Chapter 7 - Olington
centexhairysub commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 7 - Olington
Sort of surprise that they did not tell everyone about the Humans invading how they destroyed so much already. I understand not screaming it upon arrival, but at some point, says something... -
Michael must have a smidge of decency. I guess Smith hasn't been able to beat it out of him yet. A challenge to a dual, one in front of the Senate? I choose to believe, much like Zorro, that the crowd stayed silent out of respect.

Savouring the moment
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Savouring the moment
I for one adore birding. Actually, it can be quite thrilling. Graham and Matt are taking it slow and steady, Graham might be willing to move a little faster, but I think he wants to make sure that Matt is comfortable with anything that happens, good for him. I wonder, is Graham actually a nudist, as in he would go around nude all the time if possible and when it was feasible; or does he just like the occasional nude lay about? I don't find it strange at all, I have always been rather lax about nudity, grew up in a family that it was just never a big deal, but I understand being uncomfortable with someone you don't know well at all lounging in their boxer briefs. Can't wait to see how the garden party pulls together. Freddie and Arvid will just have to bid their time; this New World Simplicity is starting to sound very cultish. Controlling the sex lives of their members is a long tried and true action from a cult. More, please... -
OMG, I just loved everything about this chapter. Emmett and Finley really talked and opened up. Did they get to everything, oh hell no. But that is what the getting to know you phase is for, and they have not even gotten to that one yet. The important thing is they have both been honest with each other. Have they spilled all their secrets, no, and they may never get around to them all, no matter how old they are or get. So much answered, but so much more to learn. Can't wait to see where this goes, next.

Why do I feel that Aaven just had his first meeting with " The Totally Misunderstood Brooding Vampire Coven " that lives in this sleek modern mountain getaway. It isn't surviving until dawn, it's what happens when you don't that will show what is what.
-
Why do I think that the scent that Lennix finds so intriguing has nothing to do with any cologne that Aaven might be wearing. Why do people always think the short cut through some desolate place is a good idea?

Love how Tony played the encounter with the unpleasant woman. My experience is that most so called religious bigots rarely have read the whole Bible and have spent their lives cherry picking what they like out of it that fits in with their distorted world view. If you can throw the Good Book back at in their face, they usually freeze up and slink away or get blusterier to hide the fact that they don't know what they are talking about. I hope the talk at the writer's group goes well; I am sure it will. Let's hope that Aaron likes his surprise.

It is clear the Golden House betrayed the Maned Wolfs. Let's hope that come out and the Senate punishes them for it but not going to hold my breath for that to happen. Zorro is going to have to get his head in the game and then figure out how to fight back. The Three Musketeers will always live....

Pool, a Fool, and Home/Away School
centexhairysub commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Pool, a Fool, and Home/Away School
Let's hope that Jeff keeps this attitude that this might help him, and let's all hope it does. Glad that Stephen and Michael are going to be learning together. I have always thought if you are going to homeschool for some reason, there needs to be more than one doing it. Leon is what a big brother is supposed to be.- 40 comments

Chapter 6 - One More for the Road
centexhairysub commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 6 - One More for the Road
Our intrepid little group has been joined by another hardy soul. Maybe by pushing each other out of their comfort zones a little, they can all start to get over whatever issues they have in their own lives at the moment. A really nice chapter. -
Kieran and Charlie got a few things packed at Kieran's parents place and then went to visit Charlie's mother at the cemetery. The flowers were a nice touch, not just that they took flowers, but they got them from Kieran's mother's garden, so more natural just look better. Glad that Tobes is busy doing another model and will get to see the guys later. Kieran and Charlie will have a few things to do to mesh their lives a little more fully. Some of that will be cleaning out Charlie's house and deciding what they want to keep and what will need to go. Plus, at some point, Kieran will have to get his stuff from the city and work that in as well.

You just can't trust anyone...

I know that Chris was with Max, who attached Matthew and was killed by Dante, but a little disappointed in how Matthew is acting. We did not get to fully know him in the previous stories, but I had a better impression of him from them then I do here. Chris is in a place that is totally foreign to him, we will have to see how he adjusts, some of that may well depend on how much assistance he gets. Is his hearing issues from birth, or because of damage done while working in the steel mill?

Chapter 5 - Edgedale
centexhairysub commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 5 - Edgedale
It is easy to blame those that are different when tragic incidents occur, and many of these seem to be accidents not aimed at anyone. Our two are right, they are wallowing in their grief and anger and until they get away from it, they will never truly heal. -
Wonderful chapter, and I was pretty sure this was going to be what Tony was up to. A nice new truck for Aaron for the business of course, and not one that is so overpriced that it would make him feel more critical of it. Adam came to the conclusion that he had a looky-loo on his hands, but then he got the surprise of sale without much work involved. LOL Adam and Miriam knew who he was as soon as his name was mentioned, Adam already had an idea or maybe wishful thinking. Maybe a nice addition to their friendship circle. Can't wait to see how the meeting with the lady from the writing circle goes.

There is no way for everyone to come out unscathed when undertaking something like this. The teams were designed to give each team the best chance at succeeding with the mission, not surviving it; although that would be the ideal situation. They all know this mission must not fail. They all know that some will not return. But they all know that they will go forward anyway. This is what it means when someone says, they were brave.

This was hilarious, semi gross, but hilarious. -
As always, thanks for the update.

Chapter 4 - Into the Wilds
centexhairysub commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 4 - Into the Wilds
Tigath and Othri need to flee while they can. Nuji was right, this is not a good place. -
Sometimes it is easier to get along when there is just one other person there, so Michael and Stephen are getting to know each other and become friends; but throw another person, into the mix, and what will happen?

May CSR Feature: The Answer by Wayne Gray
centexhairysub commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Can't wait to find time this week to read all of these entries, but this sound delightful. -
I am fairly sure that Deidre knows nothing about the illegal activities, but I do wonder how she will feel when it comes out that the arrest came about because the boys had a detective trailing Jasper. Deidre is not known for being calm and rationale. Glad that Val and Marina realized that they could not control Noah to the extent they wanted. I still don't trust them on the issue, however, we will just have to wait and see. Brian and Gordon did nothing wrong, they were looking out for their son. Nothing else matters.

Chris lost someone that meant something to him, but to some extent he may have lost him the moment they escaped. Max was never going back no matter what. Chris on the other hand, wants to live, not matter what.
