  1. LOVED this story! I'm a total sucker for a happy ending and really don't care for stories that don't have them. (My thinking has always been if I want to get depressed or sad when reading something, to just pick up a newspaper or click on the online news and find it there by the ton.) Thanks for delivering a heartfelt storyline with some truly terrific characters. Kel
  2. Happy 23rd BirthdayDom!!!
  3. It's posted in its entirety on this blog link: http://www.queerattitude.com/blogs/community/index.php Or, if you'd prefer a .pdf to read and/or download: http://virginia.blogspirit.com/list/anthol...mountain_1_.pdf
  4. Zot- Got caught up to-date with 11,12 & 13 today, nicely done! Enjoyed the "Rabbit" humor and Justin's cluelessness. Go Trevor! LOL Kel
  5. Mamma Mia is a great musical! I was fortunate enough to catch it in Toronto last year. A whole lotta fun, not your average musical. The audience participation on every ABBA song was phenomenal. Young, old, male, female- everyone in the audience knew the words to the songs and sang along. It was almost like being at a concert, the crowd was that electrified. Mamma Mia

  9. Mark, My sympathies, unfortunately I know exactly how you feel. I too suddenly had my best "Net" friend drop out of contact in the past month due to things beyond our control. Reasons were different than what happened with Snowy leaving GA (and you, as collateral damage), but the end result is the same. He's gone, leaving sadness and depression. I'm sure you'll work your way around to the other emotions if you haven't already; like being bewildered that such an important change could occur in your relationship without you being warned, feeling pissed off at the world because he's not there to share something you KNOW he would crack up over, wondering what you might have said to possibly change the current situation, realizing at the same time it was outside your control anyway and ultimately hoping contact will be re-established. It's a remarkably vulnerable time. I can't tell you it gets any better, I'm not there yet and it's been just over 4 weeks. The sting of it has lessened slightly, but the raw emptiness has remained. I've since spent time online with some terrific people , yet not one person "gets" the whole of me like he did, just bits & pieces. We would often type the exact same words at the exact same time when IMing. Sometimes it happended 3 or 4x's in one evening alone, that's how well we knew each others thoughts and thought processes. Reaching out to others has been the one thing that has saved my sanity these past weeks- that additional connection does help. If you ever feel like venting, give a shout. I'll know exactly where it's coming from. Been there, living that. Kel
  10. James, They're all cool looking pics, but that 4th one down with the butterfly wings spread out like that! Looks like you asked it to just hang out for a second so you could get the perfect picture! It's got some great detail on the wings. Kel

Kel She is adorable. Mag <{POST_SNAPBACK}> She is sweet. She looks "frisky". I love her brown eyes. Does this sweetheart have a name? Hugs, Conner <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks Conner! Yes, her name is Keely. Kel
  12. Happy Birthday TheZot! Here's wishing you a great year Kel p.s. Read your story Yankee last night. I enjoyed the light-hearted revenge theme and your main characters tactics. Some well written secondary characters too.
  13. Conner, I have to agree, you did get the worst character in the story assigned your name! I guess sharing my nickname with a homophobic main character isn't so bad, 'cause I do see him turning the corner with his attitude by the end of the story. I don't think the same can be said with your namesake! Graeme did a terrific job with this latest chapter (10). If anyone hasn't read the story yet, you should give it a look-see, it's definitely a recommended read. Kel

To post a picture here: 1. Get an account at someplace like www.photobucket.com (it's free). 2. Upload the pic to your account there from your computer. 3. Paste the whole IMG url in a window here for that pic (hit preview to check that you did it okay). <At photobucket it's the 3rd URL listed below each pic you upload. If you copy the entire IMG url line you won't need to use the IMG button above, as it automatically puts the brackets on there for you.> 4. Click the Add Reply button and it should appear here. And thanks Mag! I think she is too Kel

  16. Happy Birthday Conner !!!! (Although as I'm posting this it's not quite your birthday yet where you are, since you're on the west coast.) Anyways, let's get the formalities out of the way.... Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Conner, Happy Birthday to you! Be glad that was typed and not sung out loud to you, your hearing would likely have been damaged... Hmmm...now for the fun. Some Birthday spankings are in order too. Just need to get Michael off your lap for a bit and you onto mine for some time to administer them. Cross my heart and promise to make 'em sting for just a few seconds each. Have a terrific day Conner! Hugs and an ass squeeze on your left cheek, Kel
  17. I wont hold it against you, but I'm not Jules... Julian Alexander is Jules, I would be Joe And I have a feeling that with what everyone said, this 'bozo' wont post again. Nickolas, I'm still working my way through reading these blogs (they seem to be breeding like bunnies ) and just read this latest blog and all of its replies to-date. Eeks! Yours definitely gets first place for Bitchy Reply Post of the Year from Unregistered. Condolences rather the congratulations are in order for that. A real gutless wonder for failing to register and instead launching a sneak attack. To Mark's point and Joe's confirmation.... Unregistered still has an IP Address out there that will trip him up someday, if not now (to Joe's point that the bozo won't likely be back to your blog). No one deserves that kind of spewage on their blog and it's a credit to everyone who has acknowledged that in their replies, regardless of any past history with you. I'm impressed with everyones comments here, they say a lot about GA as a community. Take care, Kel
  18. Dio- Welcome to being a Jeep owner (specifically the Wrangler/CJ/Renegade/Rubicon models). I bought a Wrangler 4x4 soft top in '89 and quickly learned it's an unwritten code between Jeep owners that you wave at each other as you pass one another. Enjoy your ride Kel
  19. First few things that came to mind that make me go ugh Roadkill Melted chocolate bars Warm beer Flat tires & dead batteries Cold french fries Kel
  20. Hi SonoLuminus, No, I hadn't heard Erasure's version of Solsbury Hill, but I have heard a preview of them now I went out to their site and found 3 versions to preview. I liked the Ltd CD Single (37B) Mix version the best. The standard CD Mix my 2nd choice and the Manhattan Clique Extended Remix was a bit fast tempo'd for the song, but I guess if you were dancing to it, that would be the way to go. 21. One of my all-time favorite singers and songs: Peter Gabriel, "Solsbury Hill" Climbing up on Solsbury Hill I could see the city light Wind was blowing, time stood still Eagle flew out of the night He was something to observe Came in close, I heard a voice Standing stretching every nerve Had to listen had no choice I did not believe the information (I) just had to trust imagination My heart going boom boom boom "Son," he said "Grab your things, I've come to take you home." To keep in silence I resigned My friends would think I was a nut Turning water into wine Open doors would soon be shut So I went from day to day Tho' my life was in a rut "Till I thought of what I'd say Which connection I should cut I was feeling part of the scenery I walked right out of the machinery My heart going boom boom boom "Hey" he said "Grab your things I've come to take you home." When illusion spin her net I'm never where I want to be And liberty she pirouette When I think that I am free Watched by empty silhouettes Who close their eyes but still can see No one taught them etiquette I will show another me Today I don't need a replacement I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant My heart going boom boom boom "Hey" I said "You can keep my things, they've come to take me home."
  22. I said it at the Fort too, but l'll second that wish here for a fun day as well. Happy 20th Birthday Drew! Kel
  23. FYI, From a post at another forum, James is okay but without power, as he predicted. Thought you guys would want to know. Kel
  24. I'd second that Although, hot pink instead of hunter's orange would have made a nice statement in your neck of the woods... Just a reformed bad boy these days . Mum's the word. All my best, Kel
  25. Uhmm James... It's not April Fools, but I'm hoping this post was a bit of black humor?? Kel
