Well, Granger arrives in Madrid, reunites with Cardona, and immediately gets pulled into intrigue both personal and professional. But I am glad that he was able to reconnect with Cardona. Cardona's wife's affair may well cause issues between more than just Cardona and the wife. The fact that she chose someone in the French legation will cause a number of issues, between Cardona's family and others, and because of how influential they are, this could even end up involving the King, Queen, or the Prince of Peace. It could definitely make Daventry's job more troublesome, depending on how this is all handled. He will have to keep him in the loop, but not every curve in the loop so to speak. LOL I have no doubt that Granger will handle this all, and his advice to Cardona will be spot on, you just can't always control what happens in a situation like this.

OMG, I just love Henry. Someone needs to set him down; I honestly think Tom and just go through this one question at a time. Tom would explain it as well as he could and would not so without any embellishment.

The level of idiocy is growing, not sure how much more I can deal with...

Kaylen did what had to be done, but it brought him no peace. Then a visitation, and a warning of what is coming. A much larger and stronger force is coming, for the victory of Thornmere now, may well turn into their defeat later. Tomas and Ronan survived the battle, but both were affected by what happened. Much like Kaylen, they will have to figure out how to live with what occurred and how it affected them. They also know that Kaylen knows about them and doesn't condemn them for it but warns them about being careful and keeping their relationship private and secret. The King came, and recognized the sacrifice and bravery of what Thornmere did, and took nothing from them, but gave them praise for their sacrifice.

Some truly amazing stories and authors on this list. If you have not checked out the Quincefield Chronicles by @Celian you truly need to, just so well done from start to finish.

The Herald is dragging Fennrin into something dishonest; you do not build trust and support by lying. You may get some immediate support from the lie, but eventually something will slip and then you lose that support and any trust that has been gained. People already expect the worse from a Shadowforger, and even those this idea is the Herald's, when it blows up, people will turn on Fennrin, not him. Mhalyn knows this is wrong, on some level she realizes it and that is why she is questioning it. Fennrin should take that the heart, if the person that basically views the Herald as her substitute father figure and the man who has sun shining out of his backside has issues, then everyone should as well.

Sometimes we are not ready for love; and sometimes we simply won't allow ourselves to experience it. Love is something that truly only works if freely given and accepted.

Pericles & Gloria: arrests are made
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Pericles & Gloria: arrests are made
Well, we appear to have solved Daphane's murder, and it was nothing more nefarious than a senior moment. Of course, that moment may have caused a giddy moment or two for the culprit and his wife. @Summerabbacat is right, I promise that Graham is cussing Daphane and her passing more and more with each passing moment. Her death is going to be his undoing. I do appreciate that the police have kept both Charlie and Louis informed, even if so for just more about Daphane's death. And they will get them more up to date as the situation with Thomas Englert expands. Glad that Constable Burton is getting a new posting with CID, should be good for him. Well, we know that PJ has the perfect gift for Joss, let's hope he can find the same. Louis, Charlie, Tom, and Ian can take a step back, but I still think the artefact will show up some place, no one would have suspected. Only about ten more chapter, WHAT???? -
Sawyer and Tom both will do what they can to make sure that Frank and Dante are happy, I think they would both give up a great deal to make sure that happens. Blaise is just now truly realizing that Frank is growing up; and what is worse is that the person he thinks he loves is the same person his much younger doppelganger does as well. So, Carolyn finally told Blaise, and I think he is right, Sarah would be better than Britney, as I don't think Alice will stay, not sure where she and her group will end up, but it won't be here, or I don't think so. Blaise is a jealous man, and this isn't going to end well for anyone.

Yarima now knows that both Fennrin and Ainreth are gone; but not why. Enlin is lucky that she still lives, Yarima could have killed her without meaning to; but Yarima found her fascinating after she realized who it was. Glad to know that Enlin is getting better, but she is still in a dangerous position.

Never trust a blackbird... Let us hope our intrepid band of rescuers are gone before Septimus and the traitor can return to the castle. The boy's risk much trying to help this group, let's hope they escape as well.

Weekly Wrap Up (Mar. 1 - Mar. 7)
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I hate this time change with a passion that you just can't imagine. We did Romeo and Juliet in year 9, Death of a Salesman in year 10, Julius Ceasar and King Lear in year 11, and the Canterbury Tales and Mid Summer Nights Dream in year 12... -
Petre made me want to sit and cry. Ainreth is a good person, yes, he doesn't always pay as much attention to some people and things as he perhaps should, but he is honest, and that is much more than the Herald will ever be. To the point that I am not sure Fennrin dying with the Hearld would bother me much...

The Night belongs to Dance and Drink
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in The Night belongs to Dance and Drink
Frank was stuck upstairs having a miserable time while Dante and the rest were downstairs having a lovely time. Liked hearing some of the stories, even the ones that were not so nice, gave us some great background that was lacking before. Blaise was just pissy, he seems to be realizing very slowly that Frank isn't a little boy in body at least. Plus, he didn't like the idea of Dante having a good time without him. Alice needs to get back, Dante needs to speak up and let her know what Mistress Carolyn said, and they need to start making some plans. -
I swear if Fennrin gets any dumber in regards to what the Herald is doing, I am going to give up... No one can be that naive.

It only takes one to betray many; the lure of gold and the promise of wealth have turned many a man. Ronan did what he had to, a man such as Edrick could never be trusted, after being turned out, he would have sought revenge. Tomas and Ronan must be vigilant; whispers can be as deadly as steel. The keep stood against the Scots, but will it against the so called King...

Tom, Ian and Gus too
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Tom, Ian and Gus too
Wonderful chapter, and glad we got a looksie at what is going on with Ian and Tom. Honestly, I am surprised but truly glad that Ian is more confident than he gives off. He knows what he wants, what he will do and won't do and whom he wants to do it with. He and Tom are just having some light fun, and good for them both. Like others, I can't get a real feel for Tom. It is obvious that he does care about Louis, as a friend, and Ian, as maybe more, but he is so reserved and reticent to discuss things. I am worried that there is more to the health issue than he has let on, but we will see. Gus sounds nice, but while Ian talks about him a lot, I am not sure he is the one that Ian is really into. I wonder if it isn't someone that perhaps we have not even met yet. Lovely chapter, fabulous story, can't wait to see what happens next. -
Will showed what someone that really does care can do; the problem is so few people that could make a difference really do. Just being on the ground, especially Marie with her new EMT license and Travis as just muscles mattered. But having someone that can bring it all together and deal with the bureaucracy and the stupidity that goes with it is amazing. Will obviously has more patience if he was able to do that than I ever gave him credit for. And the fact they just showed up, did the job, helped where they could, and got out when it was time was impressive. New Orleans still has not fully recovered from Katrina, and the lack of support from both the Federal and State governments was unforgiveable. Just when you want to slap Will, he goes and does something like this. Of course, having a major foundation behind you and family with almost unlimited funds helps tremendously.

Are we sure that Ainreth couldn't trip and fall and let lose a blast of light and well, accidently incinerate the Herald? I mean how bad would that really be? Ainreth can't ever seem to get his point across to Fennrin without saying something to upset him; of course, the drip drip drip of poison being supplied by the Herald doesn't help. What is it about mail delivery, no one seems to get any of the letters that are sent to the front; I wonder who could possibly be behind that.

Anthology Flashback - 2014 Poetry Anthology - A Storm Is Coming
centexhairysub commented on Myr's blog entry in Gay Authors News
To paraphrase a famous jurist, I don't know how to define poetry, but I know it when I read it. LOL Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with, I do enjoy poetry. -
Let's hope that the Butcher has to take a bit to see if there are more than two bodies when the fire goes out. I do agree with @drsawzall, all electronics need to stay off until they are well out of the area. Miami from New Orleans isn't that far, but I am sure that it will be fraught with mishaps and wrong turns. LOL.

I am sure that the Herald simply destroyed the letters until it got to the point, he could not risk ignoring them, or until it got to the point that he could use Fennrin to oppose Ainreth in this endeavor. Cannot believe Fennrin is so blind to the manipulation by the Herald. Honestly, wish we could see what the Bulwark is thinking, I have not understood her position on this at all.

The Warlock is playing at a dangerous game, but should he win, freedom may be won as well. Luther and his party are almost in reach of what they seek, but they need to be careful, Septimus may not be there, but traps could still be set. Jamal did what he had to do, nothing more can be said.
