I was younger, and in the Navy at the time) Kyle XY (Matt Dallas and Jean-luc Bilideau), Greek, Secret life of a teenager, Glee, Hannah Montana, The Wizards of Waverly Place, Anything with Jason Dolley in it (Hatching Pete, Minutemen, Corey in the House), InuYasha, Naruto, Scryed. Star Gate (Any of them, especially Atlantis, the new one is a maybe as of right now) I used to watch Care Bears, but they cancelled it. Uhm, The Mickey Mouse club (The singing boys and girls, yay!) Voltron, Mask, G.I. Joe!, Robotech, X. And last, but not least... WWE Monday Night Raw, on a regular basis. Some embarrassing movies. Spectacular! Hannah Montana the movie (Hello Lucas Till) Anything with Zac Efron Hrm, those are just a few I can think of at the moment.

Okay. Some of you folks who are older then me might be able to help me out. I'm trying to figure out the name of a movie that came out when i was growing up (my mom wouldn't let me watch it) and i swear it had Christopher McDonald in it. It was about a bunch of kids as the main characters and there was this warlock or wizard or something who ended up helping the kids out of a jamb. One of the scenes I remember had him (the warlock guy) wearing a really large cloak and flying through the sky with the kids hanging onto his arms or the tail ends of the cloak or something. Gah, I'm sure this isn't making any sense but I hope someone can figure it out, cause I'm lost HELP ME PLZ Thanks Jon Haha. Okay, I figured it out myself 1 minute after I posted this. The Worst Witch is the name of the movie, and Tim Curry is the Christopher McDonald look a-like that I was thinking about, and in 2 days I'm going to order the movie, simply because I want it That said, does anyone have any Halloween movie favorites? Please, feel free to share them.

interesting. Minimum word length? Max word length? Anything else not allowed besides Zombies? Does the setting have to remain on earth or does it just have to be post-apocalyptic? Interested. LT

I loved SG 1, the movie and Atlantis. I hated Battlestar Galactica because it jumped too much, which was why I hated about Star Gate Universe at first. I had to record it and watch it twice just to make sure I knew where things were at, but now that I've gotten it all figured out, i'm open minded enough to say that I'll keep watching it just to see where things go, at least for now. Then I'll make up my mind. and the Cameo appearance by O'neill, Carter and Jackson was probably because they wanted to get in the fans good graces. We'll see though... Me

Ah. The Poll is up, you can check it here. LT

NYC was on the list, but honestly I'm not all that sure I'd go. I was there a few times, but I never got to party up there. I might be able to talk myself into changing my mind and going if that's where everyone wanted to go. Chicago. Hrm. I enjoyed my week there when I was 16, but Chicago is pretty big. (My aunt had a house in a suburb up there). I enjoyed Boys Town, what i saw of it anyway. Always did want to go back. Especially during Gay Pride parade. Them go go dancers on the poles...yummy. Talk about good material for a 16 year old boy. Can we please make sure we have strippers? (hrm..I can't think of a more subtler request, rofl). Okay, so all joking aside. I'm definitely open to Chicago, and I'm fairly open to the idea of New York City. I'm also seriously considering what Meeko has said. I agree with him that Hawaii is extremely expensive. I was there for four days, one of which I had duty and the other three were on shore leave, and I blew through about $3000 like nothing. Sooo, I'll be more then happy to add Chicago to the list, and NYC is already on it. Linxe

Haha. Saving my passport for my euro-trip in 2011. Gonna hit up the UK, Czech, Italy, France, Germany and then I'm heading to Australia. Although I'm not opposed to going to Montreal, I just heard they didn't like americans much? Also, the last thing I want to do is bail someone out of jail because they can't hold their alcohol, and parents may not be very understanding. Where as what happens in Vegas (well say Nevada) stays in Nevada, ehr, or anywhere else for that matter. So far we have heard: Kentucky Seattle Washington/Vancouver, British Columbia Laughlin Nevada Las Vegas Nevada Montreal Quebec, Canada West Virginia (I would have to go look up the areas, but I'm game for capitol. There's a small town not all that far away that I'm interested in going back too, not to mention the old battlefield that is on the way there) New York City Hawaii Any other spots of interest to anyone? I'm gonna start polling in a couple of days, I think. Jon
-
Isn't that where cars or horses or something go round and round and round and round in circles? I might get motion sickness if I had to do that. Hrm. West Virginia was cool. White water rafting anyone??? Is Laughlin the name of a town or something? Hrm.

Well, I'll be honest here. I chose Las Vegas because there really is a lot to do besides sit there and play in the casinos. When I went we didn't really play the slot machines a lot, did a lot of walking though. We went and saw the band Purple Reign (did Prince covers), which was really cool. Thunder (down under??) something or other was there (Australian strippers?), I think Bette Midler or Celine Dion was in town then, the singing/dancing fountains were really cool. We only went to the bars three times, once to see a gay bar/drag show and then there was Coyote Ugly, oh, and the bar that purple reign played in. One of the hotels had a huge under water tank in it which was really cool when we walked through, there was another hotel with rides and such. (We stayed at the Excalibur so we were right on the strip) We even went and took a limo ride to the old part of Las Vegas (That was cool, drinking champaigne. First time I had ever been in a limo too). One of the hotels had a Paris like feel to it which was cool running around and climbing the miniature eiffel tower on the inside. I just had a lot of fun when I was there and spent a lot of my time sober (Surprised? I was too). There was a restaurant in one of the hotels that had a rain forest like thing going on, which I would love to eat at again. Also, it really didn't seem all that expensive to me. But we hoarded a bunch of people in the hotel room (there were 7 of us total, 3 people in one bed, two in another and I had the couch). I'm not sure I'd be willing to go through all that again, but it was fun. Another thought was Atlanta Georgia, but I'd rather do that over labor day weekend because of the DCon thing they have going on , but that is expensive. Anyways, while I am concerned about anyone under the age of 21 I think there would be plenty of stuff to do for everyone. Like Tiff said, when I go somewhere I want to see new exciting things and do something abnormal that I don't get to do anywhere else. Those were just my thoughts of Las Vegas, I haven't really put much thought into any place else. If we go to Seattle though, those of us twilight fans can head further west and see where the filming/book setting took place in (Oh Steve, wanna be my Edward??? ) Plus Mount Rainier (whatever mount that is) is fun to look at. The ferry's crossing the puget sound are cool and I'll even show you all where the Navy base is and Bremerton/Silverdale. I had some fun when i went up there, plus there's the space needle, etcetera and Vancouver isn't that far away either, so we can head over to Canada for a day or so. Uhm. I had fun in Pensacola Florida when I was down there for a month for military training, but I mostly went down to the water front and rented a jet ski for a couple of hours. On another note, I won't eat at Ruby Tuesday's, ever...they make me sick every time for some reason and I have no idea why. (I just thought I'd throw that out there). Hahah, so thought just occured. How about a GA Cruise . Okay, I'm thinking too much and there's too many ideas. I'll see if anyone else has ideas on locations and stuff. Thanks everyone for replying/inputting so far. Jon

Haha. Okay, what do you all think of the middle of summer, like in July, then? I was thinking Las Vegas because Benji is there, Joe Smith said he had wanted to go (he turns 21), and Tarin was down. I'm not going to speak for them now as they haven't responded to this post, but that's what gave me the initial idea. Also, I wanted to see some real bars again, lol. Plus, plenty of entertainment to be had by everyone, not just poker machines. My only concern is if people under the age of 21 want to come, so I think I'll throw out some alternative locations. Somewhere in California. (Disneyland anyone?) San Francisco/ San Diego Hawaii (Really expensive but it's fun, and I want to meet the Bounty Hunters) Seattle Colorado Uh..Florida anyone? NYC (Expensive, I'm afraid of being mugged though) Lincoln Nebraska anyone? (okay, no one say yes, there's nothing to do here, really) Or, we can go to missouri and do the worlds of fun oceans of fun thing, lol. okay, those are just some thoughts. Any other thoughts? We can have a poll later. Still game for Las Vegas. Me

I'm also willing to go for anything not Labor Day weekend. Like I said, I'm open to anything during the summer, I just need dates/times etcetera that are good for everyone so I/we can attempt to consolidate the best numbers/dates and get the best deal available. Thanks Linxe

So. I'm starting this topic because I'm interested in meeting some of you folks from GA. I'm also sure some of you are interested in meeting other folks. I was thinking of a get together in 2010 in Las Vegas during Labor Day Weekend. I know that that may be a bad time for some of the folks due to college starting, etcetera. That's why I have started this post. I'm game for most anything next year during the summer, be it anywhere. (I really want to go to Las Vegas again though), so, I am starting this post to see who is interested and who thinks they might be able to make it. Let me know. Please reply here so I have an idea and can get numbers together. Regards, Linxe T.
