  1. Basically I said - CJ does a lot of research for his stories. There isn't much to research on this subject. CJ will have to wing it. You said - CJ won't be relying on research for this story. He'll use his imagination and creativity. But somehow you're right and I'm wrong.
  2. I think you've been eating too many flies. Try reading my post again. Additionally, personal experience is always an asset for any author.
  3. There certainly doesn't appear to be a lot of empirical research on the subject. A google search turned up a lot of forums where such relationships are discussed. Even the terminology used seems confusing and overlapping - threesome, love triangle and menage a trois. I may have already said this but I must commend the Goat for taking this on - in the sense that this is "new territory". We all know the Goat is big on research. He may have to "wing it" so to speak. I think what is generally accepted is if a realtionship of 2 is challenging, 3 is just that much more so. To wit, "You gave him roses for his birthday, all i get are these lousy mums!"
  4. Well at least now Jake and Brett know how to cool Corey off. I think poor Corey's going to have a sore bum a good part of the time...unless Jake and/or Brett develop some versatility. Looking forward to the next chapter.
  5. The garlic press was disappointing. I thought for sure it was going to be a dildo.
  6. My Brad an exhibitionist??? Never. Lots of great stuff in this chapter! Thanks, Mark!
  7. I joined facebook for the specifric purpose of finding someone. It worked really well. I still keep in touch with him now but not on facebook - he lives in my area. I now have 40 or so "friends" whom I never hear from. I get requests from people I don't even know (or can't remember) to be friends.
  8. This chapter is not about Trevor!! It's about Joel! And how awesome he looks in his red swimsuit. And how happy he made Lisa with his proposal. Women love that stuff. Joel's going to get laid for a month straight!!! Great chapter, CJ!!
  9. Tsk! Tsk! A cliffhanger? Certainly not. As CJ clearly explained, this is a mystery story. The goal of any mystery story is to provide sufficient clues for the reader to solve the mystery. Further, it must be a mystery worth solving. Otherwise, what's the point? Do you really want your mystery served up on a platter? I should hope not. Screaming clifffhanger for a mystery story is a sure sign of a frustrated reader who can't solve the mystery and wants immediate gratification. Shame, shame.
  10. I thoroughly enjoyed that chapter!! Thank gawd that the MCA wasn't around in those days. (The MCA - Medicines Control Agency - Britain's equivalent of the US FDA.) It would have declared the elixer to be an uapproved new drug and seized it immediately - no doubt asking for 8 years of controlled clinical testing befrore releasing it. That wouldn't have been good for Mr. Robey. There are several plant materials that have a bactericidal effect in humans. Granger's "business" trips are getting more profitable all the time. A giant ruby with a curse given to the Kings of England? Sounds like a whole new story to me.
  11. Yes, another excellent chapter!! I liked the way Granger's crew wanted to put him in a bubble....to keep him safe. Followed by shades of Captain Picard frrom Star Trek telling his No. 1 to shove off and leave him alone. Loved it! Hang in there, Mr. Robey! :2hands:
  12. That was an excellent chapter!! The scene with Mann was just exquisite, thoroughly enjoyable. Like a "spotted toad", indeed! Sir John will laugh harder and louder than them all when he hears the story. He could well send Mann packing back to England, spots and all. I thought Granger's goose was cooked there for a moment. Thanks to Somers, Granger will have to make good on 30+ guineas to his gun crews. That was really an incredible battle. Granger will be a legend in his own time. Alas, poor Mr. Robey. Splinters suck. We haven't even reached Oran as yet!
  13. I don't think Mike will be pissed off with Brad for going after his mother, even if Brad succeeds. Mike's reaction when Brad told him of his intention was complete incredulity. Mike believes no one can take down his mother (who starred in The Wizard of Oz as the Wicked Witch of the West. )
  14. Happy B-Day, Chase!!!
  15. Happy B-Day, Paya!!!
  16. I'm totally stunned! Our fave goat-author....the one who would never go near a cliff...has proposed a threesome for the leads in this story!!! I really, really like it. All I keep thinking is "lucky Cory". It does make a lot of sense...in this situation for sure. For Jake, it's a no brainer. He has the most to gain - especially getting a future part This situation would fit him like a glove or it seems. Bret is motivated by both love and lust. I get the impression he wants to tame the beast...the beast that is Jake, that is. I have no clue if Cory will buy into any of this. If he does, and I hope he does, he's gonna be a busy boy! What was that movie...Two Mules for Sister Sarah?
  17. I believe that Canadians should also be able to lay claim to US presidents....cause we all know who's running the show here anyway. Oops! That wasn't political, was it? There goes my warning bar. Shhhh.....Don't tell Grame.
  18. Being one of the senior Canadians, I also got to "experience" the following 3 PM's as well Louis St-Laurent 1948 - 1957 (I was born in 1950) John Diefenbaker 1957 - 1963 Lester B. Pearson 1963 - 1968 Thanks for saving me all that typing, Steve.
  19. Didn't Trevor's last call reach Joel and Lisa at their local mall? Now hang on a sec! That's our Lisa you're talking about! You're just jealous 'cause she's gettin' some from Joel.
  20. I suspected as much!!
  21. I'm self-employed and work from home. So I guess I'm out at work. Just me though.
  22. So, do you get these thoughts a lot? We haven't even met this dude and you got the bugler playing taps!!! Maybe you were a Boy Scout and just like to be prepared???
  23. I'm pissed at Kevin for making the comments he did to Brad about Robbie being a selfish lover. Where does he get off saying something like that. He barely knows either of them. Not to mention that his view is extremely biased. Kevin likes big cocks. Kevin likes the Boxer sitting in JP's driveway. Duh! I mean he knows something of what Robbie and Brad are going through. It was just so self-serving, I wanted to vomit.
  24. Happy B-Day, Meeko!!!
  25. Happy B-Day, Steve!!!
