Aramis & Chapter 3 (1/11)
centexhairysub commented on RedMoon's story chapter in Aramis & Chapter 3 (1/11)
I have found that my biggest regrets are usually for those things left undone or unsaid. At least if I try and say something or do something, it might not turn out like I want or hope, but I gave it a shot. They both have to know that they tried, but sometimes fate simply cannot be beat. -
Love in the Olive Groves
centexhairysub commented on E K Stokes's story chapter in Love in the Olive Groves
The gift from Charles may have made it possible for them to survive this unexpected disquiet. As @drsawzall, my first thought was would Marco follow them or join them on their journey. Travel while more dangerous in these times, were done by many seeking new opportunities. Let's hope the three of them can arrive safe and find a way navigate a new adventure together. -
More tales from the honeymoon suite
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in More tales from the honeymoon suite
This was just so wonderful. Two people enjoying their honeymoon, a nice place to stay, someone cooking their food; and their friend dropping by for a threesome. LOL I just love how well Brian and Gordon do the small things that really matter. Just spending some quiet time together, grocery shopping on their way home, and the small minutia of life that seems to make every really good relationship work, when others don't. Arman is another character that is done ever so well. He just pops in and out on rare occasion but always brightens the going on and someone that does something truly surprising, High Tea at Chatsworth's. Di did learn much gossip, but I would think that Russ knew how to be discreet, and we know that Brian and Gordon are. -
Oh WOW, so Jess is in love with and living with her girlfriend Kelly, but Bernard, Kelly's younger brother is who got her pregnant and she sort of was attracted to him. Somebody quick, call the producers of Days of Our Lives, we have a new story idea. LOL. Sounds like Tony's family has more than a few issues to work out, the least of which is the mother from hell apparently, who can't keep her mouth shut about her own family drama. Tony and Aaron seem to be moving along each chapter, getting a little closer. I do hope the money doesn't become an issue between Tony and Aaron, I don't think it should, but you never know about male pride. Excellent chapter, can't wait to see what Charlie fixed them for their special meal, and what comes next.

That was a beautiful thing that Zorro did, to make his brother into the hero that he wished him to be. Why is the tech wizard almost always a cranky ass. LOL. So, we meet another of the Musketeers.

Charlie the Chatty Chair
centexhairysub commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Charlie the Chatty Chair
Loved this one, so well done and just funny as hell. -
Some seriously good stories in a genre not always easy to pull off.

Beautifully written and the support and love from his family was heartwarming. Kieran and Charlie are both luckier than either of them truly realizes. Have to wonder if we will get to meet this gay cousin in Sydney.

So, rescue did come, let's hope it is in time to help Porthos and maybe even Zorro, I would think that fencing because of balance and several other factors would be hard to do with only one eye. I wonder if the Golden Retrievers here will ever even let the Count know they had Zorro. Or do they even believe that is who he is, I know they called him Viero Fox, but was that a lie as well? Truly hate that Leo died the way he did, but in a way, Zorro taking the invitation and trying to get to the tournament was about honoring who he though Leo should have been and trying to bridge the gap to make peace between the groups.

Kjell and Bella are angry
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Kjell and Bella are angry
Well, the right-wing nut jobs strike again. LOL, they are just everywhere. I am pretty sure that the age of consent in England is 16 for gay sex as long as the other person is not over 18 and in a position of authority over the other person, like a teacher, coach, boss, etc. I think that Vince was more on point than either of Arvid's parents. The more you try and force a teenager to do something, the harder it is to enforce it. Unless they send him off to school or to his family in Sweden, might be harder to keep them apart than they think. Sort of depends on the depth of Arvid's feelings for Freddie. So glad that Vince has bought Graham a piano, it will mean so much to him. Really just adore Dawn, would love to have tea and cakes with her. Can't wait to see how the party goes.- 8 comments

Well, it appears that another House will be merged into or taken over, wonder if the Dupont House has ties to the corporation here on Earth now? Robin and Pierre are an interesting dynamic as well, Pierre the scientist and brains, and Robin the one that can manage it all. Love how Marc and Adam take time for their family, and it is growing but they seem to have a really good system worked out for managing all the kids. The kids are exceptionally well behaved as well, but of course, some of that is the training and upbringing that Marc and Adam are supplying. How much resistance will the rest of the DuPont House put up to Pierre trying to merge into the Alexander/Knight House?

Tony and Aaron seem to be getting closer by the moment. Maybe they will fully heal the breach and make it all the way back together. Glad that Tony finally told someone what happened after he was thrown out of his mother's before he made it down to Luke and the rest of the guys. Tony cares about his brother and sister, but age and the fact that his mother acts the way she does, has kept them further apart than he would probably like. Tony wants the house, not sure if his agent is the one to get the ball rolling, but he will at least maybe know who to start with.

One of the great horrors of war is that it turns people we love and respect into strangers we don't even understand.

The Moral Right or Wrong Weighs Heavy
centexhairysub commented on Celian's story chapter in The Moral Right or Wrong Weighs Heavy
Not at all surprised by the level of assistance that Mistress Alice showed toward Dante. She is truly a good person. Also don't doubt that Mistress's Carolyn and Brittany were just happy that one of the runaways was dead and another captured. They just would not want anything to disrupt the efficient running of the farm or the others in the area. I am glad that nothing else happened to Matthew when Dante was forced to leave him alone to see to the safety of Mistress Alice. Frank was willing to stand up to his sister to stay and make sure that Dante was okay, I think he may have caught Alice of guard by his insistence. Dante will have to come to terms with this, Mistress Alice is right, if he doesn't this will haunt him more than it should. Dante may not like the actions he took but they were not only justified but right. The Priestess was a bitch. -
Weekly Wrap Up (Apr. 20 - Apr. 26)
centexhairysub commented on wildone's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Already had my case of light sunburn here in Central Texas about six weeks ago. LOL. Usually, the first one seems to catch me off guard, then after that I slather in sunscreen and wear hats, etc. Got six of the seven words of the week, so happy there. Hope you find some time to just decompress and enjoy your time off, enforced or not @wildone -
A thoroughly satisfying ending.

Let's hope they manage to save someone this time, and not just clean up the mess.

These damn Golden Retrievers are going to be so disappointed.

I have been one of the biggest proponents of the fact that I thought Brad owed Jeremy an apology more than Jeremy owed Will one or for sure owed Brad one. Neither of them nor anyone else seems to understand the devastation that Jeremy suffered from this news nor how it affected him and led him to lashing out at them both. I won't go as far as @PrivateTim, although I am not sure he is wrong. I don't think Brad so much neglected Jeremy as allowed first Jeanine and then Robbie to be the primary caregiver for JJ. Brad had more in common with Will, and so it was easier for him to bond with him and let the others take the lead with JJ. The problem was, once both Jeanine and Robbie were gone, Brad had no foundation for his relationship with JJ other than his love for him, and yes, I am sure that Brad deeply loves JJ, he just never knew how to relate to him. Jeremy chose to move his life forward with little input from Brad, and even less tolerance of what he saw as interference from someone that he had no close relationship with. Jeremy to some extent used Will and even Darius as a buffer with Brad as he had no way to relate to him on almost any level. Now, that is clearly Brad's fault, but Jeremy has reached an age, that if he truly wants to develop a relationship with Brad, he will need to do some of the work. But I think that Brad owes Jeremy a huge apology, and a frank discussion at some point.

A Florentine Offer, a Lingering Loyalty.
centexhairysub commented on E K Stokes's story chapter in A Florentine Offer, a Lingering Loyalty.
Etienne has faced true horrors on both a personal level, and with dealing with the horrors of war. He has survived these, and with the Prince and his cohorts have made it back to relative safety. A brief but exhilarating encounter has opened up another avenue for Etienne to travel. But that way will be full of risk as well, would not suspect that models for the work by an artist, even a great one, would be as secure as staying with the Prince. And what of the Prince, while he escaped the Court and went seeking adventure and tried to make a difference, still is forced to return to the same Court he escaped from, will his actions while he was gone make the Court any more palatable, or just make it that much more stifling. Very different lives are at the end of each of these decisions. -
Never understood the idea of torture, you can never know if the answer you are getting is the truth or just what the person being tortured finally decides you want to hear. I am guessing that Zorro's and Leo's father opposed the war, did not want Zorro to learn to fight in it, and didn't want Leo to go into it. Loneliness is something that I think most great people have in common. That and being different, without both, you don't have the adversity to really make something of yourself.

What happens when you discover that almost all those anywhere close to you are gone in the blink of an eye. What would you do, and would you have what it takes to survive. Could you help others, or only worry about yourself? An interesting story that is attempts to answer these questions, well written as always and the characters were truly memorable. I think most that give this story a shot will enjoy it. The two main reasons it lost a star for me were the lack of closure, yes, I realize that there may well be a sequel for the three boys, but so many other stories were left with no real answers. The other was the lack of menace for the type of story it was. I don't mean death and gore, but the fear of what was going on seemed to be missing for me, but neither reason is strong enough to keep me from recommending this story to all.

Reunions and Other Plans
centexhairysub commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Reunions and Other Plans
So glad that George, Lionel, and Larry were able to stay together. Lord, only Mary Louise could find a way to have a one car accident when literally no one else was on the road. As she did probably save Larry, I am glad that George and Lionel forgave her for her behavior. Well, a psychiatrist would have a field day, so you are upset about using prisoners for a deadly drug trial, so instead you steal the drug and plan a scenario that causes China and North Korea to kill tens of millions of people while you escape somewhere with a beach probably. A sequel with the boys would be nice, but maybe not another killer pathogen in the mix. LOL -
Tales from the honeymoon suite
centexhairysub commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in Tales from the honeymoon suite
Sounds lovely, and so glad that they Chatsworth, and Toby will be all jealous and they will have to take a trip back there. The cottage sounds lovely, if a little too much pink and chintz perhaps. Can't wait for Russ to appear, notwithstanding Di's disapproval. Gordon was right, Brian needed to send Deidre something about this. The pic and caption were spot on. Doesn't sound like Jasper may be in the picture much longer, worried that will make him more dangerous to Toby. Just a truly transcendent chapter. -
I truly am beginning to completely lose the narrative on the dynamic between Remy and Anduin. I know that Remy feels a certain draw to him, but I am not sure that he even likes him at all. Flavius is getting on my last nerve. Marc is becoming more interesting. Cain is more tolerant that I would be, perhaps the slip of a fingers as he is preparing some dish. And I still want Claire to die a really horrible death.
