    Bro Ch 3

The tenants broke the lease in a major way, so time for eviction before anything else happens (I learned this the hard way!). Hopefully, the lawyer can figure out a way for Oscar to be able to live with his brother. Depending on how Mr. Masters handles all of this, it might be time for Austin to consider a new lawyer. Okay, the new drama has me waiting impatiently for the next chapter!

    Bro Ch 2

Austin has such a great group of friends. What I thought was going to be a sad chapter, turned out to be an uplifting story of friendship. I truly am enjoying your story.
  3. Another great chapter; thank you for posting this extra Christmas gift today. I have met way too many Mr. Watts in my life and ironically, one of them was named Mr. Watts!
  4. Leaving us with this bit of a cliffhanger is borderline cruel...and right before Christmas!
  5. Kathleen Battle, Leonard Slatkin and the Orchestra of Saint Luke's perform Un flambeau, Jeanette, Isabella. Merry (almost) Christmas!
  6. @Lux Apollo More Plentnev. The first movement has strong shades of Gottschalk
  7. I've never heard this before. Listening, I can see the little innocent heads of your charges lined up to meet their mathematical doom! *evil laugh* Whaaaa-whaaaa-wa If you need some calm music to shake the gloom away, listen to this andante. The performance was made by Shostakovich's son (or grandson; I forget which...). It's stunning!
  8. I remember being 17 and sitting on a plane listening to their Classical stream, which repeated every hour, just ravished by La reine. It was my first taste of Haydn, and the opening of the first movement was mesmerizing. Which I knew whose performance it was...
  9. You and I have spoken about Plentev before, and I think we agree how inspiring his interpretations are (especially with the much neglected CPE Bach). But as for recordings, I much prefer his 1989 studio setting of Haydn's c minor piano sonata. Perhaps you have the album as I do? As you mentioned in your post, the expressiveness in this performances is wonderful to listen to
  10. Two interesting Russian scherzi
  11. I believe it's the traditional setting, but I don't know for sure...
  12. "Let my prayer arise in thy sight as incense, and let the lifting up of my hands be an evening sacrifice. Lord, I have called to thee, hear me! Attend to the voice of my prayer when I call to thee! Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord, keep watch over the door around my lips! Incline not my heart to words of evil, to invent excuses for my sins. Let my prayer arise in Thy sight as incense, and let the lifting up of my hands Be an evening sacrifice."
  13. I so enjoyed this story. Their shadows looking like the silhouette of Raemka and Nevis, made for a perfect ending. Thirdly, thank you for sharing this story with us!
  14. I didn't comment on the last few chapters because I didn't like where the story was going and was ready to give it up. Then I read this chapter and I have NEW hope! Happy that Puppy is realizing a relationship with Steven is not the best idea. Thrilled that Joey actually does have contact with his son. A previous chapter led us to believe it was only Joey's mother who had anything to do with Noah, so he has redeemed himself in my eyes. I didn't want Puppy and Joey together before, but now it may be a good thing. I think if Puppy was involved in Noah's life, it would help redirect his focus in his relationships and also give him a perspective that will help him be more successful working at Greenstone. James, I am counting on you to keep hope alive!
  15. Tense is how I felt as well! My mind is going in all different directions thinking of how this will end up!

    part ii

This is really funny! I would love it if you continued it. Such a good plot
  18. I have posted this before, but such an amazing performance deserves several listens. From 1999, Roberto Alagna sings "Vainement, ma bien aimée" by Edouard Lalo, from his opera "Le Roi d'Ys" https://youtu.be/MxuKA4sXNkY

    Chapter 18

After reading this chapter, I realized the real "beast" in the story is the past lives of the residents of Keller Hall and how each of their past demons still haunt them. The "beauty" is how they have all come together showing each other compassion, acceptance, friendship and the love of family. No matter what happens, they will help and support each other. Now, to address the last couple paragraphs of this chapter, what a cruel cliffhanger! Since you post new chapters fairly quickly, forgiveness will come quickly as well!
  20. It is great to have Cindy back, maybe. It seems like she wants him to hook up with Steven. I vote no! Anyone who takes nude pictures of you without your permission is a horrible person who cannot be trusted! It makes it even worse when it is a person who is part of your family, even if he is not related by blood. Wow! I have no idea where Puppy should go now, thanks to Steven, it doesn't seem like going home is a safe choice any more.

    Chapter 17

The last two chapters have left me feeling sad and empty about each of the lives of the residents of Keller Hall. Getting rid of Gary removes a physical threat, but it doesn't change any of their circumstances or resolve any of their other problems. I am now, more than ever, curious about how this will end up and wonder what will happen to each of the residents as a result.
  22. A friend, who is a therapist, told me that any relationship you have, good or bad, is filling a need. If someone stays in a job they hate, it is because it fills a need for them. Maybe it is money or they have friends at work, but they stay because it is providing them with something they need at that moment in their life. Puppy right now needs Hunter. Hunter protects him, loves him (in his way) and provides him additional family (which he didn't have for a long time). Even his drinking is filling a need, it helps him cope with his life, at least he thinks it does. Hopefully, Puppy will be able to see, over the next 90 Hunter free days, that those needs can be met by his family, his mum, dad, Steven and Cindy (if a certain someone writes her back into the story 😃).

    Chapter 15

It was nice to see a small victory for good in this chapter. I keep wondering if Beau's parents will show up trying to cause more trouble, because I can see Gary arranging that to try to hurt him on all levels. I also read the author's note about us being able to figure out what will happen to Gary and has given us hints of what is to come. Since I am always wrong, I won't try to figure it out ahead of time. I will just let the story unfold as I read it---just DO NOT let Chip get hurt...pretty please? (I would love a sequel focused on Chip's life, it seems like he has a story that should be told!)
  25. I am so glad I found this story. It has truly captured my imagination and is different than what I normally read, but yet feels the same. I am hoping Momo is able to get away from his father and I have the feeling Leo's mom just might be able to help make that happen. Looking forward to future chapters and reading other stories you have written.
