    Lovey-duvy-doodie

The idea that someone as kind and compassionate as you are, Kevin, can blithely ignore the day somehow disappoints me. Unless I misunderstood him, Dom
  2. The first time you've ever been in Boarders??? That's just so not right. My daughters and I can spend hours in that store. We were just 'browsing' there yesterday and for some reason I let them 'browse' me into $65. Sharon

    3 Day Weekend!

"Unbreakable Faith?" Damn - I was rooting for Moe. Sharon
  4. And just think, blog posts do not count. The mind truly boggles at what the actual total might be. Sharon
  5. As much as I enjoy having you in the same time zone, I have to agree with Kitty on this. I also think the West Coast would have better opportunities. Might be worth looking into. Sharon
  6. Happy Birthday Babycakes!! Sharon

    More Ramblings

So what's the title of the new one. Curly, Moe, or Larry? Sharon
  8. I was thinking the exact same thing. Sharon
  9. Happy Birthday Val!! Good luck with school. Sharon
  10. What he said. Or you could be really evil and mess with his mind. Sort of casually mention 'this really hot guy who asked you out, but you're not sure if you should, but maybe what the heck, its not like anyone else has asked'. Then change the subject. Sharon
  11. You'll do...welcome to the madness. Sharon
  12. Happy Birthday, James. Hope you have a great day. Sharon
  13. Consider it your 'baptisim by fire'. You aren't truly one of the pack until you've been bi..um..alpha female slapped in Dom's forum. And it only took you less than 5 posts. Welcome to the madness. Sharon

    what is tosom?

Ask and you shall receive. Isn't it nice to have people around who pay attention to this sort of stuff? Took me months to figure out how to edit a post and work the smilies. Sharon
  15. I got a speeding ticket today.....in the mail.....one of those picture kind. Apparently I was doing 63 in a 50. Now for anyone familiar with Washington DC, I was on 295 and trust me when I say if you're driving at 50 on that road, you better be on the shoulder. If not, you'll get run over. I'm not feeling too guilty about it. It was early on a Saturday morning and I was just moving along with traffic. I'm betting a lot of people got a nice snap shot of their car in the mail. I must have missed the memo that explained the police were getting tricky and using radar/camera cars that don't look like police cars. Doesn't seem quite fair. The funny thing about this is my husband thought the ticket was his. He's the usual culprit. When he saw the return address on the envelope, his first thought was 'Damn'. His second was 'I don't remember driving in DC'. Then he opens it up and sees a picture of my car, so his third thought was 'I don't remember driving Sharon's car.....in DC'. He then realizes its not his. So I get home an hour later and the first thing my kids say is 'You got a speeding ticket from DC with your car's picture'. So I said 'Dad must have been driving my car.' They said they'd already suggested that, but he wasn't buying it. You'd think after almost 23 years of marriage, he'd be willing to take the rap. Well I'm off to write a $50 dollar check, and counting myself lucky they didn't see me before I got on 295 when I was traveling just a tad quicker. Sharon

    it hurts! it hurts!

Sort of puts a whole new spin on the phrase 'getting nailed', doesn't it? Sharon

    halfway through

I just have to say that this story is by far my favorite of Vance's. Its very intense and even though I've read through it several times, I cry every time. Fair warning though, the first few chapters have some extremely violent scenes, but to have watered them down would have cut the legs out from underneath what is a very powerful story. I hope everyone that reads it gets the same message that I do. And I did tell Vance not to panic over the red. It's not as bad as it looks. But if I have to correct 'gonna' one more time, I'll have to hunt him down. Sharon
  18. Jeez - Okay, go back to the same restaurant several times over the next few days. Find the same waiter they were talking to (the one that had to go punch in, that seemed to know them, that you were flirting with) AND ASK WHO THE GUY WAS AND GET A PHONE NUMBER!!!!! I trust you can take it from there..... Sharon
  19. Babycakes, you can write random thoughts on a popsicle stick for all I care, I'll still be interested in reading them. Sharon

    Oh me too!

Salt substitutes, people, salt substitutes. There's a bunch out there - find one you like and stick to it! Also, learn to use herbs and spices. And while I'm on a rant - less prepackaged stuff and more fresh. Okay, I'm done now. Sharon
  22. If, by chance, you are flying into National Friday night, I hope you enjoy the view. Planes coming in fly up the Potomac and DC lit up in the night is awsome. Have a safe trip. Remember - it's the three H's (hot, hazy and humid). Although, that could stand for hot, hard and hairy. Works also. Sharon
  23. When the folk music makers get together, we bring significant others, of the other or the same gender (we don't care). If Vance brings Sammy, he'd be far more welcomed than Velveeta and brussels sprouts. --Rigel Sharon
  24. Southern - just a hop, skip and a jump (and a river crossing) from VA. Sharon
