  1. Good Thursday, and this has to be among the most remarkable recordings of Haydn ever made. The symphonic version of The Seven Last Words of Christ, led by Antoni Ros-Marbà, conducting the Orchestre de Chambre de Catalogne in 1965. Rarely is spiritual presented in such a spiritual way; it's amazing.

So you can monitor them on one of those game and trail tent cams? ;–)

Charles made Caleb compare the kiss with others in the past. And Charles wouldn't let Caleb just try to convince himself that the kiss never happened. With a less caring sibling, Caleb would have tried to deny that it ever happened in the first place and gone scurrying back into the Closet. Any chance of adopting a lynx or bobcat? ;–)

  8. ppm is Parts per Million and the amount of carbon in the air has been increasing rapidly recently as exhibited through milestones in George RR Martin's life. Did that help?

    Chapter 10

I want to point to that I don't know who said it first, but I certainly wasn't the one who came up with the phrase. ;–)

    Chapter 10

If you feel overwhelmed by life and your circumstances, ask for help! In the US, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK — 1-800-273-8255) or contact The Trevor Project [focused on LGBTQ youth ages 13-24]. There are suicide prevention organizations in most other countries. The It Gets Better Project is another organization to look into, but is less focused on an immediate crisis. It features more than 50,000, inspiring videos from LGBTQs and our allies (occasionally very surprising allies) talking about how things do get better. There are now affiliated organizations all over the world. web links (the images link to their wikipedia image page): National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (US military vets can be routed to the Veterans Hotline through 1-800-273-TALK as well) The Trevor Project It Gets Better Project

    Chapter 10

In that moment, Richie was forgetting the obvious, that Uncle Ray, Aunt Barbara, Andrew, and Melinda all love him and he clearly loves all of them back! His brother and sister arrive at exactly the right moment to prevent him from choosing a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Richie has been so overwhelmed by his mother's illness and subsequent death, plus the added drama of his father's inexplicable behavior that he was only seeing the pain and suffering he had to deal with. Compounding his trauma was one of the few things that brought him joy was snatched from his life abruptly. Sometimes we are so close to our problems that we can't look past them to see the wonderful things that are occurring just a short distance away. Giving Richie a little space and time away from his sperm donor will hopefully allow Richie to see things from a different perspective. The sperm donor needs to explain himself and he and Richie need to listen to each other more respectfully, maybe with a neutral observer to moderate things.

  15. What about a dragonglass buttplug? So when Jaime takes one for the team, the White Walker dies! (They've really slipped on the nudity since the first season.) ;–)
  16. Did Keller give Beecher that ring?
  17. Why do I know what they are? I don't drink and I'm old! I don't hang around party people – I think I learned about them in movies, on TV, and other GA stories… ;–)
  18. It sounds like someone remembers the old '80s Smith Barney brokerage ads which featured John Houseman's catchphrase, “They make money the old fashioned way… they earn it.” ;–)

    Farmer Wren

    One word: Harris. ;–)
  20. Wren is an architect! Beecher's house has a crumbling foundation. It was obvious to me! ;–)
  21. Not my mother. She was blindsided when she realized that I am Gay. I had been dating a guy and staying overnight and my parents were very upset that I wasn't coming home. I wrote them a letter stating that I was old enough (in my twenties) to not need to be home every night and could move out. They deduced from that that I am Gay, but confused the name of a platonic friend with the guy I was seeing (it didn't last much longer though). My parents stopped talking to me except to yell at me. Since Thanksgiving was coming up, I started to think about alternative plans and realize that two of my friends' families would welcome me to join them if I asked. But it would have been too embarrassing to my parents to have to explain why I wasn't there and they started talking to me again. ;–)
  22. I guess Huntington, KY is pretty far from the New Madrid Fault (near the opposite, western tip of Kentucky), but large quakes (around magnitude 7! – that's about the same as 1989's Loma Prieta Quake) in 1811-12 shook so strongly that church bells rang in New England. It doesn't seem too much of a stretch to think that a crumbling foundation could collapse with even a minor shake that we, in California, would ignore. ;–) 4000 earthquake reports since 1974 Unlike the West Coast, the Mississippi River Valley region is not at all prepared for even a minor earthquake. Their building codes have not been continuously updated the way California does after each major earthquake (especially in places like Japan and New Zealand that already have similarly strict building codes) gives scientists new information. This would also cause catastrophic damage on the nation's rail infrastructure, much of which would be directly affected.
  23. Why do I have the feeling that Heath will pick out an embarrassingly revealing and outrageous outfit for Aidan? Would an electronic version of the NDA still be legally binding? Could Aidan create a document for his phone that Heath's potential hookups could click on and sign? (Obviously, they'd need to be printed out and archived as hard copies, because at The Healthy Shakers, ‘we do things the old fashioned way.’) ;–)
