The drug mask is slowly being noticed and Travis is still resisting counseling. Will is trying to not make it worse by bullying Travis but he should check out Travis' bags to find out what he is taking. I still think the big crash is at least a few chapters away, but it is getting closer... More please!

In Chapter 39, Will is catching on about the pills and trying to not be a controlling bitch. So my guess of chapter 42 may be a bit premature, although I suspect it will still be a real cliff hanger....

Chapter 18 was posted yesterday, July 30th and today the story is still in process....so I'm looking forward to an epilogue!

The writing is tight and flows naturally, but I'm hesitant to think it will be sufficiently wrapped up in one chapter. So I'm also campaigning for an epilogue!

Travis is destined for a Betty Ford visit in a few months at the pace of his increasing dependency... Kendo is a manipulative SOB and Travis is susceptible. Will is out of the loop and hopefully if Marie visits, she will see something and say something that makes a difference. As usual, thanks for sharing and I always eagerly await more.

I feel for Eric and I'm hoping Ash and Tag do to. I'm still hoping they can cobble an agreement together to come up with a bid better than Zane. Taggert has been surviving since the branding and only started to come alive again since getting close to Ash and the rest of the ranch hands. He has the knowledge and the ability honed by his grandfather to make something happen. I suspect our talented author will strategically surprise us how it comes together in the remaining chapters of this excellent book. The scene setting with the heat, dust, sweat and smells was excellent and like someone else earlier said, it was like watching a movie! Well done all around!

The whole "family" is coming together including in some unexpected ways. The addition of Mr. Brown being one. Somehow I think that building the dance floor over the pool is going to cause some unanticipated problems. Still wondering about the youngest son and how the ex stirs things up as Martin and Nathan seem much in love, but reluctant to be out about it....- 15 comments

Sixty million is the starting point pending addition of the parts of the Yoder ranch assets he now owns as well. Zane will contest and as Bert noted try to get it heard in the local court where Zane has influence. He will find out Tag's location and association with the Nassers. Tag explained to Ash that he valued being seen for a man and not a money ticket. I suspect that the money will still be somewhat of an issue for Ash, but he will have to get used to it... Zane is a control freak and that does not bode well. Looking forward to Wednesday's chapter to see just how Wayne plays this.

The first time I swam nude was at the Y in the 1950's. I've skinny dipped in creeks, lakes and rivers as a kid, but never as an adult. ☹️

Drama is certainly brewing. I'm surprised Fab blew off Marie too. Austin is Will's go to stress reliever and that was and continues to be a problem. Travis is being easily led down the road to full dependence on Xanax and Ambien. After the wonderful break where they relaxed and unplugged, it seems they are right back at pre-vacation stress levels. Thanks for sharing!

I suspect we need to actually find out what the trust includes and doesn't include of the vast Yoder resources. Zane still probably has plenty of his own resources but Tags may be in a position to form a partnership with Bert and Eric with Ash at his side. Hopefully Wayne can spool this out in a way that helps the good people in his story and craps on the assholes! Sunday sounds like a good day for us to see Tag meet Rebecca...

“Last I knew,” he said evenly, “Yoder Ranch had about forty-five million in liquid assets and another forty available through lines of credit. The maximum they'll be able to bid on Flemming Ranch without hurting themselves is about $85 million. Maybe a little less.” Even a 200,000 acre ranch would likely not have that much in liquid assets. Ash is there for Tag and if things proceed apace, I suspect Tag could develop into a power bottom. ( That could be me just projecting!) The auction could be delayed if the banks don't have all the debtors on board. An audit or another survey or valuation assessment could be demanded. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

it seems that Palomar wanted to see someone in Roses. I suspect his failure to return to the ship may cause him some problems later, but now George has his cabin back and perhaps a sensitive violinist to share it. The time does seem ripe for a little adventure, perhaps an encounter with pirates on the high seas! As always, thanks for the chapter and more please!

We camped as kids in scouts. My dad took our family camping once in tents, thereafter we rented a cabin or my mom wasn't going. My wife and I went camping once and after that it was hotels until we got our timeshare where we had a full condo with all the amenities including a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. With exchanges we visited Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas and Wisconsin over the years as well as several trips to Branson, MO. Camping is casual, fun and an experience, but my old bones prefer a good mattress and air conditioning....

I don't see any indication that Taggert or Ash have the where-with-all to make a run at the Fleming ranch. Taggert may be able to advise Nasser on strategy dealing with Yoder, but unless he wants to go public and embarrass his dad, that may be the limit of any help he can contribute. Ranching is big business and I'm wondering if Eric's family checked into mineral rights including oil on the property. I'm not sure of the actual time frame of this story but the modern fracking boom took off in Oklahoma between 2010 and 2015.... Taggert needs to ask Ash to move into his trailer, because Ash would never invite himself.

Travis starred in a winning performance both on and off the court. The unplugged vacation at the exotic island resort should be what everyone needs. The cyclone and flooding rains in the area all happened in February 2006 per Gemini. So hopefully the idyllic weather continues. I expect that when they get their phones back, they all will have blown up with texts, missed calls and voice mails.... Enjoy your cruise and the cuisine!

You do describe kisses very well, the tenuous exploratory, the questing and the passionate ones as well. It was a perfect response that neither of them lasted very long with all their pent up frustrations. The important part was that Ash held on and didn't separate even to go to sleep, but slept curled up to Tag and held on tightly. The psychological scars are still very tender but Tag was able to drift off back to sleep which demonstrated progress. The next chapter should reveal if the progress is in fits and starts or moves forward a little more smoothly. The pacing was just right and the whole chapter is one to be proud of...thanks for sharing!

Palomar continues to need watching. Valera should be more than competent. Herera has much to admire. The sea trials and putting the newly outfitted ship and men through their paces should be a treat and hopefully solidify Granger's influence. Happy 4th despite the narcissistic despot who would be king.

Marie makes an awesome beard. Travis loves threesomes but doesn't want to be a throuple. Will is enjoying being the power bottom in control and makes the travel arrangements. Wondering if Fab gets the message Marie is making? Hopefully we find out in the next installment. Thanks for the chapter....and as usual, more please!

With most of the U.S. getting a day off tomorrow, today already felt like a Friday! Ash is just a decent guy and Tag like James notices things. Ash may be sexually naive, but feels things in his gut and is open to a more intimate relationship. Baby steps and taking it slow seems to be working along with his non-judgmental attitude. Cooking for the cook's birthday was simply heartwarming. Still like the pace of the story, but it could pick up a bit now that Tags identity is out.
