I was expecting the calvery to arrive - not necessarily this quickly - but never did I imagine that the calvery would be none other than Lark. Too too much. lmao I must admit Brad's plan to set up Brian is sheer poetry after what he tried to do. What I'm really concerned about is his (Brad's) relationship with JP. We'll see, I guess. Excellent chapter, Mark!!

Did you say sequel? Yes, yes, yes! Jake is an excellent story - all the more so seeing that it was your first foray into a "relationship" based storyline, Bravo, CJ! And not a sinle cliffhanger either!

There are not enough superlatives to describe this chapter! I really enjoyed it.

Excellent dialogue in this chapter - the one liners you come up with, well they always crack me up. Steph's Walmart crack was particularly funny. Everytime Steph and Claire are in the same room, I know there's going to be fireworks. Sometimes I think JP is just a bag of secrets and he's so miserly with them - he lets them out only when he perceives some danger approaching...he would make a great Secretary of State. Super chapter, Mark!!

I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 4 chapters or so dealing with the Claremount situation - especially the scenes with Robbie facing the demons he has there. The dialogue has been excellent - including some great one-liners. Just super stuff. Gathan is a hoot! Looking forward to more from him.

Where else do you read Gay Fiction?
Conner replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Well, you have me pegged pretty good - GA and the 3 sites mentioned in your post and that's it. -
Chas was so cool in that chapter. Ok so Jake is about to cheat on his boyfriends. I knew this was coming...I was just hoping it wouldn't happen for another 16 chapters or so. Jake never mentioned Mitch's call to Corey or Brett, nor the fact that they were going to meet. Obviously something was fermenting in his mind about hooking up with Mitch. I wonder if Jake could use the "it just happened" explanation??? Probably not. Mitch, the temptation de jour, had the wherewithall to lay out a challenge to Jake, on top of paying for lunch. It's just amazing what a horny guy will do to get laid. My bet is Mitch will pull off his little gambit here. Jake will pay for it and deservedly so. Corey will find this hard to forgive.

I've never been much of a Dire Straits fan. Some of their stuff is pretty decent. However, as for "Money for Nothing", frankly, it should have been given the burial it richly deserves years ago. I'm not convinced that the song is about blue collar workers - albeit that's the angle the band takes in the lyrics - as much as it is Dire Straits whining about their own lack of stardom. It's absolute nonsense to think that the band's use of the word "faggot" is anything else but a reference to a homosexual stereotype - erring and make-up, hairstyle. I would even go as far to say that this was a reference to Elton John. Elton was always "out there" right from the get go and was a huge star when this song was published in 1985. It was bigotry in 1985 and it's bigotry today. Plain and simple.

Frankly, I can't answer the question as posed. My mind won't let me settle on any one story. There are two authors, Mark Arbour and Comicality, if they write something, I'm reading it...period. I also read CJames because he's my goat buddy and I him!!!

Have I been slimed???

I agree with Jake. Tuxedos are stupid. I bought one once for a big shindig and then didn't have cause to wear it for 6 years. Then, of course, it didn't fit when I did need it. I had it tailored. That was 8 years ago. Now it's so out-of-style, it would be like wearing bell-bottom slacks. But, I must admit, some dudes look so hot in a tuxedo! Jake is really giving his best right now. When "shit happens" while you're giving your best, it's really tough emotionally. Obviously, the hurt is around not being involved in the decision. It would also raise fears that he could well be on his way to becoming odd-man-out. Chas is a fascinating character. I didn't like her all that much to begin with. She's cool, though. She's sort of becoming the relationship manager for our guys here. I think that's a good thing. Hopefully Jake let's her go along for the "drive". She'll put things in perspective and, perhaps even more importantly, will keep Jake from calling Mitch. It would have been better, I believe, if Brett and Corey had shown some other emotion than just guilt over what they did. It "just happened" sucks as an explanation. You can't have cliffhangers in relationships. Otherwise, some relationships would just be one continuous cliffhanger.

Jake 20 was great, CJ!! The story is relatively peaceful right now. Jake hasn't added to his bullet collection. Big Tony is in jail for a long time. But the best is the threesome is going great ...well, let's just say they're making lots of sandwiches. Gay boys will be gay boys. Unfortunately, like all great authors, CJ will be stirring the pot soon enough. I'm thinking Big Tony will break out of jail. He'll then come looking for Jake in order to finish that low cost surgery he had promised, except this time he won't bother with the bullets. He'll focus on body organs. Then of course there's Jake and his proclivity for sampling the market place...that would be the boy market place. The scene between Corey, his mom and Jake was just priceless. They talked about sandwiches!

Happy B-Day, Lacey!!!

This story has been in a "great space" for the last several chapters and I'm just loving it. The highlight for me is Brad and Robbie and how engaged and committed they are in their relationship. It's like neither of them can wait to do something surprising and fantastic for the other. The other highlight is all the high finance stuff. Needless to say, I'm hoping Brad and Stef pull this off. I know it's going to get tense, but I'm dying for the moment when Alex realizes she's been had and then self-implodes on the spot...or maybe Brad will pour a bucket of water on her and she'll do the Wicked Witch of the West thing, "I'm melting, I'm melting!" Can't wait! That last scene with Brad remembering his only meeting with his bio-dad...well, that was just a great scene.

Thanks, Mark. All the best to you in 2011. Yes, I'm still following your stories...you need to ask?.....just not posting much...which I'm sure you might of noticed. So far my biggest challenge for 2011 will be trying to decide which of your current 2 stories I will vote for when the 2010 awards come round - that would be the Best Story category of course.

That was funny - particularly the way it was presented. I was watching the video thinking what has drug lords and guns have to do with Beiber....then boom. I also appreciated the shot the narrator took at himself with the Zac Efron pic.....it's for my dog.

I've never been good with Hallmark moments, but this is heartfelt nevertheless. Happy Thanksgiving, GA!!!

Good question, especially since there is no road map for 3-ways to begin with. I am confident that you, CJ, will make this work. I have no problem with some angst along the way..that's inevitabe, but in the end, dear goat buddy , this has to work. I need it to work. I am being most candid here. Otherwise, I think I shall see clifhangers everywhere. Oops, I didn't really mean to say that out loud.
-
I couldn't agree more. I don't think this issue will get much coverage in this storey though. You set the next chapter up really great, Mark!! As they say, "The stage is set." Looking forward to it. Then again, the whole plan could still backfire. But "surprise" always provides an advantage.
-
Happy B-Day, Sharon!! Ok, so where do you want me to put all those jellybeans and hershey kisses that you dumped on me last September???
-
It certainly looks like Corey is going to give this new relationship his best shot! Nice build up chapter, CJ! From my perspective, this is definitely a storey where research is a must! You know, to catch the actual flavour of things. I'm anxious to see how the Jake/Brett "competition" is going to work out. It would make for an intersting poll too. Corey has declared himself as versatile. Of course, that adds to the spiciness of it all.
-
You should be shot or face the Gunner's daughter for that one, Ricky. But yes, I laughed! Winkler's sense of humour is certainly coming along! Just love it! Mr. Robey lives!!! Travers will certainly show Granger his appreciation. Hopefully before they're both Admirals and can't remember how to show appreciation. Absolutely a splendid chapter, Mark!
-
...and besides, CJ and I can get minerals and salt tablets at our local health food store. None of that life risking behaviour for us. Spider Goat!!! I loved it!
-
I totally loved that chapter!! The only way that chapter could have been better was if there had been a few paragraphs starting with the words, "Meanwhile, over in Tiffany's room....) Let's remember that Tiffany asked Matt to be the father. If Wade did partake in the offered vagina, I'm sure he wore a condom. Being a gracious man, he wouldn't want to cut Matt's grass, so to speak. The scene with JP kneeling in front of Stefan was just perfect.
