I heard about this around 7AM this morning at work. I was greatly shocked and saddened by this news. Like Kurt, I grew up through my teen years watching Steve work with a whole variety of animals. I loved the excitment he carried in everything he did. He will be sadly missed by millions across the world. My thoughts and prayers go to his wife and two children at this difficult time. Dave

I really like the idea. It might help increase member posting a little by giving members a target to reach for their next rank.

You're totally right. But I think they don't see that when they buy. I think its like an impuse, they really want the PC for lets say to get on the internet, so they just buy the cheapest. In the end if it does burn up then yeh, they'll need to spend more. But its the impulse to get on the internet that drives them, say that person waited another 6 months and saved up then they would get a better one, but how many people do you know can wait six months? It sucks, if they sell something then they need to be sure it works properly.

My bet would be price, people will pay what they can afford. Often sadly price has to come before quality.

I used to own an emachine desktop, notice the 'used to' It sucked. I kept it for like three months then sold it on ebay. I now use a Toshiba satelite and Ive never had a problem Dave

If AOL give you trouble, do what I did.... Start the call by telling the operator the call is being recorded for your security. Then tell them you wish to cancel your membership. It took me about 3 minutes and they never tried the hard sell Take care Davey!

In the UK hardly anyone drives autos. In fact I've never driven or even been in one. I remember when I took my test if you were tested in an auto you could only drive autos. If you were tested in a manual then you can drive what ever you want. Seems pretty daft since if I got into an automatic I wouldnt know what to do. I love my stick
