The nasty uncles are secret lovers who will do anything to keep anyone from discovering their forbidden love… ;–)

It’s no fun if all the guesses are predictable! Someone needs to think outside the box. Someone needs to keep you on your toes! ;–)

    Chapter 5

Jimmy is typical of many people who think it’s their job to police everybody’s behavior. His moralistic judgementalism suggests three possible future careers: the clergy, military/law enforcement, or politician (guess which party). His attitudes contrast with actual biblical prohibitions on pre-judging others, but that doesn’t stop prominent televangelists. Brian and Tyler appear to be typical hangers on. They seem to be followers with no strong opinions of their own. They are the scary ones because they are so easily influenced. They magnify the hate and ostracism that their leader espouses. They’ll be the ones claiming ‘I didn’t do it, it’s not my fault.’ Their compliance will only encourage Jimmy to go further and further in his campaign against Tracy.

That’s my cue to wonder if Adam is a Transwoman who had to leave to transition… ;–)

    Getting Ready

Geoff certainly is a nervous guy – he gets it from Joy, either he inherited the trait from her or she inflicted it on him with her constant badgering! Probably both. She raised him with so little self-confidence that he’s indecisive all the time. Joy doesn’t seem to have much self-confidence either, but in her case, she takes it out on Geoff. ;–) I’m not a very confident person, but I’m not as bad as Geoff. Geoff really could use some therapy, but I’m sure he’d be resistant and would be resentful of anyone who suggested it to him. Tony does a good job of pointing out Geoff’s stronger points, but Geoff could use reinforcement and professional help with learning better coping strategies. ;–)

Even Charles was aware that Rachel knew Wren is Gay! After talking to both of the guys, it was clear that he needed something bigger to shock Wren into listening to reason. Tracy wouldn’t have been enough, so it had to be Rachel. ;–) Three questions were answered: his parents both knew and his daddy didn’t leave because of ir! ;–) So where do you go on a date when you’re basically closeted from the entire community and all of your lunches are picnics? ;–)
  7. I usually drink sugar-free colas and other drinks (such as MiO-flavored water). I prefer stevia or sucralose, but some sodas use aspartame. I don’t completely avoid sugar, just try to reduce my consumption. ;–)
  8. I don’t drink coffee. I do drink colas and occasionally drink green tea (in other words, my not drinking coffee is not a caffeine thing). ;–)
  9. Yes, it was me! I cropped several different images for you to choose from. I still wish your avatar automatically adjusted to show your mood as a preview to your reaction to my Comments. ;–)

    The Fall Guy

I’ll make sure to use your ‘real name’ in the future, Tyrone! ;–)
  11. Alfred Peet (grew up in the Netherlands) and founded Peet’s Coffee in Berkeley. Peet was known as ’the godfather of gourmet coffee in the US. Peet taught Jerry Baldwin (cofounder of Starbucks) and two Brits who had worked at Peet’s later established Union Coffee Roasters in the UK. Folgers Coffee (founded in San Francisco) was famous for a very long-running series of ads featuring Virginia Christine as the Swedish neighbor, ‘Mrs Olson.’ They also simultaneously ran a series of ads where restaurant patrons were served Folgers Coffee instead of the usual coffee inside various ‘high-end’ restaurants to see if anyone noticed the difference. Their slogan/theme song was, ‘The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup.’ The Bay Area being the closest place to heaven on earth, of course. ;–)

    Perfect Shot

Everything we know about Aidan and Heathcliff suggests this will be an extremely rocky relationship, especially because they refuse to communicate honestly with each other. Fun for us. Not so much fun for Aidan. ;–)
  17. Since you haven’t tied up all the loose ends yet, I’m glad that the ‘We hope this made everyone happy.’ is not an indication that the story has concluded. Personally, I wouldn’t be complimented that someone decided to permanently scar themselves with ink even if it included my name. The cop uniform doesn’t do anything for me, although I’ve seen some very hot bicycle cop uniforms with tight, short pants! Clearly, Sablo wasn’t doing any of those things for me! ;–)

    Chapter 33

I was think this started off as a little side-story, but 33 chapters later you have a chapter and an epilogue left on a story that now feels too short! ;–) And then there’s your nasty habit of ending chapters with cliffhangers! I do have to admit that finding out a proposed new last name is a unique one! Fusing their names together doesn’t make any more sense than hyphenating them: Pright or Wrice! ;–) Was the announcement of their new last name a long planned denouement, or was this something you came up with after we all laughed about the possibilities? ;–)

Maybe Tyrone can distract his fans by going to a Gay venue somewhere (Pride Parade?) and claim to be an ‘ally.’ ;–)

    Chapter 13

I remember going to San José’s long gone Frontier Village amusement park with my younger brother and my 11-years younger youngest cousin. He’s even more afraid of heights than I am. He was terrified of scary things too. We took him on a ferris wheel with him sitting in the middle, I thought the ride would be okay since it just goes up and around, but he was still frightened. A few years later, I took him with a coworker to see one of the Indiana Jones movies and he insisted on sitting in the middle – good thing it wasn’t a date! ;–) And another time, my aunts took him and me to Six Flags Great America amusement park in the Chicagoland area. He would have been around 12 or so by then. He refused to go on just about any the rides! He had to be convinced to go on the ‘whitewater rapids’ ride where you’re sitting with a dozen others in a giant round rubber raft. And on the gondola ride over the park, he had a deathtrap on the central pole! Looking back, I’m surprised he wanted to spend time with me when more than half the times I saw him we were doing things that scared him out of his wits! We live on opposite coasts and never saw each other very often. He was the only cousin I ever bought gifts for on christmas. But he was the first cousin I Came Out to, when he was around 18. He was more like a nephew than cousin because he is so much younger – he was practice for when my brothers started having kids. ;–) When he was younger, and even into his teens, he was a extraordinarily skinny kid with long, thin limbs. Now in his very late 40s, he’s gotten very large! He’s at least 50% heavier than I am! ;–)

    Chapter 13

Really? I kept reading where Richie was getting harder around Freddie! Sure, all guys check each other out, but they usually try to hide their interest better. ;–)

Jim? Who’s Jim? I thought the author’s name was Tyrone ‘Robbie’ Dodger! ;–)
  23. Maybe Sue should be seeing a therapist about her multiple personalities… ;–)
  24. Okay, I read the story on AwesomeDude, but wasn't able to email the author. I tried the address (yahoo.ca) listed at the end of the chapters first, but it bounced. Then I tried the address (rogers) listed on the story page and it bounced too. I'm not registered on AwesomeDude, just on GA. ;–) Thank you, @jaya1968, for bringing it to my attention. ;–)
  25. I'm glad they were only embarrassing and not the assault by Alex-type incidents!
