jeremy and Alex (and possibly Trisha). It all comes down to how much Jeremy can afford… ;–)
  6. First off, sodomy is not a punishment, it is a joyful pleasure! ;–) Donnie-boy needs to be publicly humiliated with all his faults exposed to his buddies and peers. He needs to feel the shame of his friends feeling sorry for his inadequacies. He needs to be so embarrassed by this that he leaves his former family alone and goes into seclusion in an old-fashioned monastery. With a vow of poverty (assigning all his retirement funds to his ex-wife-to-be).
  7. …And in the next chapter, Jeremy gets some very unwelcome news from his doctor! You just love torturing Jeremy, don’t you? ;–)
  8. That I don’t know. But he certainly had chemistry with both Harrison Ford and Matthew Broderick. Roy and Rick seemed to have a very flirtatious rivalry and at times it felt like Roy was seducing Rick. Roy was clearly bisexual.
  9. In The Hitcher, the way he placed his hand on the boy's crotch made me long for a car when I was teen, lol And I thought he came out as Bi at some point...
  10. What is it that you are looking for? Are there certain features of those authors that you particularly enjoy? (I’ve only read stories from one of those authors.) ;–)
  11. Well, how could the moon landings be true if the Earth is flat?
  12. Rutger Hauer died less than a week after his 75th birthday ‘following an unspecified illness.’ He was known for such roles as Roy Batty (Blade Runner) and Etienne Navarre (Ladyhawke). He also established the Rutger Hauer Starfish Association, an AIDS awareness organization focusing on pregnant women and children. ‘All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.’
  13. Just like Robbie! Although Robbie is probably closer to a 5 than Tom. They’re both somewhere in the middle. The Cockney and the Canuck! ;–)
  14. Our author seems to travel between Toronto and London (meaning the original one in the UK, not necessarily the Ontario one) relatively frequently… ;–)
  15. I’m sure if I started hearing voices in my head that my therapist would want me to record everything on paper for later analysis… ;–)
  16. Behind every conservative political campaign, there’s a hidden (or not so hidden) LGBTQ+ relative. ;–)
  17. You want the story to end that quickly? ;–)

    Adventure

But that’s not what happens. Banks will use the reduction in business as an excuse to close yet another branch in order to increase the profit margin. Similarly, grocery store push self-checkout in order to reduce staffing. I will stand in a longer line just to make sure a grocery worker gets to keep their job. It’s the least I can do.
  19. The Cockney & the Canuck (featuring Tom)! ;–)
  20. Neeme Jarvi leads the Detroit Symphony in Bristow's Symphony in F sharp minor, movements two and three.
  21. They had a scientist on the set – he’s the one who wrote out all those complex formulas on the white boards. Apparently his expertise did not extend to rodent biology. Hollywood is known for high-concept, not high intelligence!
  22. Go Team Tom! ;–)
  23. Jo managed to get all of Robbie’s major secrets out! She’s amazingly good. I would have expected Robbie to drag this process out for closer to a year. But maybe that’s just me and my stubborn reluctance to expose myself to a therapist… ;–) I wonder how long before Robbie’s little prank question about buying a gun produces an uncomfortable response from the authorities? In the US, that sort of question might prompt a police investigation, complete with a search warrant! Donnie-boy would love having his reputation smirched by a police raid on his house. ;–)
  24. According to The Big Bang Theory, incorrectly as it turns out, rabbit testicles are located above the penis. Sheldon Cooper’s pedantic urges did not extend to correctly pronouncing Japanese names. He was also wrong when he stated that four state capitals are not served by the US Interstate system. His writers did not fact-check all of his statements.
