    Chapter 15

When your hair is as dark as mine is, every gray (or white) hair is very visible, even from an early age. The wives tale I was told when I was growing up was that two would replace the one that you pulled. Of course we were also taught that caffeine stunts your growth! ;–) Dying your hair is also a losing battle, once you start, you can’t stop – and it starts to look silly when everything else points to extremely advanced age! ;–)

    Chapter 15

I was just making sure that your hair didn’t catch on fire. ;–)
  4. Hmmmm. No reply to the suggestion of the RSW™. Maybe I was wrong and the Retired Social Worker™ is making his long-overdue return! ;–)

Why not? Water is water! Any little bit can help make sure the fire is completely out! ;–)

    Chapter 15

When you return with blue-faces (from the boysenberry pie-eating contests), how will we know you’re not Zombies? ;–)
  8. Did Donnie and his sister share a boyfriend? ;–)

    Chapter 15

Risk Averse here. Plus my Clinical Depression and Anxiety keep me isolated by choice. Where others are dealing with their Fight or Flight reactions, I am Freezing instead (and that has nothing at all to do with temperature).

    Chapter 4

Third time’s the charm? Scott seems to have learned his lesson this time. Hopefully, he’ll be able to make new friends in the unlikeliest of places, Arkansas. Maybe he’ll get lucky this time and end up in one of the larger cities where they actually have a Pride Parade every year and a small LGBTQ community.
  13. I’m certain it’s not the Retired Social Worker™ since he’s long been forgotten by the author… ;–)
  14. Tom doesn’t need a girlfriend (or boyfriend) right now – he needs to be available for Robbie for when they both come to their senses and realize they were meant for each other! ;–)

    Chapter 13

Sex overcomes all sorts of warnings. One of their rare bouts of acting their age might coincide with a certain temptation. Nobody’s perfect… ;–)

    Chapter 13

While unlikely with Jeremy & Richie, mistakes do happen especially when those involved are very young. Maybe condoms and sex ed should be on the horizon… ;–)

    Chapter 13

In many ways, they’re acting as de facto parents, along with Marnie, already! ;–)

    Chapter 13

For their long-term survival, they really need to consider the DNA aspect of the progeny. The more diverse the genes, the better their chances for minimizing in-breeding and the negative results of that. This will mean that even Jeremy & Richie will need to do their part for the greater good of the group…

  20. Apparently Don tries just what you expect, but is unsuccessful this time. ;–)
  21. Okay! Now I get the answer to my question from the other story! Once again, Happy Birthday, Paul! ;–)

    Chapter 14

Those were the only definitions on Wikipedia’s disambiguation page seemed even remotely to fit. ;–)
  24. I don’t know how much worse Don & Sue could be if Robbie had Outed himself to everybody. He could have embarrassed Don on a scale difficult to equal unless he managed to Out himself in front of Don’s mafia. Robbie missed out on a big opportunity! ;–) Robbie should have ripped off the bandaid (or as Robbie would say, plaster)! ;–)

    The Letters

Some places suppress ‘crazy’ ideas and ‘adventurous’ thoughts. People who manage to escape that oppression often find themselves in California where they sometimes find success using those very same crazy ideas and adventurous thoughts to change the world. The Forty-niners. The Summer of Love. Silicon Valley.
